You murder a man, and all of a sudden people are scared of you.Slate Solis went from being a guy that people went to in times of need to an ex-con that people crossed the street to avoid being too close to.He knows he’s done wrong, but out of all of his sins, only one really bothers him—coveting thy neighbor’s wife.Harleigh Belle—the cute little lady that never gives him a second glance. After … him a second glance.
After seeing her for the first time while he was in prison, she’s stayed on his mind for three long years. Each time she comes in to visit with her friend on family day, he can’t help but stare.
Then the day comes that he’s set free, and he’s almost disappointed that he’ll never see her again.
Except fate has different plans.
He hasn’t been back in his house for more than three hours when he sees her.
Harleigh Belle in all her glory…oh, and her husband that is everything Slate isn’t.
He tells himself that her being fifty feet away from him, all day every day, is a complete coincidence. One that he shouldn’t take advantage of. The more time passes, the harder it gets to stay away. Until one day, and one very ill-timed thunderstorm, ruin everything.
Who knew that baby-making-weather was a real thing?

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. This is my first read by Lani Lynn Vale and let me just tell you I’m going all the back to the beginning to read Izzy’s story. I just loved Slates character and Harleigh’s character just cracked me up. I loved al the banter between all the characters within the story. There were definitely some twist and turns I didn’t see coming. This book just sucked me in and I couldn’t wait to find out how they got their HEA.
Slate Solis has served his time for the murder of the killer of his fiancee. He is out and ready to have some solitude, that would be easy if his brother in law didn’t make him a member of a The Bear Bottom Guardians MC and the neighbor he had seen a few times before hadn’t kept a permanent resident in his mind.
Harleigh Belle cant deny that she finds Slate attractive but he has become a thorn in her side. After a few pranks go awry Slate doesn’t know what to do with Harleigh kiss her or send her on her way. Could the best thing that ever happened to him be the one to heal his heart?
Fantastic. Loved the banter between Slate and Harleigh. Harleigh is probably my favorite heroine so far. Loved Slate and was eager to read his story when he was introduced. This series keeps knocking it out the park. Well worth picking up.

Another fantastic 5 star read by LLV! Slate is finally released after being in prison for the last decade, give or take. He’s been staying with his sister, Izzy and her husband Rome and their two kids when he decides it’s finally time to go back to the house he bought with his deceased fiancée. Though his neighbour Harleigh starts pushing buttons that rile him up from the minute he steps onto his property, with her sleeping in his hammock on his property….outside
I loved Slate and Harleigh together and definitely didn’t see some of the surprises that were in store when LLV decided to drop them Can’t wait for more by this author as she is one of my favourites and I always make time to read her stories, if I’m busy
5 ‘I Fell In Love. Deep. Hard. Forever’ Stars
O.M.F-Bomb.G!!! Slate and Haleigh’s story was the PERFECT wrap up for yet another brilliant Lani Lynn Vale series! Heart poundingly emotional, gut hurting funny and, hot and bothered SCORCHING F-Bomb truly is a full on body experience!!!
Slate Solis is the man I’ve been more curious about from this series. Every since the very first book, where we got Izzy and Rome’s story in Mess Me Up, when Slate was introduced to us, as well as the unveiling of his tragic past and what got him in prison, I’ve been dying to see him get his HEA, and what role his past would have in his future happiness. I can honestly say that Ms. Vale crafted that past into his story, it all in the most perfect and unexpected of ways, because not once did I feel that Harleigh was not his true love. We felt the need, the hunger, the desire, the yearning, was there from the very first sight of her. Even if he thought she was a married woman, lol. He just couldn’t stop his craving, but hell, he fought the pull with everything he had, but once it was clear she was free and all his for the taking… Control unleashed! LOL
Harleigh we know from the very first LLV series, Freeboards, as Max and Payton’s baby girl. Like all the Free kids, she’s overall AWESOME and kickass, but in reaction to her hot neighbor apparent dislike of her, she shows she’s my ‘spirit animal’ because she just took it and gave it back tenfold in the attitude department. With the ever present chemistry there, this bickering between them just became the most delicious kind banter.
