I love this series, the characters are so love-able. I feel like I’m there with them, fighting the battles and riding the dragons, it’s so interesting. I’m excited to get started on “Hero” book 2 in this series. I got this book free from the writer and left this review voluntarily.
How quickly life can change.
Exciting, interesting, fast paced story with wonderful characters. Enter a new world with Ezaara when she realizes Dragons and Tharuks are real.
Ezaara grew up in a place called Lush Valley with her parents and her twin brother Tomaaz. Tomaaz and his best friend Lofty were going to leave the Valley some day and Ezaara made him promise to take her with him. He made her promise that if she left she would take him with her. She was out looking for owl-wort when she felt something and looked upwards seen a dragon circling the tree tops. A voice hummed in her mind calling her name and telling her that it was her destiny to ride with her. So she left with Zaarusha the Queen Dragon. She left everything behind including her brother. When she arrived at Dragon Hold she was greeted with skepticism by some of the people because she was from Lush Valley. Others greeted her with great joy because the Queen finally had another rider. The book is well written and very entertaining. It starts the story of Ezaara and Zaarusha and Roberto and his Dragon Erob. This book is first in a series and I look forward to reading the next book…
Ezaara is an amazing girl with a truly harrowing story! She leaves her whole life behind to become the queens rider. She gives all she has and goes against all odds. There’s even a love story thrown in! Hard to put down once I started!
Ezaara from Eileen Mueller’s Riders of Fire series is an excellent beginning for a fantasy revolving around dragons. I found the characters to be well developed, diverse, and interesting. The story/plot flows along to a cliffhanger, urging the reader into the second book in the series. While not a fan of cliffhangers in middle grade books, I recommend this book to upper middle grade/young teen readers, especially those who enjoy multi book series.
This is the second time I’ve read this book in a month, I enjoyed the preview, Bronze dragon, so much that I bought as many of the Dragon’s Realm novels that were available and then I devoured them. I wanted to review them but they were so well written that I couldn’t stop, the story flows so smoothly and there are so many things happening with plenty of action, danger and romance.
I recommend this series for teen to centenarians and it would even be good to read to or with younger children (as long as you leave out the mushy bits) enjoy!
This book drops you in the middle of the action and you must figure it out. It bounces from past to present a bit but it keeps you on your toes. The twists keep coming and the Intrigue, Mystery and Adventure suck you into a new world!
I’m glad I didn’t attempt to listen to this one during the semester… it is addictive, exciting, and has several twists along the way. The love, passion, and hardships throughout the story are very well done.
I don’t want to give anything away, so I am going to leave it at that.
The only thing wrong with this book was that I lost sleep over it because I couldn’t stop listening. The story was perfect; the narration was perfect; the characters were perfect. Not since Eragon, have I loved a dragon or a dragon rider so much.
Ezaara was bored with her small-town life and fascinated with dragons, so when she met one, it was no surprise that they so quickly bonded. Zaarusha is not just any dragon, she just so happens to be the dragon queen, as well as a dragon who has waited long for a rider. Together, the two return to Dragon’s Realm where Ezaara meets dozens of dragons and their riders and other humans who work alongside dragons. Ezaara’s master trainer, Roberto, is challenging and she struggles to become a rider worthy of the queen, although Zaarusha never doubts her fitness.
But there are traitors in Dragon’s Realm and Ezaara has to discern who to trust. Her adventure leads her beyond Dragon’s Realm into more dangerous lands both with and without Zaarusha. There she discovers enemies more deadly than she had imagined, as well as unexpected friendships. This beautiful story can be read alone but leaves plenty of room for an entire series, which I am thrilled to discover that Eileen Mueller has already begun to write. I can’t want to see what’s next for Ezaara and Zaarusha and the rest of their friends.
I was given a free copy of the audiobook by the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
