Searc Macleod is an immortal vampire special operative with Paranormal Security and Intelligence’s “Fang Gang.” He’s fought for the side of good for nearly a century. But it turns out; his past is never far behind him. When his sire summons him, demanding Searc protect the master vampire’s only daughter–a woman Searc has lusted after since she became of age–he knows things can only end badly. … badly. He can barely resist the temptation of Jessie Buchanan as it is. Finding out she’s been subjected to testing at the hands of madmen, sets his demon on edge, and ignites his hunger for her. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect her and the precious cargo she’s carrying.

I don’t know why, but of all the I-Ops books, the fang gang ones are my favorite. It could be because the author manages to take these ancient men, who are often stuck in the ways of the past, and gives them these hilarious personalities and causes them to have fun at their own expense. Regardless, the author has continued the action and adventure with this book, which is so full of research and humor. It’s obvious that the author put a lot of time and effort into creating this amazing book and the awesome HEA. I am looking forward to the next book by this author.
This it the second book in the Crimpson Ops Series. I love Searc and Jessie. They share an amazing chemistry. The story is fun, intriguing, action packed, suspenseful, and steamy! D.C. Cole did an amazing job with the narration. I love his voice!
This book runs parallel with the first book in this series, Midnight Echoes so I would recommend you listen to that one as well. I am really enjoying this group of paranormal characters. They have such a great connection with each other and will do anything that is needed for anyone in this group. This couple was super fun to listen to as well. The struggle to find your mate and yet try to hide it is huge, but we finally get there in the end. I am excited to see what comes next with this group.
Narration was amazing!
How could you go wrong with this book. Thank you Mandy Roth.
Our heroine and hero have been linked from the moment she arrived on her father’s doorstep. When she wakes up in a panic it’s him she wants near. The author has given us another nail biter and added some good humor too. The comradery between the PSI team and the IOps members is great fun. This book tells the other half of the story started in book 1.
I loved this! It was so hard to put down! I laughed most the way though it!
Enjoyed reading this book, it has a great storyline. Can’t wait for more from this author.
Betrayal, deceit and love well portrayed.
Good entertaining read and I loved the antics of everyone. The carry on between Searc and Jessie’s father Cormag (who is also Searc’s maker) was entertaining.
Interesting that it crosses over with Midnight Echoes in a small way.
The Corporation are getting bolding in their actions but the women seem to be getting stronger powers too.
Felt sorry for Searc and Jessie in that they have a special moment stolen from them and are a bit blindsided by events.
Loved all the interaction with the others from different groups but I found it strange that Boomer was in this so much without his mate by his side.
Would love to see Cormag get a mate.
I am reading these in Universe order through Kindle Unlimited.
When Searc wakes up with the intense feeling that his sire’s daughter is in trouble, he can’t shake the feeling. He’s thought about nothing but her since she was 18 years old.
Jessie is missing two things, chunks of her memory and Searc. Now, she’s suddenly gaining weight and her father smells Searc on her, he’s not pleased.
Something in the past that was beyond both of their control, draws them together. Betrayal from a close sources has Searc fighting for his new family.
Great characters, action, steamy scenes and laughs aplenty in this great story.
. .
I love this book. Didnt want to put it down. I like that even when they tried to make it so Jessie didnt remember she did. Her preservation kicked in and she was scared of Islay even though she couldn’t remember. I love how protective her and Searc were of each other.
