Body of Evidence
And she thought facing a firing squad was bad…
When archaeologist Mara Garrett traveled to North Korea to retrieve the remains of GIs lost in combat, she never imagined she’d be arrested, convicted of spying, and sentenced to death. Her only hope is Curt Dominick, a powerful and ambitious US attorney who has his own reasons for wanting Mara back on US soil.
What starts off as a rescue mission morphs into a race across the Pacific. Someone is after Mara, and they’ll risk everything to stop her from reaching Washington, DC. Still, desire clashes with loyalty when they uncover a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of government.
Withholding Evidence
Some secrets are worth dying for…
Military historian Trina Sorensen has a nearly impossible task before her: get recalcitrant but tempting former Navy SEAL Keith Hatcher to reveal what happened during a top secret Somalia op five years ago. Recent history isn’t usually her forte, but the navy wants an historian’s perspective and has given her the high security clearance to get the job done.
Keith isn’t just refusing to tell Trina about the op, he’s protecting a national secret that could destroy the lives of those he cares about the most. But not wanting to talk about a covert mission doesn’t mean he isn’t interested in spending time with the sexy historian, and the first time they kiss it’s explosive. When the past comes pounding on Keith’s door, he’ll do anything to keep Trina safe… Anything, that is, except tell her the secret that could get them both killed.

Great books!
I know it’s a good book when I gasp out loud during a plot twist.
Good stories that keep you interested. I am not a prude but the sexual encounters get in the way of the overall action of the stories.
I enjoyed reading this series. The plots were well thought out and interesting.
I started with Concrete Evidence in 2014, and I really liked it. But in January, Rachel offered a box set of the first 3 books free and I couldn’t put them down. I immediately bought all the remaining books in the series!! I’m now in chapter 12 of Poison Evidence and it’s bittersweet because I can’t figure out how a HEA is possible, but I know it will come, and I am also really sad that this is the final book in the series. This is a series worth having. I know I’ll be binging again in the future. I’m HOOKED!
Rachel Grant
Evidence Series books 1-5
1. Concrete Evidence
5 Stars
I purchased a copy of the full-length suspense novel Concrete Evidence {Evidence Series book 1} by Rachel Grant and this review was given freely.
Intrigue, danger, murders, lies, and a hint of steam are found in the pages of this action packed then and now story.
Former underwater Archeologist Erica Kesling joins the engineering firm of Talon & Drake hoping for redemption and revenge only to find herself the victim of brutal attacks, oddly attracted to her inquisitive intern Lee Scott, and unwittingly embroiled in a 1952 cold case murder that points to present day 2011 political scandal and international smuggling.
18+ for violence
2. Body of Evidence
4 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Washington DC post military based novel Body of Evidence {Evidence Series book 2} by Rachel Grant and this review was given freely.
Containing a touch of irony, this is a gripping story of US corruption, greed, betrayal, and biological warfare with links to 1953 US Military and 2011 North Korea. The plot contains multiple murders and near misses as well as some steam.
On the day of her execution by the North Korean Government, wrongly accused US forensic archaeologist Mara Garrett, finds herself rescued by District Attorney Curt Dominick, who is prosecuting her former vice president uncle, and running for her life.
Can be read as a standalone but is best read in series order as it builds upon relationships made in prior series books.
18+ for violence and very lengthy intimate scenes.
3. Withholding Evidence
4 Stars
I purchased a copy of the Washington DC post military based novel Withholding Evidence {Evidence Series book 3} by Rachel Grant and this review was given freely.
Steamy from the start. Action packed with a fair amount of violence. This sequel includes all the couples from the prior sequels as they try to help military historian Trina Sorensen not only with her budding but rocky relationship with former Navy SEAL snipper Keith Hatcher but also protect her from one disaster after another as someone tries to uncover the facts of a secret Somalia op five years ago.
Can be read as a standalone but is best read in series order as it builds upon relationships made in prior series books.
18+ for violence and very lengthy intimate scenes. Contains the dark subjects of anti US government activists, workplace prejudice, sexism, and drug addiction after injury.
4. Night Owl: Evidence book 4
4 Stars
I received a free copy of the romantic suspense Night Owl by Rachel Grant in the multi- author collection Danger and Desire as well as purchasing it in the Evidence boxset series books 1-4.
This is a complex love finally realized novel containing action, drama, violence, and some steamy scenes.
Tamarack, Alaska bartender/photographer Jenna O’Donnell wants only three things: to live in Tamarack, Alaska for the rest of her life; for Ted Godfrey to fall into a glacial crevasse; and Brad Fraser.
Raptor’s Elite Falcon Team Leader and former Green Beret, Brad Fraser wants only three things: to leave Tamarack, Alaska and never return; for his coworker, Ted Godfrey, to be fired; and to never, ever fall in love. But Brad tempts fate when he takes Jenna out for a night of owl watching, and once he spends time alone with her, his carefully planned escape from both the frigid north and the fiery Jenna is no longer simple.
Intertwined is archaeologist Isabel’s quest to solve her brother’s mysterious death and the suspicious happenings on the base.
18+ for violence and many lengthy intimate scenes.
5. Incriminating Evidence
3 Stars
I received a free copy of the paramilitary Alaska to Maryland based novel Incriminating Evidence {Evidence Series book 5} by Rachel Grant and this review was given freely.
This is an intense, steamy, action packed and at times vividly violent continuation of the Night Owl saga which returns to the archaeologist, government figure, paramilitary theme, and ends with a happy update on the Maryland couples.
A touch of irony and sections of education are interspersed in the story of archaeological surveyor, Isabel’s dangerous search for the truth behind her brother Vincent’s sudden death, her strong attraction to Raptor CEO, former Army Ranger, and Senator hopeful Alec Ravissant; a violent greed plot; and a Government Cover up.
18+ for heavy violence and many lengthy intimate scenes.
I loved all three books. I have enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing how they intersect in the other ones. Warning! Do not start reading until you have nothing going on! You will not want to put the books down!!! I may have had a few nights of not enough sleep because I kept telling myself just one more chapter….I have found my new favorite author!
I could not put these books down. I will be watching for more of these.
Great story, characters, plot and pages flew by.
I could not put this box set down! I was hooked from the very first page!
Page Turner. Didn’t want yo.put them down.
I really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to read books 4-6!
Finished Concrete & Body last year and enjoyed them both. Author certainly knows her marine biology and artifacts. I get annoyed when there are many glitches – poorly proofread and poor use of grammar.
Enjoyed this author. Very original plot lines.
This was a great series filled with smart, brave women.
Enjoyed the 3-book series.
Enjoyed very much
I own these books individually. They make good reading. This is an author I look for.
Loved them all. Would defiantly read again.
Anything she writes, I will read and thoroughly enjoy.
