Kimberly Simmons is gorgeous, brilliant, and way out of my league. She’s definitely not the type to fall for a guy who walked away from his family’s fortune to become an architect. Good thing, too, because she works for Wolfe Industries, making her completely off-limits. Nailing this pitch to Wolfe’s CEO is exactly what I need to make my bosses forget about the last time I mixed business with … pleasure. Too bad she has the most beautiful brown eyes and dazzling smile I’ve ever seen. Too bad I can’t stop staring.
Adam Price is a talented rising star architect at Will and Peking Designs. His newest design submission for The Wolfe Industries Caribbean Expansion is set to dazzle my CEO. If Adam’s design wins, with my help, I could get promoted, which means his big strong arms and gorgeous lips are strictly forbidden. It’s a good thing, too, because he has a reputation for leaving a trail of broken hearts all over Manhattan and I’m pretty sure I couldn’t survive a second heartbreak. Too bad every word he says makes me smile. Too bad he gives me a sense of calm I haven’t felt in a long time.
Keeping their relationship strictly professional for the sake of their jobs was the perfect excuse to stay away from each other. Too bad fate and undeniable chemistry have other plans…
This standalone, workplace/forced proximity romance features characters from the previous novellas Everything’s Better With You and Cherishing the Goddess, is full of alphas and steam, and has NO cheating.

This is a sweet and sexy read at the same time. The relationship between the two characters is charming, and though the relationship developed super fast, the author managed to show that the relationship as wholesome and not just based on passion alone. There is a lot of passion between the two characters, and I could feel the heat coming off my Kindle, but I also found both Kimberly and Adam to be real people with their strengths and flaws–not just hormones. Of course, they are both gorgeous, smart and rich (one way or another), but they also have their issues and struggles–Kimberly with her anxiety disorder and Adam with his mommy issue. I appreciate the imperfections in their characters. I truly enjoyed reading their love story.
I also like that the author subtly worked into the story certain important issues such as racism, double-standard for women in the workplace, while also providing a detailed insight into anxiety disorder in this relatively easy reading. I enjoy learning facts while reading a fictional book and I appreciate the details that this author put into her book (from song lists, African-American hair care, to a little history of Harlem).
I enjoyed this book so much that I will start reading her earlier book on Adam’s brother next.
What a great read from Lucy Eden!!
As soon as I heard the synopsis, I knew that I was going to enjoy it. What I didn’t expect, was just how hard I would love it. Everything from the beautiful character development of Kimberly and Adam, to the fast paced sexy, steamy and beautiful moments were written with such care and detail.
I completely fell in love with Kimberly. She was such a strong woman. She knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to go after it. She can be quiet and reserved, yet, still being outspoken, opinionated and “heard” by those around her. She is passionate about her work, as well as things she cares about and holds close to her.
Adam was such an intriguing male lead. Yes, he can be your stereotypical male; however, he is also so much more. He works hard, and makes sure that he always gives a 100% to every project and design he works on. Just like Kimberly, he will do whatever it takes to make sure that he is “heard,” and that he gets a say in what goes on.
When these two characters come together, fireworks go off. Working with someone you like is never a good idea, yet for these two, nothing could have been better. Yes, they each had their own opinions, however, even if they were different from their own, they were able to hear each other out, and try to understand their position and idea.
Throughout the novel, I loved the way Lucy was able to develop these characters. I felt as though I truly got to know them on a deeper rather than a surface level. In order to achieve this, Lucy wrote a beautifully crafted plot line, that kept me hanging on to every last word.
Everything’s Better With Kimberly was the first book I have read by Lucy, however, it certainly won’t be the last. I enjoyed every single detail of Lucy’s writing.
4/5 Stars!
When you have something to gain, what are you willing to lose? Kimberly and Adam are on their way to the top. All they have to do is convince themselves to be something that their not. In the world of business the heart tends to get lost. Lucy Eden gives something to think about with smartly written characters and emotional storytelling.
This was my first book by Lucy Eden but after reading everything’s better with Kimberley I will definitely be checking out more of her books. This book was a fun read for me. The story of the against the rules office romance made for some interesting drama for sure. I really enjoyed the characters and was hooked from the start wondering how things would play out for these two.
Kimberly is not looking for any kind of relationship. She is a hard worker, a planner and doesn’t like to step out of the box. Adam is trying to get his reputation back on track after being know more for his past relationships than he would like. The two are definitely opposites, but exactly what the other needs.
Full of romance, drama and some steamy moments this book covers it all.
A must read for sure!- By Alisa

