So obviously this is book 2 in a series, you need to read book 1 to fully understand what’s happening. Lily and Alife just can’t seem to get over each other. Lily is trying to move on. She’s in a band now and has a boyfriend. Everything should be good for her, but something is missing. When she finally figures it out another problem gets in the way. On to book 3 to see how this will turn out.
Alfie and Lily have some tough times. When they are totally honest with each other, things get better, for a while. The emotions each are feeling jump off the page. This was a difficult story to put down.
Wow! It’s really heating up in Alfie and Lily’s story, there’s so many twists to this story I’m not sure what’s going to happen next. I keep hoping for the happy ever after, but when I get there, if there is one I’ll be disappointed that my read is over.
I’m enjoying this story so much.
So much has happened I wish I could share with all of you but…… it’s definitely heating up, it’s good, it’s bad, it’s exciting, it’s so not over.
I totally love Jack that’s Lily’s best friend, we all need a Jack in our lives, God there’s so many awesome characters and no one that I really hate yet which is unusual for me, but this story is different from your love triangle plots which is great.
Music plays a big part in this story, I’m praying all the characters get there happy ending.
KL Shandwick you are a talented writer.
Thank you.
Alfie Is one rockstar i rock to.
Gosh will these characters ever be on the same page as each other, all the angst and pain they are inflicting is going back and forth like a tennis ball during a match. Having said that I’m glued to this series. All the emotions have me tied in knots, half the time I have a lump in my throat. The support characters are quite fun so its enough to lighten things up and give some relief from all the drama. This is fairly intense through most of the book so you do need the lighter moments. The twists and turns keep this from getting comfortable or staid. Great reading, compulsive and addicting.
Another brilliant book by K L Shandwick.
A must read series, here I come book 3.
After deciding she needs time to figure everything out Lily heads home to the UK. Heading out to spend some time with her friends Lily thinks that she sees Alfie, but realises that’s impossible until she gets a call from her dad letting her know that an American friend called Alfie will be there to see her in the morning.
Lily decides that she needs to listen to what Alfie needs to say or she will be always wondering what if, but she knows he also needs to realise how much he hurt her. Lily and Will’s friendship has never been the same since the one night they both regretted, and Jack is her one constant friend though out and realises that she does need to know what if.
Lily and Alfie have an amazing chemistry, but everything seems to be fighting against them, even after Alfie tells her everything. Circumstances have Lily misreading things that she has seen and Alfie always explaining himself to her.
Lily becomes more confident when she gets a job singing with a band and her life is looking brighter with Alfie always in the back of her mind. Lily finally realises with the help of Jack that no matter how much she loves Alfie that she has to put herself first, and to do that she must let him go.
