Two shattered lives. One final vow.HopeGrowing up, I had everything.A loving big brother, a great family and a happy life. But then it all changed. Now, my entire world is shattered. The only thing that still makes sense is how I feel about Evan.I love him more than anything, but it’s not enough anymore.I’m tired of chasing after him. Tired of being held at arm’s length.I can’t live like this any … anymore.
I’m tired of chasing after him. Tired of being held at arm’s length.
I can’t live like this any longer.
Walking away will destroy me.
Yet what other choice do I have?
Evan
Growing up, my best friend’s sister was always around.
I took care of her, I protected her. She was my friend too.
Then one night she became more. So much more.
But then all hell broke loose.
I screwed up. I became the reason for her pain.
My mistake ruined everything.
Afraid of destroying what we have left, I keep her at arm’s length.
Fed up with my distance, she’s ready to end it all.
That can’t happen.
It’s time to face facts… Hope is mine.

I just love how with this series even though each book is focused on a certain couple you get to know more about the world around them and their friends and family. Having meet Hope and Evan in the last 2 books we knew something was going on with them but wow once we find out the past they both shared as well as the heart break you see why they were the way there were. This is really one hell of an emotional roller coaster of a read, the way J.E. Parker sucks you into her world is just amazing as you really connect wit all the characters and feel the emotions they do. Hope and Evan are so broken I really didn’t know how things would end in this book just due to the everything they were going through. Their love, anger, happiness and every are so extreme and understandably so, but lets not forget we have Grandmama if we need her as well as everyone else to help support them both. This really was the one of the best reads i have had in a very long time and totally recommend you read book 1 and 2 to get the full effect and you will not be disappointed!!
This book started tugging at my heart right from the beginning. Hope and Evan grew up together. He was her brother’s best friend. They had their whole life in front of them, and hints of a forever kind of romance. They just had to get through Evan’s last deployment to Iraq. Unfortunately, tragedy struck. Evan came home, but he isn’t the same. Now they are caught in an endless cycle of hurt, and need. It was heartbreaking! These two were hurting so much. Hurting themselves. Hurting each other. Their emotions come through so clearly, I just wanted to break down and cry for them. The author’s descriptions are so vivid, I could almost feel what they were feeling. It’s unreal. Throughout, I could only hope that they could keep it together, and come out stronger on the other side of it all.
This book was so full of every emotion, that I was pulled every which way. Lots of tears, and more than a few laughs. There were even a couple of times that I laughed so hard, I cried! This series has been a roller coaster, with each book adding to the next. From one book to the next, they’ve added to their mixed up, crazy family, and it just keeps getting better. This book was just amazing, in every way!
Blew me away. I absolutely loved this one from the beginning to the very end. Had me on the edge of my seat,in tears, holding my breath and wanting to once again cry. So many different emotions with this book. These characters grab your heart and don’t let go until the very end . I absolutely loved each and every one of the characters. Hope and Evan go through so very much but love conquests all. I absolutely love these two together and love reading his they overcome so very much. I can’t wait to read more from these characters. I do hope there is more. So very well written great character chemistry and a great story line. This is an absolute must read .
I have waited for Evan & Hope’s story & wasn’t disappointed.
Evan is best friends with Ryker Hope’s Brother but before they left for the army they finally declared their feelings
Hope has loved Evan forever, but the man who came back from the war was not the man who left.
I can’t wait to read what’s in store for the rest of the gang. Strong alpha men along with sassy, beautiful, funny women who each haven’t had easy lives.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
emotional story.
This author has done a wonderful job of building a world in which the heroines are strong women who’ve face unimaginable circumstances and have the fortitude to not only overcome it, but find the lives they’ve always wanted for themselves with the men who love and adore them beyond reason and measure.
This book is no exception, and it’s my favourite of the series so far. Hope and Evan were always meant to be, but secrets and situations threaten to tear them apart. I don’t often cry when reading romances, but this book made me teary multiple times. I adore this author’s writing and can’t wait to read the rest of her books.
This book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed, I cried and I loved all of it!
It’s finally here, the most beautiful heart wrenching love story for 2018!
Every promise you made illustrates what happens when we are young, ignorant and naive and make promises that we set in stone and think we will be able to live up to. However, when we discover for the first time that some things in life are beyond our control we watch as the pain rips through our most precious loved ones and the consequences of our actions are more damaging than we thought possible – it leaves a person with a darkness that touches their soul!
Evan and Hope met when they were younger through her brother Ryker. That first day at kindergarten set the course of their lives. As best friends they did everything together and it was no surprise that Evan and Hope fell madly in love with each other:) After High School, Ryker and Evan signed up for the Marines and served in Afghanistan. However, promises are broken and their world is turned upside down with tragedy.
Now years later, Evan is not the man he wants to be for Hope because he’s weighed down by grief and guilt and Hope is lost in her own grief that her and Evan will never be together or forever as they promised each other!
So many milestones these two had to go through to be together but in the end it prepared them for the future and to enjoy the happiness they found and to not take it for granted:) Loved this story and cried happy tears at the end! Thank you JE Parker for my advanced copy and I willingly leave my honest review. But also a thank you for letting me into your world and yes there were times I was frustrated by Evan and Hope’s back and forth, but ultimately I was riveted to the book and knew you’d get me and them to the finish line and it was beautiful:) Looking forward to the next couple!
Evan and Hope will take you on an emotional read of love and loss. War and what it takes to come back from. I laughed ,cried, has my heart broken but loved the whole story from beginning to end. It has all the others from the first two books with a lot of happy endings.
Evan is lost after losing his best friend to war. He comes back a changed man . He loves Hope and doesn’t want to give her up to any one. Will he be able to fix himself and her before it’s to late?