Who does not like an office romance? Everything’s Better with Kimberly by Lucy Eden is another good book to add to that trope. You will be hooked from start to finish yelling at the characters because they love to p**s you off.
Kimberly is focused on work and never makes time to “play”, so to speak. After one bad relationship, she has sworn off men completely. As for Adam, he is trying to get back on track after being subject of many office affairs. These two could not be more wrong for each other but yet so right.
When you have two characters that are so great together, it is amazing. Everything’s Better with Kimberly is filled with drama, angst, romance, fluff, steamy sex and so much more. Lucy Eden nailed her characters down. At first, I was not a fan of Kimberly or Adam but as the book progressed I started to warm up to the two. You really see inside their heads and understand why they are the way they are.
I will definitely be reading more of Lucy’s books in the future.
EVERYTHING’S BETTER WITH KIMBERLY

This was such a sweet read with the right amount of steam. Kimberly Simmons is a jr. project manager trying to prove her worth who suffers from anxiety and Adam Price is an architect trying to escape his past reputation. The two meet on the plane initially not knowing that they would be working together. One thing leads to another and the two hookup with the plans of just that. A work hookup until they return to their regular lives.
“…I love everything about you, including and especially your anxiety.”
The characters were great. I loved how strong and independent Kimberly is and everything about Adam was .
“I love you, Kimberly. You would never have to ask me to put you first. I wouldn’t have a choice”
This book had me laughing out loud. Kimberly’s ain’t and mom were hilarious. I loved her family dynamic and Adam’s relationship with his brother was cute. The FaceTime scenes were a great insight to how much family means to the two.
“It was like love snuck up on me.”
If you are looking for a sweet, feel good, sexy, dicknotized type of read I suggest you 1-click this by Lucy!
This was such a sweet story. It had steam but it was also sweet my teeth aches. Seeing such a strong character deal with her anxiety was very relatable to me. The author did very well at getting all the feelings down. I loved Adams issues too. His were more glossed over but I didn’t feel like that too a whole lot away from the overall story.
All the secondary characters were also awesome. I know that at least one of the couples has a book and plan to check out more of this authors books. I can’t wait to see what comes next. I did feel like some things were really rushed in this story. I won’t go into detail but I was hoping that certain things were faded into the background so that the relationship could take the spotlight. Even with that, I’m excited to read some of this authors other books. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Absolutely loved this book. I thought I loved the first book in the series, Everything is Better with Lisa but I didn’t know Kimberly and Adam were coming my way. Kimberly was wonderful but her anxiety disorder was almost to much but Adam was dam near perfect. I loved loved loved him. Not only was he sexy as sin he was a sweet heart with how much patience he had with Kimberly and her overreacting to EVERYTHING! The romance, laughter, and sexy times were so entertaining. I’m going to search and read everything I can find from this author because I have stumbled across a gem. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Wow, what a great story. It is nice to see Adam and learn more about him. This had everything from drama to romance to love.
I loved Cole and Kimberley together, they may have started as something short but you could tell they was going to be together longer.
Who knew a plane ride could bring so much love?
I highly recommend this book and series.
Everything’s Better With Kimberly is book Two in the Everything’s Better Series. This is the story of Adam Price and Kimberly Simmons. I have read the previous book which added to my enjoyment of this one but I do feel it can be a standalone book if you wish to do so. I enjoyed reading their story. Adam was leaning in to the man whore type but settled down when he laid eyes on Kimberly. Kimberly is all business but the draw between the two makes them a hot read.
Enjoyed their story.
