Everything He Wants: Obedience by Jenna Fox is book One in Everything He Wants series. This is the story of Sloane Rothchild and Megan Walter.
Sloane owns Rothchild Investments and when he spots Megan he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Sloane forces himself to stay away from her to test himself that he truly wants her and isn’t a quick infatuation. When Sloan is satisfied that he is really wanting to pursue the attractions he moves to assign her as his new assistant and that they need to work out of the Florida office.
Megan is shocked at first that he is asking her to be his assistant and goes to make sure he knows that her qualifications don’t meet the job title.
Nevertheless, she goes forward with Sloane to be his assistant. Along the way she meets Sloane’s twin brother Cain. Cain too finds her attractive and goes to put himself out there too with her.
This is a short book that does end to set us up for the next installment in book two ‘Everything He Wants: Lies
Everything He Wants: Lies’.
This novella barely seems to get started before you are hit with a cliffhanger. A dark and twisty read that’s filled with steam, kink and intensity. I liked the chemistry between Megan and Sloane. A promising start that leaves you would plenty of questions that you want the answers to.
Ahh, who is Sloane Rothchild? Well you could say he is just another rich spoiled brat and you also say that he wants something that nobody else has and that is Megan!
But what Sloane doesn’t know is that his twin brother Cain also wants her for different reasons!
Will Sloane and Cain get what they want or will Megan turn her back on Sloane because of what his devious brother has to say about him?
Jenna Fox has a way with her words as she pulls you in and to the very end has you sitting on the edge of your seat! This book is emotionally charged!!
Can’t wait to read the next book in this duet!!
This author intrigued me right from the beginning. I know that a male is “talking” to me because of his label. A mystery is afoot – need to figure out who this mystery man is. It’s what grabs your attention since we always want to try and solve the mystery.
Megan Walters is just beginning her adult life – with all its ups and downs. Sloane Rothchild is a man who commands a woman’s attention. Then the author creates a character that may poke the beast. Those that believe in the Me Too movement may have a hard time reading what Megan’s going through. But remember that this is fictional so it’s alright to enjoy a little naughtiness now and then. And it’s not what this story is about.
The author does take the story away from that naughtiness and gets to the business at hand. She gets away from their “relationship” to what seems to drive Sloane. We get a peek at his family. This means don’t go into this expecting heat from beginning to end. And speaking of ending, don’t expect that either. In order to see if there’s an ending you’ll have to get book two. Especially if you want to know what happens with Sloane and Megan.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Sloane Rothchild is a billionaire bachelor who runs Rothchild Investments. He has had his eye on one of his employees to make her become his personal assistant but she must promise to be obedient at all costs.
Megan Walters works at Rothchild Investments and is shocked to discover that Mr. Rothchild not only knows her name but wants her to become his personal assistant for a job in Florida. But is Megan up for whatever Sloane requests her to do?
Megan and Sloane soon begin a relationship that is not clear cut and Megan wonders how Sloane truly feels about her. Soon Megan meets Cain, Sloane’s twin brother who has different ideas about where he wants the family business to go.
Can Megan and Sloane figure things out in time before everything is gone?
This was a great book with some twists and turns that I never saw coming.
I loved how naive Megan was with Sloane yet she also knew how good his proposition was and was willing to do whatever it took to complete her job. That being said at times she was worried about what was happening with Sloane and his drinking.
I liked Sloane but he was changing so much as the book went on and I was definitely worried about him. He seemed to change once he was around Cain and I knew how much Sloane cared about Megan but he was struggling to let her know.
Cain was interesting for sure as I did not like what he wanted to do with the business. I was also kind of surprised at how much he pursued Megan, knowing how Sloane felt about her. I’m not sure I trust him yet due to his business dealings.
The end was worrisome and I am definitely freaking out about what is happening since I know Megan hasn’t done anything wrong!
The very end left the reader with quite the cliff-hanger!!
