The menacing woods of Grizzly Falls, Montana, are not for the faint of heart. But for some, they’re the perfect setting for partying and pranks. They don’t know there’s a rapt audience amid the tangled trees, a killer with a different kind of game in mind, for whom the woods are dark and deep—and perfectly deadly… chance. Grizzly Falls is different. Here, killers aren’t just the stuff of legends and campfire lore. Someone is in the nighttime shadows, watching the local teens play around in the moonlit woods. Waiting for the right moment, the right victim. Waiting to take away a life.
Detective Regan Pescoli is counting the days until her maternity leave. Exhausted and emotional, the last thing she needs is another suspected serial killer. Especially when her daughter, Bianca, is swept up in the media storm. When a reality show arrives in town, the chaos only makes it harder for Pescoli and her partner, Selena Alvarez, to distinguish rumor from truth.
Another body is found…and another. And as the nightmare strikes closer to home, Pescoli races to find the terror lingering in the darkness, where there are too many places to hide…and countless places to die…

Very Book
One of my favourite authors
This is the 7th book in the series. This one takes place in summer. Detective Regan Pescoli’s daughter is playing a hide and seek game with some friends by the woods when she gets separated from the group. As she’s trying to find her way back to them, she realizes she’s being chased by someone and stumbles down a hill into a creek bed where she finds a body of a woman. She thought she was being chased by a tall, two-legged smelly creature (Sasquatch) which brings a reality TV show producer to the town to get her story. Meanwhile, Detectives Pescoli and Alvarex are trying to find out who the girl in the creek is and how/why she was murdered. Then, another young woman is killed.
I’ve read her entire to die series with Pescoli and Alvarez. Plus several others of hers all have been enjoyable. Keep you wondering until the very end.
loved this book….you don’t want to put it down !!!
i really enjoyed the way the author wrote about small town living, teens, divorce, remarriage & baby after 35. I had a hard time putting this one down & was really surprised at the ending.
Lisa Jackson is in a league of her own!! Absolutely brilliant author and I don’t give 5 star reviews just because. I have every book she’s published and these stories will keep you up all night!!! When I start one of her series, I don’t sleep at all!!! Get the Kueurig ready for long nights!!!!
I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway.
A group of teenagers meet in the woods at night and Bianca Pescoli gets separated from her friends and is chased through the woods by a bigfoot till she reaches the creek and literally stumbles over a dead body. Her mother, Detective Regan Pescoli doubts that it was Bigfoot who chased her but the local enthusiasts beg to differ, so while Dectective Pescoli, at 35 weeks pregnant, is busy investigating the death of Destiny. Bianca is starting her reality tv career by re-enacting her flight through the woods.
Seemed to go slower than real time. Too many characters and too much detail to keep my attention. It was good for listening to in the car because you could zone out and have conversations and not miss any of the plot — the book just keep droning on telling a story that even brought in sasquatches.
Like this author and she didn’t disappoint me on this book.
A Lisa Jackson thriller as only she can do!!
I really enjoyed this book. Looked for more by Lisa Jackson.
I have all her books. All good.
Very good book
I enjoyed the book, however there was a lot of unnecessary fluff to fill the pages.
I love the Regan/Pescoli books and will buy the next one in the series. This story line was original and entertaining. However, I was perplexed with the repetitive descriptions of what the characters were eating.
Lisa Jackson holds my attention from the first page to the last!
Very good read, easy to follow the story, nail biter. Good writing.
Not good
Ok but not particularly strong.
