One night in Vegas. One shot at a second chance. When I fell in love with Brinley Knox, she was the spoiled daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley. I was the troublemaker orphan, brought to town to find the straight and narrow. She was the homecoming princess. I was the hired help. She was the perfect daughter. I was the cautionary tale.We were young enough to think we could beat the … young enough to think we could beat the odds. Naïve enough to think the world would make room for true love. Neither of us was prepared for the bitter cold of reality.
I haven’t seen her for ten years. Until tonight.
Face-to-face with a woman who should be a stranger, I recognize the heart of the girl I never stopped loving.
She’s giving me one night. I’m betting everything on making it more.

If you love “wrong side of the tracks” stories as much as I do, you’ll want this new release by Lexi Ryan!
Lexi Ryan gives readers a wonderful introduction to Orchid Valley with this reunion prequel. You can’t help but hope Brinley and Mastron finally get their happy ever after. This story includes some of my favorite tropes – second chance and opposites attract. I can’t wait to read more of their journey to true love.
Lexi Ryan is starting her new Orchid Valley series with a bang! I love a second chance romance so if you do too, this is perfect.
“Like the stars waiting behind the clouds. Like the promise of the sunrise after a long night. Like the sea rolling into the shore. Inevitable. Fated.”
4.5 rating.
I’m happy I got this prequel, and I just got the next book too – what would you expect after this major cliffhanger?
I can’t get over how real and sweet this one is. Granted, it’s just a prequel to the real, full-on story I hope to read soon, but it does reel you in. I do love my second chance stories!
To be honest, I can relate to Marston a lot more than I can to Brinley. I understand that he thinks he’s not deserving, after so many years of having people tell him exactly that. And it was so good to see what he’s accomplished in ten years.
I love Lexi’s writing style. I loved the going back and forth in time as it allows us to really grasp the story.
Can’t wait to start the next one!
Second chance romance AND wrong-side-of-the-tracks and Lexi’s on-point, emotional, evocative writing?==All the win!
12/14/2021 One word sums up my opinion of “Every Little Promise” (nook) – WOW!!! This prequel novel is short and sweet. It is well-written, intense, happy, sad . . .
I, of course, immediately moved on to “Every Little Piece of Me.”
“The sight of her after all these years is both a punch to the gut and a balm to old wounds. This is the bitter and the sweet. This is the freefall into memories of first love and regrets of things left unsaid.”
This book hooked me from page one. I loved the way it toggled back and forth in time so effortlessly. I love the backstory, the anticipation, the angst you know is around the corner. I can’t wait for secrets to be revealed to see where their story takes them.
“Some people are given a family to care for and protect them by virtue of being born. The rest of us have to find our family in the friends who’d do more for us than our blood relatives ever would, and I thank God for mine every day. We make our own family.”
Every Little Promise by Lexi Ryan is a prequel novella that introduces her new series, Orchid Valley . A story of childhood friends and lovers, separated by ten years and social class, an appearingly random run-in in Vegas leaves two hearts in tatters and filled with indecisiveness. Second chances do happen – but will Brinley & Marston take full advantage of theirs or squander ita way? Emotional, powerful, well-written and well-paced especially for an introduction and novella length story. Loved it! Enjoy!
Every Little Promise is the first book that I have read by Lexi Ryan and I really loved it. I gave this novella a try because it was free on Amazon and seemed like a book I would enjoy and even pre-ordered the first book in the Orchid Valley series. I really loved Every Little Promise and could not put it down. Who doesn’t love a second chance at love and opposites attract romance. Lexi Ryan is definitely an author I will read more from. I love how Every Little Promise is written in the first person from the perspective of the two main characters and enjoy how it includes flashbacks from events that took place over ten years ago that impact both characters. Every Little Promise is the story of Brinley Knox, poor little rich girl and Marston Rowe, her first love who was “the staff”. The story begins with Brinley and Marston meeting in a Las Vegas casino bar ten and half years after last seeing each other. Brinley has been stalking Marston and hoped that he would be at this particular casino bar on this particular night, her twenty-seventh birthday, the anniversary of the date that he first kissed her, her first kiss. Through the flashback scenes we discover that Marston was part of the staff working Brinley’s elaborate sixteenth birthday party. Marston got into trouble at home with an addict mother and an unknown father, and finds himself living with his Aunt Lori, who works for the Knox family, to finish up his senior year of high school. Brinley had hoped to experience her first kiss with her boyfriend, Roman Humphries, at her birthday party, but instead she wanders into the kitchen and finds Marston and that changes the events of her life, much to her parents disapproval. Brinley and Marston share stolen moments in the flashback scenes, he helps her deal with her younger sister, Brittany’s, recurring battle with cancer. In the Las Vegas scenes, Marston buys Brinley all the things he could never afford when they were together as teenagers. Marston has made something of himself in the years that they have been apart, but is still in love with Brinley. Every Little Promise is filled with wonderful characters, from the rich snobs in Brinley’s flashbacks to the loving friends that both Brinley and Marston surround themselves with in the current day. I loved the way that Lexi Ryan told their story. I loved the poignant and bittersweet moments, and all the light moments from their Las Vegas adventure. It was the surprise ending that had me hooked. I loved the bittersweet ending of their story and could cannot wait to read Every Little Piece of Me when it is released.
