I started reading the story and was really enjoying it. Girl by chance meets someone, who happens to be related to your ex. But something happened I went from chapter 12 to chapter 20. The weird thing is it worked even missing those chapters.
When I tried to go back and read them I just could not get back into as before. Otherwise it was a enjoyable read.

Oookay, so you date this hot guy, and (oopsie) get pregnant. Not the end, right? Then, umm, there’s that little discovery that he’s the freakin’ dad of your Ex. Ouch is an understatement. A great concept for a book, however, and Katy Kaylee runs with it to end up with a pretty fantastic book in Ex-Boyfriend’s Dad (The Irresistible Daddies Book 3). Well written, with a great plot, and a perfect cast. Also totally fun. Exactly what I look for and easily worth five stars

Okay, so I liked this book to a point… I do like these stories where the ex-girlfriend falls for the exboyfriend’s dad. But this one was a little different, and I wouldn’t say I liked the way Katy took the story differently.
So first off, Christina and Nathan seemed to be good characters. However, I wasn’t quite sure what was going on with Nathan when it comes to the bedroom. Either you are arent into what he was into. He gave me whiplash. And with Christina being a virgin, he should have been a little more one way or the other. There wasn’t any communication between them when it came to that.
Then you have Macon, which I get at first, but then he shows up in the middle of the book, and he changes the way that Nathan and Christina act towards each other. I wouldn’t say I liked that.
So overall, not a book I would read if I didn’t have to.

Meh read for me
I was not really impressed by Ex Boyfriend’s Dad while I was reading it. It just did not gel with me and I found the story to be disjointed and appeared to be added in just for drama that did not fit with the story-line. I ended up skimming a lot of the book in order to get to the ending which appeared to be rushed.
So for me this story was not my favorite by Katy Kaylee book. But I am hoping that the next in the series will be better.

Ex-Boyfriend’s Dad by Katy Kaylee is the third book in the Irresistible Daddies series. In the beginning of this book, Christina is living with her boyfriend Macon. However, she soon begins to realize that he is not the type of man-child that she wants to put up with for the rest of her life. They break up and he leaves while she continues on her own. One day she decides to go on a dating App and by chance meets an older handsome man that she falls for before she realizes he is her ex-boyfriends father. This story is sweet and special with realistically real life characters who have to deal with real life problems. This is a wonderful contemporary romance that anyone who likes this genre will love. Ex-Boyfriend’s Dad is a sweet contemporary romance.

A confusing mess of wishy washy characters, senseless plots and inner ramblings of confused individuals. There was not a main focus on anything. A little of everything was thrown in here from being gay, an undercover dominant, murder and a near rape. Nathan and Christina did not make a good couple and he was too old not to have known his behavior was abhorrent. Christina couldn’t make up her mind of the kind of person she actually was and the person she wanted everyone to see. There was no love felt between any of these people to warrant caring of a good outcome. Not a very enjoyable read for me.

I usually love all of Katy Kaylee’s stories, but I had a little problem with this one.
The storyline was good.
There were a couple of scenes that were either not believable, too long or wrong info.

This is my opinion . The story was sad through out and emotional . Christina and her boyfriend struggled with their relationship ,he seemed very immature and lazy he also had a big secret . She finally broke up with him . She goes online to a dating site . Christina while going to restaurant for a date meets Nathan soon they are talking and begin a relationship . This story is not my favorite of the author . There was alot of issues
the characters had and hopefully the editing catches the mistakes all and all an ok story .

There were a lot of parts that I liked about this story. Christina had a positive attitude and had a sweet cheery disposition despite being dumped by Macon, who she thought was the love of her life. Running off with him after graduating college to live in a trailer park wasn’t her idea of a dream life, but she was willing to settle because of her love for Macon. I liked the way she didn’t wallow or whine after he left her, but made positive steps in her life.
I thought the way she met and connected with Nathan was sweet. He seemed like a great match for her even though the reader immediately knew that he was Macon’s divorced/widowed father.
Spoilers ahead: I couldn’t understand how the initial sweet and sexy Nathan turned into a creepy BDSM guy who immediately coerced her into relations even after she confessed she was a virgin. Then the whole room full of BDSM paraphernalia didn’t seem to match with his initial POV of looking for a woman to live and settle down with. The way their first intimate scene played out had a definite ick factor. I guess if he slowly introduced her to it all, it would have matched with his earlier persona. This was the second date, where their first date ended with a sweet kiss to the cheek.
It was hard to believe the scene was sensual as it seemed scripted and a bit odd. The scene escalated from the whole daddy/kitty thing and got even more bizarre when he started to use his paraphernalia and masks, etc. That first scene just went on and on with Christina being initiated into a LOT, and allowing Nathan complete control, enjoying every bit of it even though she was such an innocent. It was hard to read.
I’ve read and enjoyed other books from this author but this one was just not for me.

I tried to like this book. Between the misspelled words and confusing sentiments, I found it hard to finish the story to leave the review. At the beginning of the story, Christina is in an upscale restaurant waiting on a date. She looking around at the rich guys and thinks basically she needs someone rich and successful like those guys to take care of her. Seriously?!? I’m suppose to like this character after that sentiment. Later after she runs from Nathan, she says “If he came back to me…” like Nathan was the one that left her. She acts so contrary. She had no money to pay bills but takes an Uber everywhere. She says she’s afraid of his “controlling nature” and her didn’t something to break trust with him, but is more than happy to let me dominate her in bed and he was the person she called after she got assaulted. These things don’t add up. I hate to rate look, but the inconsistencies are too much.
