I love enemies to lovers and Explicit is JUST THAT!! Get to reading!! You’re going to love it!
Wow! This book is one emotional rollercoaster ride that I didn’t want to get off. Amazing story about two broken people that together they figure out that being broken isn’t a bad thing. Bad boy Pierce Lancaster was all Lindsey ever wanted but he never say her, there was always another woman got to him first. When one drunken night turns into something more, she knows she can never let him in. He destroyed her heart once and it will never happen again. So when events drop Pierce right into Lindsey’s world she knows she has to fortify her walls or Pierce will want in and destroy her and this time there will be no coming back. Amazing characters that I found myself loving from the first few pages. This story had me feeling every emotion and I had to break out my kleenex box too. Definitely highly recommend this book and author.
Ava Harrison has saved the best Lancaster brother for last…Pierce’s book is so good!
The bad boy of the family, Pierce struggles with addiction and denial. He’s struggled finding his place in a family filled with success stories, grabbing attention however he can. When he goes too far, community service is the only thing keeping him out of jail. The youth center where Lindsey spends her time may be his salvation in more ways than one.
Lindsey also struggles with self-esteem and self-doubt. She’s been battered by life, but she keeps on trying…strong and determined despite the setbacks thrown her way.
Pierce and Lindsey are awesome characters… Perfectly imperfect, wonderfully written, easy to root for. Their determination to help others brings them to common ground, and that results in spectacular, scorching chemistry. I loved them separately and together. I actually loved everything about this book too…it is deserving of 5+ stars!
This book blew me away!! It was even better than I could have ever imagined!! It was very emotional and incredibly intense….and I devoured every single word. A beautiful story of love and hope!! One of the best books this author has written!!
Lost another piece of my heart to a Lancaster man. I think Pierce may have replaced Grant as my favorite though. I am a total sucker for a broken alpha man who’s in need of a little redemption. Lindsay was everything Pierce needed but didn’t quite realize till he was almost beyond repair.
There was definitely chemistry between Pierce and Lindsay but there were pieces of Pierce that I think Lindsay both loved and hated at the same time. A reminder of all she was as well as a reminder of what she could have become had fate not dealt her a cruel hand.
I was smitten with Pierce from the start. His dislike of Spencer and his commanding know it all ways only endeared him to me more. But Spencer is the one who puts Pierce on the path to change his life so I will give him a nod.
Pierce has many inner struggles to overcome but I loved watching him evolve from self destructive to protective and lighthearted. He not only struggles to better himself but to be a better person for Lindsay.
Lindsay battles with her own past and insecurities. She definitely has a strong attraction to Pierce but her scars run deeper than her skin. With the right man by her side she starts to heal.
I devoured this book in just a few hours. So caught up in the writing of Ava Harrison and her ability to make you vested in the characters outcome. I was late to the works of Ava Harrison with this only being the 3rd book I have read from her but I am working on catching up because I don’t plan on missing another.
I know they say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but let’s ignore that for a moment and take in the yummy goodness that is this book cover. My bookshelf is full right now, but I’m certain I could make room for Pierce and his all-around sexiness! My goodness this cover is exquisite.
Pierce may be the baby of the Lancaster brothers, but there certainly is no shortage of swoon worthy manliness where he is concerned. Considered the black sheep of the brothers, Pierce does whatever he can to gain the attention of his overachieving, successful family. He doesn’t share their desire and need to make it big in Corporate America, but that doesn’t mean he lacks passion of his own.
Lindsey knows firsthand what it’s like living life estranged from your family. She is troubled and feels beat down by life, but that doesn’t mean she’s weak. Lindsay suffers through a terrible incident and although it changed the course of her life, she came out stronger and better for it. I admired her drive and determination. Pierce and Lindsay have so much in common, it’s right in front of them but they’re both too vulnerable to recognize it. These two are beautifully flawed and broken. They feel invisible to their families, but there need to feel loved and accepted is overpowering.
