The New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series returns to Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed…. Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The … without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.
Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.
Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime….

All I can say is I wanted to crawl into this book and be part of the small town of Hartwell. I want to be best friends with Bailey, Jessica, Emery and Dahlia, I want to hang out at Cooper’s Bar. Although I don’t like the Devlin’s, I want to know about Jack Devlin, there is a mystery there that I need to know. Samantha Young is a VERY talented writer. She creates wonderful, likeable characters. She writes story-lines that are real and awesome. She does hot romance that will make you fan yourself. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect, Just read the damn book!
Buckle up and hang on for a wild ride! Bailey has a lot on her plate, between being attacked, someone trying to take her Inn, and catching her boyfriend of 10 years cheating on her. She had her heart broken when she was 19 and is determined not to fall for the same type of man again.
Vaughn lost his mother at a young age and saw how it destroyed his father, so he’s kept women at an arm’s length, not willing to risk his heart. I enjoyed this better than That One Real Thing, and the friendships are so well-developed. I’m so excited to read Dahlia and Emery’s stories next!
Every Little Thing is the second book in the Hart’s Boardwalk series. You don’t really need to read the first one but you will have a better experience if this series is read in order, so I would recommend doing that. You will not regret picking up this series. Every Little Thing is fantastic. You are drawn in by bickering of Bailey and Vaughn. There is no denying the chemistry they share. Bailey is probably my favorite person so far in the Hart’s Boardwalk series. She is simply lovely and trying to save her town and keep it as is. You will fall in love with Vaughn the more you get to know him. I adore Vaughn and Bailey together. I could not get enough of Bailey and Vaughn. I love that we still get a little piece of everyone throughout this series. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for more to come.
I was so anxious to read Bailey and Vaugh’s story and it’s wonderful! I just love these two. Full of wit and heart, this story leaves you with a smile on your face. Samantha Young’s writing is so engaging, and she captivates you, drawing you into this quaint town with its memorable group of people. I just love Hartwell and this wonderful group of characters.
I enjoyed Bailey and Vaughn’s banter, their blossoming relationship, and seeing them allow their defenses to loosen and eventually drop. They have such intense chemistry. Bailey has so much spunk and heart and I love how caring she is. She’s a breath of fresh air. Vaughn, once you get to the heart of him under that business suit, and really get to see him for the man the caring, loyal man he truly is, is spectacular. He and Bailey are a perfect fit and so fun together. Their story is heartfelt and filled with love. I’m loving this series and can’t wait to see whose story we get next!
There’s something inherently comforting about being back on Hart’s Boardwalk.
This series returns with its second book and this time readers are treated to more from the sizzling but unrequited romance between Hart’s Boardwalk’s own princess, Bailey Hartwell, and the businessman she more than likes to clash with, Vaughn Tremaine.
Bailey has been with her boyfriend for 10 years now and despite having the feeling of settling for him rather than truly loving him, she continues her relationship with him, that is until she witnesses the unimaginable. What stuns Bailey more is her indifference to her breakup. Feeling more angry and embarrassed than broken and emotional, Bailey does what she always does and buries herself in her work all whilst being supported by her friends; Jess, Emery and Dahlia, oh and of course Cooper.
Vaughn has a strong protective bond toward Bailey and despite his best intentions to keep her at a distance, he finds himself firmly rooted in protecting her from the ever present danger courtesy of the Devlin family. When he finds her fighting off an attacker, Vaughn’s feelings for Bailey start to get personal and he decides to step in to support her. With Bailey vulnerable, Vaughn’s support gets physical and despite their explosive connection, Vaughn realises that he’s made a huge mistake and poor Bailey is left one again spurned by a man, only this time it really hurts.
With Vaughn and Bailey side stepping around each other, it comes down to their friends to try and make the pair realise that they were born to be together but with these two, they have a battle on their hands. Vaughn has demons that the must overcome in order to accept his feelings for Bailey but first, he must open up to her in order for her to see him for who he truly is.
During Vaughn and Bailey’s story, we also get to see a little more of Emery’s mysterious layers being peeled away, especially how she reacts to none other than Jack Devlin. Jack is still the elusive character in this story and appears loyal to no-one but at the same time, there is a strong feeling that he’s planted himself within his family’s business in order to protect those he once called his friends.
Dahlia also had a little drama of her own when the ex who appears to have broken her heart turns up in Emery’s book shop and despite him leaving as quickly as he arrived, thanks to Bailey, I’m sure we’ve not heard the last from him.
Ian and Stu Devlin continue to wreak havoc in Hart’s Boardwalk and this time they enlist Vanessa, Bailey’s sister and part-owner of the Inn, into their schemes. Vanessa is the polar opposite of Bailey, she’s driven by money, looks and doesn’t care if she hurts her sister along the way. When she’s witnessed entering a hotel room with Jack Devlin, by Vaughn, Bailey starts to worry even more why exactly her sister has re-emerged in their hometown.
We also get to spend some time with Liam, Vaughn’s father, and I wouldn’t be averse to spending a little bit more time with him either, especially when it looks like he may be coming to Hart’s Boardwalk for an extended visit. Is love on the horizon for him as well?
I really do love this series. It’s beautifully written and provides readers with an escape to a place where dreams come alive and HEAs really do come true.
Man, I hate it when life gets in the way of me not getting to a book I’ve had since it’s release, in this case a freaking year, but boy when I finally am able to read that book, and it ends up being so worth the wait, it puts me in a very happy place. Every Little Thing was so well worth the wait, albeit a long one, I loved Vaughn and Bailey’s story. I love when a strong, powerful, painfully good looking and damaged man can be taken down by an equally stubborn and strong willed woman. There’s something incredibly sexy about it, especially when he finally gives into those feelings and overcomes the past challenges. This story had some definite twists in it, left a lot of doors open for future books, and I cannot wait. The mystery of Jack Devlin still looms, and it will be interesting when that finally comes out. Vanessa was a definite self centered brat, not sure I would want to be related to that, and loved Jessica and Cooper’s continued love story and wedding. The Devlin’s will always be a sore spot in Bailey and the Boardwalks close knit of friends, but now that Vaughn has entered the picture, this is gonna get interesting.
Samantha Young is definitely one of my handful of favorite authors, and this second installment of the Hart’s Boardwalk series did not disappoint, the only thing that was disappointing was how long it took me to finally read it! Well worth the read, can’t wait for the next book!