Every Little Promise by Lexi Ryan is the Prequel / 0.5 in the Orchid Valley Series. This starts the story of Martson and Brinley along with setting us up for the full book that continues their story called ‘Every Little Piece of Me’. This was a great start to their story and was excited to read the next installment in their story.
Lexi Ryan is an absolute one click author. It doesn’t matter what she writes, I am one clicking it as soon as I’m aware of it’s existence. So as soon as I saw the sign ups for every little piece of me my name was on it. Then I saw this little prequel novella, and it’s a freebie so I obviously insta clicked.
I have had this on my kindle since it was released but I held back waiting for the actual book to land on my kindle. Because I know that if Lexi wrote it I’m going to feel all the emotions and I’m going to be invested from the first page. And I was.
I am so glad I waited to read this because I need to know everything about Brinley and Marston and I am diving into the full novel right now. See you when I recover.
Flipping heck this short prequel has left me with a hole in my chest! So many questions, I just can’t wait to read the next book. Second chance romance (my favourite), with what I’m guessing is going to be a bit of a twist. One thing I know for sure is that Marston Rowe could steal my heart any day of the week, and Brinley Knox is a fool for pushing him away.
This the prequel to Every Little Piece of Me, and it’s currently free on Amazon. Be warned though, you’ll want to dive straight in to book 1.
This was a great prequel to what I can tell will be another great series by Lexi Ryan!! It was a short fast read that I couldnt put down. I need the next book nooooooooowwww!!! It does leave you with a cliffhanger! I would definitely recommend this!!!
This is a great Novella that will introduce you to this new series from Lexi Ryan. It will wet your appetite and leave you ready and wanting more. I can’t wait to read more from this couple and see how their story plays out. They have never really gotten over each other and I have a feeling there are a few secrets that need to be revealed.
Can’t wait to start this new series <3
I love a juicy second-chance romance, and this one serves as an excellent introduction to Lexi Ryan’s Orchid Valley series!
Wrong side of the tracks. Opposites attract. AND a second chance/reunion story! Lexi Ryan hits all my easy-buy buttons with this prequel to Every Little Piece of Me and the introduction to her Orchid Valley series. And it’s Lexi Ryan soooo… Gimmee!!
Second-chance AND from Lexi Ryan? YES!
“Maybe it’s as simple as chemistry, but what we have has always seemed more than attraction. Like the stars waiting behind the clouds. Like the promise of the sunrise after a long night. Like the sea rolling to the shore. Inevitable. Fated.”
If I wasn’t excited for this new series, I am now!!! The perfect introduction to suck me right in and set the stage, and meet our couple. Second chance romance is one of my favorites and from the few breadcrumbs, there is going to be a whole lot to unravel. Even after 10 years apart, these two sizzled and steamed up my kindle and left me dying to find out their entire story!!! Orchid Valley proves to be a place you’ll want to visit!!

Ooooohhhh!! What a fabulous little prequel! I need more and can’t wait for the full novel.
Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe are perfect. So right together and so many feelings. Loved it!
This prequel just shows how good Marston and Brinley story will be!!! This was short but so good and I can’t wait for more. Marston and Brinley were raised completely different; he was the orphan delinquent and she was from the richest family. But their differences never stopped their attraction. As a matter of fact, Brinley was the one constantly pursuing the hired help as he was known. He didn’t want to get in trouble but then again he was always weak towards her. When they run into each other 10 years later the fire is still there but they are secrets and omg don’t know how this will turn out.