Pierce and Lindsey complement each other in ways they never imagined. This was a heartwarming tale of two misunderstood souls coming together to find a balance of love and peace in a world that continues to challenge their choices in life.
Ava captures Pierce and Lindsey’s journey together with heart, determination and honesty. They both must learn to trust again and that doesn’t come without it’s challenges. Ava shows us what it’s like to be human, to accept others for all their broken pieces and to celebrate the good in each of us.
The baby boy, acting out to get the attention he always wanted, not taking the time to make good choices. A wild party boy with money and access to liquor and drugs, fighting to clean up his act, until he’s scared straight. Friends and family have given up but not her. Barely holding it together and fighting to return to the healed and whole person she was before she sees him. This author writes a steamy romance that will break your heart and then make your world right again. This is an emotional read because of the issues they are dealing with and their own luggage which is packed and overflowing. That’s what brings them together, keeps them there and makes their story so special. Overcoming their careless behaviors and making things right with not only themselves but their families.
I don’t know where to start in describing how incredible Explicit is!! I was immediately drawn in with the first sentence in Chapter 1, and I didn’t stop reading until I was finished. It is so amazing and has quickly become my favorite book from her. Ahh, it was just so, so good!! (Even though this is the third story of the Lancaster brothers, you definitely don’t need to read Clandestine and Sordid first).
Pierce and Lindsey are two beautifully broken souls, that find something in one another that they never got with those who should have given it unconditionally. They gave each other acceptance and understanding. Showed the other they were worth loving and healed the parts the other thought was too damaged to be fixed. You can’t help but fall in love with them, as they are something special.
Seriously, if you haven’t read from her yet……pick this book up. Read it. Enjoy it. Love it. Have some tissues handy too, because there was more than one time that I had tears in my eyes. I absolutely love all of Ava Harrison’s books, but in my opinion…….Explicit is her best work yet! It is definitely another story that will be added to my favorites of 2018!!
All the feels in one book! I started out wanting to stab both Lindsey and Pierce in the eyeball with a fork, however, that soon faded to love. I loved both flawed broken characters so much!! This author has a way of putting two broken souls together, shaking them up, and making them whole once more. The angst, the lust, the love, the anger, this book gives it all to you. A beautiful story, so well written it’s flawless in it’s execution. This story is told in dual pov.
Lindsay and Pierce are two kindred souls finding their way after being broken, neither wanting to see how similar the roads are that they have both traveled. Lindsay’s party days are in her past but she still has to physically and mentally recover. Pierce’s addictions are faced every day and the consequences of his actions place him back together with Lindsay. The push pull is great and I really appreciate such a strong female lead. There was just the right amount of angst. The HEA was perfect for this sexy, beautifully broken couple.
Explicit (so aptly titled) was such a beautiful love story that flows well and was well written. I wasn’t prepared for how deep the emotions and story would run.
Pierce and Lindsey are great together but you also get to see plenty of them as individuals. The story isn’t overly dramatic like some live stories can be. It’s more about two souls finally coming together after knowing each other for years.
Ava wrote a deep, soulful and wonderful love story in Explicit. She has a broad imagination and great writing style. Can be read as a stand-alone.

I have read this author and her work before but I just could not connect with this book. This book just didn’t not keep my attention.
“There doesn’t need to be anything wrong to be broken. You can appear to be perfect, but inside…”
Ava Harrison brings us an emotionally charged story filled with hope and love!
Pierce and Lindsey’s journey is heartfelt and beautiful. They both struggle with their emotions and their feelings of family neglect, they struggle with letting go of the past and feeling broken, they struggle with drowning out the pain. They strive to be better, they strive to help make a life for the boys at the Polaris Boys Club, they want to make a difference to these boys, to their families, and, most importantly, to themselves. This story is filled with hope, acceptance, and love.
This story deals with difficult subject matter, and for some, it will hit closely. Ava Harrison does a wonderful job at showcasing not only what Pierce and Lindsey go through, and their feelings and thoughts, but also how others around you are also affected. This story is very real, it’s raw, it’s written with passion, and it’s emotional and sincere.