Once they had nothing in their way, all the misconceptions cleared, and the attraction just became too much to contain, and all that craving unleashed, WOW…Talk about perfect timing with the baby making weather as background! Perfect setting! And so unmeasurably HOT!!!
Slate and Harleigh were indeed the perfect cherry ending on top of this amazing series. Slate is now amongst my all time fav LLV, and best book boyfriends. He stole a bit of my heart way back then on Mess Me Up, and now I just fell head over heels for the big, loner and kind, bearded man. Add to that his obsession, protectiveness and undying love and devotion for Haleigh, even when he was trying so hard to alienate the feeling, he just conquered my heart completely. Harleigh is such a relatable character, completely unapologetic – which I floved! – and such an overall amazing female main character. How could she not with those parents?!
Lani Lynn Vale couldn’t have tied up more beautifully the Bear Botton MC. These were the perfect characters to give us all the feels but also all the closure we needed from this gang, and what a better way than a trip to Disney World?! LOL. I loved every second of F-Bomb, and that Epilogue was the most stunning and heart warming way to wrap up this journey, while also simultaneously being the golden key for future and new series, because with that teasing of Harleigh’s brother, Dax, character?! I need his very own book STAT!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
I was super excited to read Harliegh Belle’s book and it was pretty good! I love that this author’s characters are sassy as all get out and the alphas are cranky but fall hard for their love’s. I have been so curious to read how the H’s story was going to go and lets just say I wouldn’t mind having him for my spouse! Suspense and humor as always with a fantastic ending for the series!
4.5 Stars
I’ve been eagerly awaiting Slate’s story since he was first introduced in Mess Me Up, and F-Bomb did not disappoint.
Slate and Harleigh complement each other beautifully. He’s a bit of a loner, who craves solitude after serving time in prison. Although brooding and gruff, he’s also kind, caring, compassionate and loving.
Harleigh is strong, feisty and incredibly sassy.
The chemistry between this pair is intense and undeniable, and I loved their back and forth bickering, and argumentative, but also fun and flirtatious banter.
One of the things I adore about Lani’s books is her ability to make you feel like you are apart of the world her characters inhabit. I’ve become addicted to her characters, and love that so many favourites, both new and old appeared within this storyline.
If you love a suspenseful story of family, friendship and brotherhood look no further than F-Bomb.
I can’t wait to see which character features next.
Another fantastic book by Lani Lynn Vale. I always look forward to her books and she rarely lets me down.
This book has a bit of everything in it. It made me happy, sad, shocked and mad. The bad guy needed taking care of and Slate and Harleigh had a lot to work out, but in true Lani Lynn Vale style, they had a lot of help where they needed it the most.
The chapter of the next series that is coming up was really good, so I can’t wait for that to come out now.
GAH! Lani Lynn Vale has struck gold once again! I have been looking forward to Slate Solis’ book since Mess Me Up where we met Slate’s sister Izzy and her wounded hero, Rome. I knew Slate had an amazing story and I could not wait for it!! I absolutely loved him and Harleigh so much. Their chemistry was combustible and I loved how they were both drawn to one another despite wanting to avoid each other in the same breath. I never wanted this story to end!!
