I fell for her even though I knew better, and I walked away to protect us both. Now it’s three years later and I’m deep undercover with the FBI. Figures that the bikers I’m trying to take down would be targeting her; that’s just my damned luck.Ironically, she’s free to love anyone she wants now. But she doesn’t know that she can trust me. And I don’t know that I can trust myself to be around her … myself to be around her again.
Regardless, I’m going to keep her safe—with my life if it comes to it. Honestly, the risk to my survival, I’m trained to deal with. But the risk to my heart in all this? That’s a whole different story…

In the previous books in the series, Emerson is shown to be an unfeeling robot of a man who works for the FBI. He’s all about getting his man and often ignores his family in favor of work. Turns out, he is feelings for Delia who is his partner’s sister. She has an autistic son and when she met Emerson she was married. Her husband was in the military and often gone, but she and Emerson were just friends. He ends up moving away, taking Delia’s sister with him, because it’s too hard to be around Delia. Delia feels abandoned after that, especially when her husband dies, and is unaware of Emerson’s feelings.
Fast forward a few years and Emerson is working undercover to bring down some very bad thugs. Delia and her son are now in Montana with her sister and Emerson’s family. Emerson avoids her. He finally begins to think he may have a future with Delia but she doesn’t trust his feelings after the way he’s acted.
Danger, lust, and some really cute kids.
I was most excited to read Emerson’s story, and it did not disappoint. It’s exciting; Emerson is an FBI agent, after all. And it had so much love. But, I also ugly cried more than once. One of my most favorite quotes: “Come back to me, Emerson.” Holding her gaze, I nodded. The back of my fingers stroked against her full cheek. “I will, baby. I promise.” I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Oooooooooweeeee an intriguing beginning to this one. It explained some of the shuttle statements and reactions that Delia and Caiden had toward Emerson in the last book, Every Last Secret. I liked the last two books in the series but they didn’t overly excite me. This book had me thinking about it when I wasn’t reading it and talking to my kindle when I was reading it. I never thought that Emerson would turn out to be my second favorite Turk brother. Top billing belongs to Walker. Delia is so strong in the mist of all that she has had to deal with. I loved the plot and how it unfolded. It keep be involved and interested throughout the story. Hell Siobhan needs a man to occupy her time and stop Inserting herself in her cousins love life. She starting to annoy me after dealing with her for 5 books. She means well but enough already with the noisy pushy behavior. As usual it was great to have my little Leah back. Truth does told, I’m going to miss her the most out of all the characters. FYI Leah’s daddy, Jake needs a book. By the way I love all of Christa’s books. If Every Last Reason is your first book that introduces you to her go read more of her books. Until next time y’all happy reading.
This was another solid offering from this series! Emerson is an FBI agent and deep undercover when he sees Delia again. Delia is a single mom to Caiden who we met in a previous book. Emerson has infiltrated a motorcycle club and he is trying to take them down. Delia gets a member upset with her and he wants to kidnap her and ruin her, ultimately wanting to kill her. Emerson can’t let that happen because he has been in love with her for years. This book was action packed and full of twists and turns. Their story is not an easy one but it was so worth it. It was also nice to see more of the Turk family!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book!
The final brother, Emerson, finally claims the woman he has loved for years. Delia is a widowed single mother with a son that has special needs. The two knew each other when she was married to Ken and thats when his feelings started. After Ken’s death, Emerson avoided Delia, abandoning her when she needed him. Now years after, while deep undercover she is threatened by the MC he is trying to take down…will he succeed and finally tell her the real reason he left.
A great read that concludes the stories of the brothers who all find the “one”. This ends on a high with plenty of danger and action as Emerson plays his role in the MC. These two skirted around each other for years and FINALLY give into the love they both have for each other. The story had steam and sparks between them and the only thing missing for me was….was Emerson with anyone during his harbored feelings for Delia? I would like to think not and it didn’t elude that he was but I would have liked the confirmation from him.
Otherwise a read a couldn’t put down once I started and a great ending to the Turk brothers.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is Emerson and Delia’s story. It was good and I liked it but, honestly, I felt it lacked much of the charm and chemistry that was so evident in Every Last Touch, Every Last Look and Every Last Secret. I think that this was maybe because the story kept the actual interactions between the couple limited. This meant there was little opportunity to witness actual growth in their emotions and connection to each other. There was lots of tension, drama, excitement, action and danger in the storyline. I will say that the lackluster evolution of their relationship does take a very satisfying turn at the end of the book and the reader does get a big payoff that makes the read well worth while. This takes the Last of Lindy Turk’s boys off the market, but I do hope to see books for other characters in this series.
Love reigns!
I admire Delia. She’s made her own way most of her life, helping raise her younger sister, then caring for her son who has the same issues as his Aunt Maddy.
Emerson is undercover setting up a vicious MC gang for a take-down. The gang goings-on disturb me deeply. It’s obvious they need to be taken out.
Slowly, cautiously, Delia and Emerson find their way into each other’s arms. Their story holds many dangers, but, ultimately is ever so satisfying. I love this Turk family and the ones they take into their fold.
Another fantastic book in the His To Claim series! This Emerson and Delia’s story. Emerson fell in love with Delia when she was married so he focused on his career in the FBI. Emerson’s undercover operation with a MC puts Delia’s life in danger. He does everything he can to protect her. He also does everything to show how he feels about her. I was glued to my kindle as soon as I started reading it and I couldn’t stop until I finished! It was full of action, suspense, danger and hot, steamy sexiness! It’s everything you could want in a romance! I loved this book and the entire series! I love the Turk family and I’m sorry to see it end!
Heart-stopping love beyond reason!
Since the first book in this series I’ve been fascinated by the enigmatic Emerson, a stone-cold FBI agent and youngest of the Turk brothers. Since we met Delia, Emerson’s been slowly thawing and really coming to life. This story hits the ground running as Emerson’s undercover operation threatens Delia’s safety.
I was absolutely glued to this book as the story unfolds. Emerson takes on so much pain, so much risk, in order to bring the criminals to justice, and the intensity of the situation forces him to reveal his heart to Delia. And oh, wow, do these two have chemistry! The action is non-stop right up until we slam head first into their HEA.
It’s everything we could want in a love story, and as an added bonus we get updates on the entire Turk family as the years have passed. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
