This fun, light-hearted book teaches children that it’s OK to feel angry—in fact, everybody gets angry, including Dad, Mom, Grammy, the dog, and even the neighborhood squirrel! And everybody gets happy again!
Emma is a preschooler who gets often gets angry when things don’t go her way. For example, eating ice cream before dinner or a sibling snatching her toy. The author also uses pets and animals like a squirrel to explain everyone gets angry. Emma soon gets over her anger when the cause for the anger is removed or a substitute provided in its place. The only problem I have with the book is that each situation is treated the same. When Emma breaks her grandma’s lamp, her grandma has a right to feel anger. Similarly, when Emma spills grape juice on the white couch, Mom simply cleans it up. I think that children need to understand sometimes an anger response might be justified. We don’t always get over it immediately and feel happy again.
The book is a way for parents and teachers to indicate alternatives and ways to alleviate anger, but there needs to be more discussion of the motivations and reasons behind the anger. Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers.

Will read to great grands often, as reminder. As a Christian we can all feel anger, but the important thing is how we handle our feelings

The author made it sound like it was okay for children to be able angry and that they would suddenly be happy again. I would have liked the author to focus more on teaching how not to act in anger rather than promise instant happiness after angry tantrums.

Good book for kids. Kids like everyone get mad but everyone says not to. Book tells kids getting mad is part of being a human. That it is normal. Great idea

I don’t know what it is about the free short stories for the Kindle app, but they never seem to fully make since to me and are always lacking something. They always cute and the illustrations are always well done, but overall each novel tends to be missing something.
In “Everybody Gets Angry” all you really see is a little girl showing her tale throughout different scenarios that would earn my own children a pop on the bottom. I believe that this story could have been written better, with more details on what makes you feel angry, but also what it takes to calm down in the different situations.
I was disappointed.

In this book
The circumstances had to change in order for the person to be happy again
I would’ve preferred a book that shows you what to do when feeling angry even if your circumstances do not change

I read it to my two year old so that he will learn to manage his emotions early in life, it is relatable for kids and explains well to the kids.

This book is repetitive. Though I understand the purpose of the repetition (which is in order to reinforce the idea of anger being okay), the use of the same words on every page makes for a boring read. My daughter did not like it.

Great for my autistic students and for young children to learn that everyone gets angry. It’s not the emotion that is bad, it’s the behavior!