It is a proven fact that this author’s stories can never be long enough. I seriously can read them forever. I fall in love with the stories and the amazing brotherhood, friendships, banter and comraderie. Slate and Harleigh were so sexy. She was sassy, strong and such a great match for this broody, reclusive yet loving man. Slate was just so perfect. Protective of his family and the woman who got under his skin and into his heart so fast. I truly loved this story. As always I loved the added suspense woven throughout the story and can’t wait for more! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
I was so excited for Slate’s story and per usual Lani Lynn Vale did not disappoint! After getting a little insight in the past couple books about Slate and the surface reason as to why he is in jail and then what he does while in jail, I was hooked and knew there was much more to the story but I was not prepared. I also really enjoyed Harleigh and her story, especially after it intrigued me that she preferred to sleep in a hammock outside. The chemistry between the two was a crazy push and pull that I couldn’t wait to see how they ended up together. I was also really thrown by the answers to all the questions I accumulated throughout the book. I was on the edge of my seat and it was an epic ending. As always, I love her books and can never get enough. They are the perfect amount of romance, suspense, flow, and length. Something I also love that she does is connect all the different series that she has. If you’ve read Boomtown, you would see a lot of familiar faces in her recent books, and I love that it’s a continuation of those characters in the background while giving us the stories of the next generation. I will continue to read every book she puts out and can’t wait to see where she goes next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Lani Lynn Vale never disappoints! It feels like I have been waiting for Slate’s story for a long time. He was introduced in the past, and his story intrigued me. His story is so much more than intriguing, it was heartbreaking, and beautifully turned into something more than what he thinks he deserves. It’s always nice that people from other books are intertwined each story, its refreshing to get a glimpse into what they are doing now. This was an exciting, suspenseful, and passionate ride to go on with Slate and Harleigh.
5 Star Review F-Bomb (Bear Bottom Guardians MC #9) by Lani Lynn Vale
Despite having read other books by Lani Lynn Vale I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into with this addition to the Bear Bottom Guardians MC.
What can I say about F-Bomb that will give it the justice it deserves?
Slate Solis is an ex-con just released from jail. People used to come to him for help, now they fear him. He is shocked to find out that the woman he has lusted after for several years whilst in jail is non other than his neighbour Harleigh Belle.
Despite knowing that he needs to avoid Harleigh, Slate is drawn to her. The chemistry between them is almost electrifying with it’s intensity. Harleigh is a strong and feisty woman who is the perfect heroine for Slate.
F-Bomb is not only a romance, it is a story of brotherhood and the suspense that is throughout the story only added to my reading pleasure.
At times the story was confronting as it tackled several hard issues making it a but like riding an emotional roller coaster. However through it all the strength of the writing and the characters themselves captivated me as you cannot help but be drawn in.
Simply put I loved this book and now I am off to read previous books in this series.
The Bear Bottom MC is my favorite series so far. I love all the big badass alpha makes and their stubborn, quirky, hard headed women. The banter and chemistry between the characters is so entertaining. I love everything about this series and this book.
So happy to have Slate’s HEA! And Harleigh was just perfect for him. And he for her. They start out bickering, but it’s not the hardcore poking at each other that other couples by this author have gone through, which made it a much more pleasant read for me. Loved the family dynamic & the vacation they went on, great banter & of course some steamy times as well. And we got to see some other POVs toward the end, which was fun! : )
This is my first book by Miss Vale and this is not going to be my last! wow what an amazing ride this book was! I seriously can’t wait to read more from this author!
Slate! We finally have Slate in our hands!! I have been waiting for his story, since Bayou’s. He was in book 5 quite often and I fell in love with him, then.
Fresh out of prison for killing his fiancée’s murderer, this ex-cop wants to live his life. Away .. alone .. by himself. He doesn’t want messy neighbors or women coming around putting their nose into his business. That is, until he comes home to find a woman lying in his hammock. One who knew no boundaries and laid in his hammock, on his property all he wanted. Time made his annoying neighbor seem cute and in no time at all, he found himself intrigued. Thing is … she doesn’t seem interested. How will he get her to join him on the wild side?
