Risk everything . . . for love with this #1 New York Times bestseller. What if you couldn’t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face . . . or kiss the boy next door? In Everything, Everything, Maddy is a girl who’s literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door . . . and becomes the greatest risk she’s … . . and becomes the greatest risk she’s ever taken.
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.
Everything, Everything will make you laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It’s an innovative, inspiring, and heartbreakingly romantic debut novel that unfolds via vignettes, diary entries, illustrations, and more.
And don’t miss Nicola Yoon’s The Sun Is Also A Star, the #1 New York Times bestseller in which two teens are brought together just when it seems like the universe is sending them in opposite directions.

It was such an amazing book, I own this book and right when I got it I started reading it for weeks. I would finish the book in like 2 and a half days and it was great, it was such a funny, romantic, and book but it always got better and better on every page you turn.
This was one of the very first books I ever read. To this day, I have almost every page marked and highlighted with passages, words, and quotes that resonated with me. It’s beautifully written and on most nights I flip through my marked pages and smile. This book gave me so much hope and I love Maddy and Olly. If you’re looking for a love story that shouldn’t have happened, then this is the book for you!
If you believe in what you want everything I mean everything is possible
I LOVE IT
I liked this book because it was really heartwarming and it almost made me want to cry because a girl has a illness where she can not go outside or she will die and she risked her life for the boy next door. I recommend this book to teens who are looking for a love story and a Tearjerker.
I loved the little illustrations that happened almost every other page.
I really enjoyed Everything, Everything. I wish we could’ve seen a little more of the side characters, like Carla’s daughter or Olly’s sister, but still liked this book 🙂
Super sweet and touching!
Did not see what happens coming. Completely surprised.
Loved it
This book is literally soooo good! I couldn’t stop reading and very unpredictable! Recommend!!!
I loved it! It was a truly unique book, with diverse characters. The idea of falling in love, not by physical touch, but completely by personality, really brought an interesting spark. One thing I disliked about it was the twist. I won’t spoil it, but the twist kind of brought down the whole idea of the book. There were hints of insta-love as well, which I definitely don’t believe in. I think love should start out as an appreciation for personality, not looks. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who love a classic contemporary romance!
This is a beautiful love story with a small twist. If she leaves her house, will she live long enough to experience the outside world? Will her love become something real, or stay a questionable if?
Spoiler Alert: Love is Everything, everything
lovely and romantic. reminded me of TFIOS
Typically, I am not the biggest fan of contemporaries unless the story is amazing. This is definitely one of those stories. It is different, yet realistic. I really loved the writing. There are a few charts and doodles inside as well that are very fitting. The story was so compelling that I finished this book in one sitting. I experienced so many feelings while reading this. Sadness, hope, pity, and the heartwarming that came when the two main characters came together. It is truly a wonderful book. I admit that contemporary books are hit and miss for me, but this book was a homerun. Even if contemporary isn’t your thing, read this! I recommend this book to all!
What I liked
I loved the main characters. They were described wonderfully and you really get a glimpse into their personalities. I loved the way that they came together in the book. It was beautiful and tragic and heartwarming all at the same time. Any book that came make me feel so many conflicting emotions is a book worth reading and recommending. I loved the twist in the book. I was expecting a tragic end, but I was pleasantly surprised by what the tragedy actually was.
What I didn’t like
I have mixed feelings about the ending of this book. It really was a pretty perfect ending. Witty, and heartwarming. At the same time, I wanted more! Part of me appreciated the ending of the book, and another part of me yearns for more, more, more!
This is the first book that I’ve read by Nicola Yoon and it won’t be the last. I absolutely loved this book and it was just so easy to read and get sucked into. I was left wanting more. I hope Nicola writes a sequel or a novella featuring Maddy and Olly I just can’t get enough of them.
I honestly hate it. It was repetitive and the ending made me want to punch a wall
I completely recommend this to ALL people young (well not too young)! !! !! This is an outstanding story!! !!
Totally unexpected ending. Tug at your heart strings kind of story. Quick read
I didn’t really like this book. It was kinda boring and there was only one very interesting part which was right at the end.
