Like all of the other books by James Herriot this one was great. I always learn new things both about animals and the country which James Herriot worked.
Helps visualize another era and hard work that had to be done.

Technically a novel, it is one of a series written by Alf Wight using the pen name James Herriott. The stories are true to life, giving a vivid picture of life in rural England in the post WWII era. This is the last of the “All Creatures Big and Small” Series by James Herriot. They are just a Classic. Everyone should read them and I’m sure nearly everyone already has. They are the memoirs of a country vet. They are inspiring, Sometimes funny and sometimes sad, but overall they are just good.