Lani has some of the most intriguing stories around. I get so excited when a new one hits my kindle and I have not come across one I have not liked, yet. The Bear Bottom Guardians are some hot studs, so be sure to pick up your copies and fall in love with these hot bikers today!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

If you have read any of this series then you know who Slate is from a previous book. You too will know that his partner and fiancee were killed and Slate when after her killer. He then found himself with a murder charge. Now the time has come for him to get out of prison and for him to move into the house that he bought before he went to prison. The very house his sister is staying in and his MC brothers just don’t seem to understand him anymore. All he wants is to be left alone. However he can not keep his neighbors out of his yard and that is the last place he wants Harleigh to be. This woman is mouthy and makes some serious assumptions about Slate. However when she starts to get to know him you can so tell they have some amazing chemistry. Also you need to be prepared for Harleigh’s story. I know Slates by Harleigh’s I was not quiet ready for. WOW!!! I too loved the fact that we get to see some old familiar faces that I know we have all grown to love with each and every book. If you love a frenemies to lovers book then you don’t want to miss this one. I will always say too to read the headers under each chapter They never fail to crack me up and I love them.
Lani Lynn Vale has the power of creating these powerful, strong, sometimes acid and sometimes sweet characters that makes the story so unique and unlike anything you ever read.
Slate was in jail for something he really has done it (although he has an excuse and it is a strong reason). Harleigh has been through some trauma and is hanging there and living her life with her family and best friends. They actually met in prison and now for some reason they are neighbors.
This story is so full of great characters and we still see the other characters from the Bear Bottom Guardians.
I just loved how their love story evolve and how Slate starts to trust Harleigh and see who she really is.
Wonderful book!
Yes! It’s Harleigh Belle and Slate’s story! I couldn’t be more excited or happy to finally have this book.
This is book nine in the Bear Bottom Guardians MC series. It is a standalone. But if this is your first book of Lani’s, you will be hooked and read all of her previous books.
We first met Harleigh as a very tiny baby, that could fit into a gas station soda cup, in Another One Bites The Dust. Don’t worry, that is her parents, Max and Peyton’s, story. This is all hers.
Slate is released from prison, and basically starting his life again.
Thanks to his sister, Izzy, he still has everything. Including a neighbor that keeps sleeping in his hammock!
I loved how the relationship developed between them. It wasn’t rushed. It did develop fast, but when ya know, ya know.
I don’t want to say much more because I would hate to give any spoilers.
This is another fantastic read. And in about a month I will be rereading it since I’m doing a complete reread right now.

I’m just going to say it, if you have not read from Boomtown on, you are seriously missing out on some feels! There is something about second gen books that I love, and Harleigh’s story is just a bit more special for me, as her parents are one of my favs! By now you know that almost all of LLV’s books connect in some way or another, so it’s not a surprise that Slate, Izzy’s brother, gets his own book. Slate, a former cop that went to prison for murder, actually gets sort of recruited by Free and also by the Bear Bottom MC. Now released on parole, Slate is looking forward to having freedom and solitude, the last thing he needs is his neighbor sleeping in his hammock and encroaching on his property. It doesn’t matter that she is the first woman in years that he is interested in, he knows that nothing can come from it, she is after all his new boss’ daughter. All it takes is one moment, one moment in time where everything about their situation changes, Slate stops fighting the pull and Harleigh is more than ready for him to make his move. Will it all turn out to be a huge mistake for the two of them?
I loved everything about this story, the movie that played in my head was amazing. Getting to see everyone is always nice. This story had drama, danger, violence, funny bits, and some really hot naughty bits. I give this 5 stars and am so ready for whats next!

Slate has finally gotten released from prison and after a few weeks living with his sister Izzy and her husband, and fellow Bear Bottom MC brother Rome, he returns home. Looking forward to some peace and quiet and not having to follow anybody’s rules he is shocked and irritated to find his feisty, beautiful, neighbour Harleigh sleeping in his hammock. Enjoying riling each other up, this story ends up being a sort of enemies to lovers type thing, although the enemies part was more fun than anything else and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This was yet again, another great read from Lani Lynn Vale and I can’t wait for whatever comes next. I give F-Bomb 5 stars.