A fantastic, heartfelt story that is sure to bring out every emotion and fill your heart with love.
“But you can’t live your life in fear. There are no guarantees in life. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll always be lost. But what if you stop looking for the answer and just enjoy the journey?”
Explicit a great addition to the Lancaster family!
The story was amazing, full of twists and turns that captivated you and unabled you to put the book down for even a second. It made me cry quite some times to be honest. The place where a lot of this story felt saddening and inspirational at the same time.
I appreciated what Ava did with the characters. I feel like she took them to a whole new level. She showed them at their best as well as at their worse. Yet both Pierce and Lindsey were kind of encouraging. Pierce is a great character – underestimated and not preciated enough! Ava went into depth with him and it’s interesting to get into his head. To see beyond his family’s opinion on him. Lindsey had a troubled past as well and we got to see her dealing with her own demons.
Brought together, they created this tornado of emotions and it was fabulous observing where the tornado takes the characters as well as the readers.
This is a total 5-star one-click!
Pierce Lancaster is the youngest of the Lancaster brothers and the wildest. Lindsey Walker is beautiful, determine and an ex party girl. These two have much in common but, they both want to change and are guarded from past hurts and disappointments. Their connection is strong and they both want to be able to help
their fellow man without their pass tainting it. They both end up peeling back their layers to truly see what is underneath. This journey of falling in love and fighting and doing what you are meant to do was amazing. I feel in love with both these characters and of course characters from this series come to add to their story. Ava, I just want more. I hope this is not the last we read of Pierce or of the Lancaster brothers.
Yes!! I finally got the youngest Lancaster’s story and it’s a heartbreaking one.
Pierce is such a flawed man, and yet, he’s not irredeemable. He’s the black sheep of the family, the one his brothers pass over every time. The one everyone else sees as just a careless, drifting waste. He’s so not, though. He’s just got lots of demons and lots of issues. He’s known reformed party girl Lindsey for quite some time. Now that she’s a REFORMED party girl, she knows she needs to stay away from this beautiful, broken man, but she just can’t. They keep getting thrown into each other and soon they’re seeing each other like they’ve never seen each other, or anyone else, before.
Reading Pierce and Lindsey’s journey was quite simply heartbreaking, and beautiful, and it got me where most fiction rarely does – right in soul. I absolutely loved Explicit. Ava has set the bar extremely high with Pierce and Lindsey’s story. I’m not sure anyone to come will ever be able to ever surpass it. If you haven’t been reading the Lancaster series, I highly advise you to start now. And save the best for last because Pierce is truly the best Lancaster and his story is most definitely Ava’s best, by far!
Will you look at this cover? OMG! This cover is exactly how I picture Pierce Lancaster! This man has stolen my heart!
I have been an Ava Harrison fan since early on and she gets better with every book. Explicit is definitely my favorite and Pierce and Lindsey are my IT couple. She does an exceptional job writing damaged and broken people.
In this enemies to lovers book we get a true feel for how Pierce has been broken over the years and how he is struggling to be the person he wants to be. Until Lindsey. She is the person he WANTS to be better for. He will do whatever it takes to show her that he wants to change for her and be the person who truly sees her.
Lindsey has always been invisible to her family and she thought to Pierce Lancaster as well. When he unexpectedly comes back into her life, she is drawn to him, yet doesn’t want him there. She tries to push him away, but his brokenness calls to her. She sees a kindred spirit.
Pierce does so much growing in this book and fights for Lindsey. I loved watching these two work for their love. I definitely shed some tears in this one. Pierce is everything! Loved it!
5 STARS FOR PIERCE AND LINDSEY!! These two characters are so broken and flawed, but perfect for each other. When you have two broken people and put them together, you can make a beautiful masterpiece, that is this story. The feels in this story gave me tingles all over and the angst is off the charts. This is my favorite book by Ava Harrison so far, she has outdone herself with this phenomenal story. Do yourself a favor and 1-click this book.