Hope was happy carefree and until she got the news about her brother she is lost and don’t know what to do. She loves Evan with everything she has but will it be enough to have her stay when she learns all his secs
An amazing read can’t wait to read more from this author
This book hit it again with all the emotional highs and lows. I love how this author consistently finds ways to portray her characters’ feelings with real depth. Evan and Hope were wonderful characters, and they had me laughing and crying throughout the book. Yet another amazing romance story chock full of emotional angst and deeply provoking characters.
This book was absolutely fantastic. Hope and Evan have known each other for almost their entire lives, but heartbreak and tragedy has gotten in the way of their true happiness. They’re both dealing with loss and mourning in their own ways, know that they’re both in pain, but don’t know how to heal those wounds without some prodding from outside parties (enter Grandmama and Shelby, two of my favorites). These two make their way back to each other in one of the most heartbreakingly wonderful ways I’ve read in a while. Their love endures so much self-inflicted pain, yet binds them together so strongly that I couldn’t help but read through my tears and laughter.
I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series first, since JE Parker always weaves a tale with the perfect blend of angst, love, heartache, and redemption, but this can be read as a stand-alone if you wish.
This book was really good! It was full of angst and had me teary eyed quite a bit! I felt bad for Evan but wanted to smack him a couple times too! Loved Hope and OMG Grandmama was freakin’ hilarious!!
Wow what can I say about this book.. this book will have your emotions every we’re and have you glued to the words. This is another amazing book by J.E. Parker. I love the flow of the words as you are right there.. this book will take you on a roller coaster ride if emotions..
This whole series is awesome. Each story is just as good, if not better than the one before. Hope and Evan’s story was just beautiful. A story of a love so strong, that neither one can move on. A tear jerker for sure. Please read this series, you won’t regret it.
Any author that can make me cry and write such a good, emotional story will be a new favorite author of mine. I haven’t read any other books by J.E. Parker yet but I plan on doing so. I didn’t get very far into the book before the tears started rolling down my face. This story is so amazing that I keep recommending it every chance I get. I loved the characters and how they were able to get past the broken promise and just be in love with each other!
Every Promise You Made is book three of a series, didn’t matter. I read it as a standalone and it worked. This is the first from this author for me, I will be adding books one and two only because I want and need more. I’ve just got to make sure I’m ready emotionally to read them. These characters’ guilt, turmoil and feelings bled through the pages and into my heart, that’s good writing. I laughed, I cried, I felt their struggles. Hope and Evan are probably my favorite couple this summer. I am ready for more. Beautifully written but get the tissues out. Wow! I just can’t get over this story.
Evan Morgan has a twin brother named Brantley but his closest relationship is with his best friend Ryker Peterson since they were in kindergarten. When Evan and Ryker decide to join the Marines after high school the two are ready to do their duty but Evan leaves behind his heart with Ryker’s little sister, Hope.
Hope Peterson has had a crush on Evan for as long as she can remember and when Evan is leaving for his 3rd tour overseas the two finally kiss and Hope knows that Evan is hers. But when Hope makes Evan promise he will bring Ryker home will Evan be able to keep his promise?
As Evan breaks his promise to Hope will he be able to live with himself and the guilt he has for living? Will he let Hope move on with her own life as he is struggling with his own?
This was a great book and I really enjoyed it!
At first Evan is this larger than life guy but when he comes back from the war he is so broken inside and yet he almost punishes himself by not getting himself the help he needs to be able to move on from everything. I understood why he needed to protect Hope because he promised Ryker but he was punishing her by having her stuck in limbo about their relationship and him not letting her get involved with anyone else.
My heart broke for Hope as she lost her brother and she lost Evan as well. The Evan that left her was definitely not the same one that came back. Yet she continued to stay with him until she finally gets to that breaking point after being pushed too far.
There was so much chemistry between the two of them but there was also so much unsaid and Evan was afraid that if Hope knew the real truth that she would hate him. It did make me mad that he put so little faith in Hope. I knew once Hope was able to make some progress physically with Evan that she may finally get through to him.
I loved the friendships that Hope had with her girls – Shelby, Maddie, Claire and Carissa. Shelby was so awesome and I loved how she made Evan think a different way and made him realize what he stood to lose.
Grandmama was the most incredible character and I loved her!! She made me laugh so much and she was so crazy!!
I was not expecting the twist at the end and I was freaking out so much!! I loved “what came” to Evan and Hope and how all the pieces were put back together!
Such a great book and I look forward to more!!
Loved every second of this book it holds your attention till the very end leaving you with wanting more and wanting to see what happens next. Great read
Hope and Evan are as damaged as can be. These two people who fell in love as teenagers, never gave anyone else another glance, and are together under less than ideal circumstances as adults, can they make things work?
I absolutely loved this book. The storytelling was spot on, the drama was gripping, the heartbreak was real, and there were times that I really wanted to reach in and smack both Evan and Hope. Told from alternating POVs, I flew through the book, yet hated for it to end.
Oh my JE Parker knows what she is doing !
I cried again my heart broke JE if you ever read this you are amazing you break my heart and put it back together again at least four times each book wow just wow you have heart and know how to pull those strings lol
This book was heartfelt from the start to the end it was bloody breath taking !
I need a grandma and friends/family like the wonderful ones from this series I find myself slightly jealous of each character yes each goes through their own hell but come out stronger each and every time …. I can’t wait for the next book !
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Be prepared to need klenex – many! It’s the third book in the Redeeming Love series and it’s as emotional as the first two books. Both Hope and Evan need each other to literally stay alive, but guilt and broken promises might tore them apart. Absolutely heartbreaking story…
