I had room in my life for exactly one person. Myself. Until she said those two words no confirmed bachelor ever wanted to hear. I’m pregnant.GrayWhen I moved to Ireland, I was looking for the adventure of a lifetime. But six weeks after my first-ever one-night-stand, I’m alone, pregnant, and cursing that adventurous spirit.I’m determined to make a go of it and I’ve enlisted my only friend to help … only friend to help me find a doctor — and wouldn’t you know? The nameless one-night stand I hooked up with has an actual MD behind his name and appears to be allergic to relationships.
Aiden
I’m a doctor and I’ve seen what can happen to a couple who have a baby they’re not ready for. It’s what’s made me Dublin’s biggest advocate for bachelorhood.
That is until the one-night-stand I couldn’t forget about walked into my waiting room and brought down my carefully constructed house of cards.
Can I put aside my fears of falling in love and let Gray into my heart or will her need to do this alone tear us apart?

What starts as a one night stand takes Aiden and Gray on an unexpected relationship journey.
Gray is an introvert. She rarely goes out and she does not do one night stands. When she finds herself pregnant after a crazy night at the pub, she decides to tackle pregnancy and motherhood on her own . . . with finding a doctor as priority number one. The last thing she ever expected was to walk into her appointment to discover that her one night stand was also her doctor.
Aiden is a bit of a playboy, who loves women, but does not love commitment. He’s always careful with his conquests, and never expected to be a father. When Gray walks into his exam room, he is floored. So floored, in fact, that he acts quite the jerk, offending Gray enough that she is willing to walk away forever.
Deciding that he should do the right thing, Aiden tracks Gray down to offer his support through her pregnancy and then into parenthood. What follows is a beautiful story of pregnancy hormones, unexplained emotions, wrong steps, asking for forgiveness, and learning to trust and love.
Holly Mortimer did an amazing job of showing that pregnancy and falling in love is not always glamorous and that it is can be difficult and sometimes even painful. Both Gray and Aiden have very different personalities, and both are very stubborn. They are forced to learn to compromise with one another to make any sort of relationship work, as friends or more, for the sake of their baby. Add in a high-risk pregnancy, and both must learn to navigate the many pit falls put into the path of their budding relationship.
I love that this book showed that pregnancy and love are not easy. Emotions for both parents are all over the place. This book felt very real, and I appreciated that. It is a well written story of two people who find themselves in unexpected circumstances that need to determine how to make it work for them.
4 stars and the wish that I could hang out at the pub with the Murphy clan!
I enjoyed the story but it had a lot of BAD language. It would have been a Great story without all of that!
Couldn’t finish… couldn’t stand the awfulness of the main character. What a horrible b-buster. Too much of I want him , I don’t want him and let’s make him pay for the predicament I’m in, though I was the other half having a one-night “stand” standing up against a brick wall outside. Yuck!!!!!!!.
Great chick lit.
Being nerdy does not make you undesirable.
Enjoyable
A one night stand turned two peoples lives into a family of three. This is a beautifully written story that you need a few tissues for.

Started out not liking the H very much, but by the end, he had redeemed himself, the h needed to grow up a little.
Enjoyable, but needs some editing.
Good Read.
A good read. Interesting characters you could enjoy and want to see how they worked out there likes, dislikes and differences. Some surprises and just a good feeling read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!!!!! The heroine was quite different in her opinions about life and although I enjoyed her point of view, I really enjoyed the man’s point of view concerning this book.
Awesome read!
Good book, took off fast and kept going. Not a dull moment!!! I really enjoyed reading this book and enjoyed the author. I look forward to reading more!!!
Beginning pages were a little sexist and not reflecting current ethics, but the story line got better after a chapter. Definitely held my interest.
I didn’t like the terrible language ‘
The main characters were well developed and lovable! I will definitely read this author again.
