An Amazon Charts and Wall Street Journal bestseller.A luminous debut with unexpected twists, Everything We Keep explores the devastation of loss, the euphoria of finding love again, and the pulse-racing repercussions of discovering the truth about the ones we hold dear and the lengths they will go to protect us.Sous chef Aimee Tierney has the perfect recipe for the perfect life: marry her … for the perfect life: marry her childhood sweetheart, raise a family, and buy out her parents’ restaurant. But when her fiancé, James Donato, vanishes in a boating accident, her well-baked future is swept out to sea. Instead of walking down the aisle on their wedding day, Aimee is at James’s funeral—a funeral that leaves her more unsettled than at peace.
As Aimee struggles to reconstruct her life, she delves deeper into James’s disappearance. What she uncovers is an ocean of secrets that make her question everything about the life they built together. And just below the surface is a truth that may set Aimee free…or shatter her forever.

Amazing! Characters draw you in to the story. Didn’t know if I was rooting for Ian or James!
I enjoyed this series.
I found the premise of this book fascinating – is her fiancé dead or not? And so I stuck this one out to find the answers, but other than the intrigue surround this BIG question, I found this book rather dull and lack luster. It was just a step up from a bodice-ripping steamy romp, which I loathe. I know they call books like this “romance” but this is NOT my idea of romance.
loved the trilogy
It’s an emotional ride you won’t regret going on. Aimee is such an endearing character you can’t help but fall in love with her! Rather you cry when she hurts, gasp in shock or cheer when she succeeds! It’s hard to believe this is the author’s first book! This is an amazing well written story that was really different and had so many twists! With an ending that will leave you begging for more!
Easy read, good story, ending was a good twist
I thought it was very interesting and touching. It really makes you think.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very different and while the lead character got annoying, I was very happy with how the book ended. Especially as all storylines were tied up at the end. It took me a day to read this as I got completely wrapped up in everything.
This was a page turner and the ending was unpredictable. I read the sequel and it was hard to follow however I did enjoy it. There are three novels in the Everything series but not sure about getting the third one. I really enjoyed this author.
I was unable to put this book down. It kept me guessing until the very end. I loved the ending!
Couldn’t put this book down.
A story of loss, grieving and learning to let go. Lots of family secrets! I look forward to reading the 2nd book in this series.
This book will break your heart! But you won’t be able to stop reading! It’s So, So good! I’m really glad that I have the whole series because I wouldn’t have wanted to have to wait for the next one! Imagine loving someone for most of your life and then losing that person! My heart felt every emotion that Aimee felt! Read this book! But make sure you buy the whole set, you won’t want to wait either!
This was a great book, it sure kept you guessing until the end.
I enjoyed watching the main female character grow into her own strong woman.
That did not need a man but chose to be with one.
The book reads quickly. Hard to put in downauthor is Kerry Lonsdale.
Kerry writes unlike an author I’ve ever read. I was hooked! You will be too!
SUPER INTENSE!
Everything We Give, Book 3 in the Everything Series is super intense! This book may be read as a stand-alone but it really needs to be read in chronological order as part of the series to fully understand its significance its significance. This is Ian’s story and what a story it is! Lonsdale takes you on a journey starting with his childhood to the present and her vivid descriptions have you feeling as though you are a silent witness to it all. It isn’t an easy story but it certainly is the one that puts the entire series in perspective. When you read the last sentence, you will find yourself sitting and reflecting a few moments on this whole journey. It’s one of those “WOW!” moments! This story is overrun with such deep, emotional meaning that it will leave you thinking about your own family and relationships and how much we often take our normal lives for granted. I was provided an ARC of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence. I have preordered a copy of this book for my own personal collection.
Aimiee’s fiancé, James, dies in an accident just weeks before their wedding… but what if he’s only missing, not dead?
This book was a little slow in the middle as the character tries to move on from the tragedy, but overall, it was pretty good at making me want to turn the pages as quickly as possible (ummmm, obviously, since I tore through it in less than 2 days haha). This was a story about love, secrets, protecting the ones you love, finding oneself, grief, healing, letting go, and forgiveness. I was shocked by the twist at the end and can’t wait for the sequel, Everything We Left Behind. This was a wonderful debut novel, and I will be recommending it to friends!
I received an advance copy of this book! All opinions are my own.
(spoilers included)
I usually don’t read reviews until after I read a book. I don’t like spoilers and I don’t like to be influenced before reading something. That being said, I’m so glad I kept to that practice. This book is an investment in time. It does start out a little slow. It did take me a while to grow emotionally attached to the main characters. However, once I made the investment, once I put some thought into Aimee’s position, I became totally invested.
Spending most of your life with someone and then to lose them this way would destroy the strongest person. But then to ultimately lose them again…
Did I think Aimee became a little whiny through her grief? Maybe a little. Realistically, though, I don’t know that I would be any different. Loving someone for that long and then to let them go so quickly, that’s not realistic. Moving on isn’t easy and that’s real life, not fiction. I get it. I got it and that’s why when the book slowed, I kept reading. I slowly became very attached to these characters.
Probably after the second half, I became so engrossed in the story, I couldn’t put the book down. I couldn’t decide, team James/Carlos or team Ian. Seriously, how can you walk away when you know the love of your life is trapped inside the mind of someone entirely different. I can see why Aimee felt it was her responsibility to stay and help him fix it…and then for her to realize there was nothing to fix. He was happy. He was living the life he always dreamed of, only he was living it without her. It’s a harsh reality that I wouldn’t want to live with. I love how Aimee’s motivation shifted at that point and she changed. She realized she could only do one thing and that was to move on.
I know this review seems a little disjointed but I’m trying not to spoil too much and I’m still reeling from the epilogue.
It’s an excellent read! Seriously, make the investment, you won’t regret it. I can’t wait to start the next book.
Kerry Lonsdale’s debut novel is a riveting story of a woman who loses her fiancé just weeks before their wedding, and how she struggles to go on with her life, uncovering mysteries and family secrets along the way. Aimee has known James, her fiancé, since she was a young girl, and they had big dreams: as a chef, she would take over her family’s restaurant, and he would leave his family’s business and become an artist. But after a tragic accident during a business trip in Mexico, their wedding day instead becomes the day of James’ funeral. Distraught, Aimee is approached by a psychic who tells her that James did not die. Despite the fact that Aimee’s life seems to be back on track, even with a potential new love interest, she can’t seem to let James go, unearthing the truth about James, his family, and even herself. This book is full of unexpected twists and turns which will leave the reader in suspense until the very end.
