Cain’s and London’s story has so many layers to it. As they are revealed, you are drawn to their drama. He is a biker and London is all over the place. She connects with Cam who is trying to become part of the mafia. When everything comes out it will be enlightening for some and detrimental to others! This nonstop action thriller will keep you glued to the pages.
Sapphire has everything in this one. Hot sexy bikers, mafia man, feisty woman and an amazing bond. My kind of book. Second in this series and just as amazing as the first one. Again I reread this one wanting to enjoy some of Sapphire’s books in my free time. So glad that I reread this series. This one is all about London and Cain who you meet in book one. London is leaving town to help her best friend Emily leaving behind the love of her life. Cain doesn’t take that very well at all. Believing that she will never see Cain again she moves on to Cameron. But both of them don’t have any expectations from each other until something happens that changes everything. This one was page turning once London gets her surprise. I loved it. So well written and enjoyable. Highly recommend. So glad I have it in paperback.
This was interesting and quite full on, the time frame confused me a little with the two months ago ect when it didn’t seem to start at current time but once it actually got to that it flowed more smoothly. There was a little violence but not masses, for the most part it was about Cain and London and them building a relationship that wasn’t all plain sailing. I did enjoy the second half more than the first but it’s still quite a good read and since I ready have more of this series I will be reading them soon. Started 19/4/21 Finished 19/4/21

h: London
H: Cain
Cain is at a grocery store getting a few necessities when he spies a woman having trouble getting orange juice off the top shelf. He helps her, and recognizes her instantly as a girl who he used to help in the seventh grade. London doesn’t recognize Cain (as Brandon, the teenage boy who helped her in math) and follows him to the compound to find out how Cain knew her name. They spend three months together, inseparable, and then London leaves in a flash to go help her friend Emily, in Tennessee, who is in danger.
This was a very interesting read for me. I enjoyed the authors writing style and it was interesting enough to read. This was sort of an insta-lust book, even though they knew each other as teenagers. They weren’t really friends, Cain just helped her in math class. I wouldve liked to see a little bit more of their relationship during the three months where we’re told they were inseparable. I loved that London was feisty and held her own. I loved that Cain appeared to be in charge, but deep down, he was a huge softy to London. He had me swooning at some parts
Personally, I’m not a fan of OW/OM drama, but it didn’t bother me to the point of hating it. When I read about Cain having sexual relations after London left, I wasn’t too thrilled, but I looked at it from the point of, ‘They’re separated’. I continued reading and found out that London has also had sexual relations with someone else in the short time of them being apart. Would I have liked for them to be celibate during the time they were apart? Sure, but it didn’t ruin the book for me. It did make me wonder when London sees Cameron having sex with another woman, days after she left him, and makes a remark about, “If he missed me then he wouldn’t be sleeping with random chicks in the parking lots of bars.” Essentially, I felt like Cain should’ve been held to the same standard, but I guess London never really finds out about Cain’s sexcapades while they were apart?
Something that confused me a bit was adding Cameron’s POV for a few chapters here and there. Again, it didn’t ruin it for me but I found it to be a little confusing, an interesting idea, but maybe not necessary? Idk? Something that might bother some readers, is they use the term ‘bitch’ a lot to describe women, even London. It’s an MC romance, it’s not gonna be all rainbows and butterflies!
Overall this was a good read for me and I’m definitely looking forward to reading the next one!
Favorite quotes:
”Why would I give you my number if you call me ‘baby’? Real original. Clearly, I’m not like every other ‘baby’ out there. I’m colorful, so at least try a little harder next time.” -London
”God, it feels like you can touch my cervix inside there.”
Whatever that means, I’m going to take it as a compliment. -Cain
Rubbing me softly, the tenderness had me dozing off, when I hear him whisper right as I’m falling asleep.
“I love you, baby boy, and your gorgeous momma, too.” -Cain
Suspenseful, wild roller coaster ride of a story. London was a little much, it seemed like she jumped from person to person. Although we only read about Cain and Cameron, but it seems like she moved on from Cain a little to fast for my liking. Cain was protective, possessive and head of heals in love with London. This is a frustratingly- loving mafia/MC story. A Crazy ride for sure.
I could not wait for London’s book! This is a standalone book but I recommend to read the first book in the series Secret.London is such a strong a sassy heroine! There is a love triangle between London, Cain and Cameron… I wont tell who she picks but I was REALLY happy with her choice! This book has MC, Mafia, romance, twist and turns! I cant wait for the next book in the series!
