I didn’t mean to bid on him.I’d attended my meddling Great Aunt Dotty’s local bachelor auction with every intention of winning a date with the handsome doctor in town I’ve had my eye on for a few years now. And even if that hadn’t been the case, believe you me, Sheriff Gamble is the absolute last man that should’ve been on my radar when the bidding began. It’s tough enough being a female deputy … enough being a female deputy in a small town and a big family with way more overprotective males than any single girl should have. Last thing I need is gossip flying about me and my admittedly hot, mysteriously brooding boss.
Still. Something happened when that auction got under way. Things got heated, and somehow I ended up outbidding every damn woman in the place.
Now, I’ve officially won buff, gruff Jude Gamble for eight hours next week.
And I don’t have a clue in hell what to do with him…

A fun read that will have you grinning from start to finish! I loved Gamble and Siobhan’s character and together they sizzle and will have you cheering for their HEA. Although quick this new release makes a lasting impression, great storyline, likable characters, and a surprising heat level that doesn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this enjoyable and entertaining series.
The book revolves around a town bachelor auction that Aunt Dotty organizes. It is obvious to the reader immediately that Aunt Dotty is doing some matchmaking. We see a bit of a backstory in regards to Gamble and Siobhan and then things pick up at the bachelor auction. Aunt Dotty sneakily pulls some strings to push these two together and we see that Dotty’s bachelor auction scheming will be far reaching for other couples in future books.
Very enjoyable story.

This story brought me out of a blue funk. It started with a laugh, then a grin for few pages, then a giggle. Back to a laugh. Never less than a grin for the most part. I mean there were a couple snarls and a _itch or two. But mostly a very uplifting loving good time. You will not regret reading this book.

A short novella about what happens when you go to a bachelor auction to bid on a man youve had your eye on only to end up with your boss. Funny in places. steamy too but also with a pretty good story and a good read even if its a little short
I’m so glad Siobhan got her story. She is definitely my favorite character in the His To Claim series. She’s actually my favorite character that Christa has ever written. Her wit and sense of humor make me laugh and smile. By the way she is sassy as all get out. Gamble is a man after my own heart. He was so patient in waiting on Siobhan to finally figure out what he already knew which was that they belonged together. Of course typical stubborn Siobhan needed a push in Gable’s direction in the persons of sweet meddling great aunt Dot. I enjoyed cameos from previous characters and introduction new ones. Christa never disappoints with her book so I’m always anticipating the next one. If you haven’t read her books give yourself a treat and start one today. Until next time y’all happy reading.

What a great sweet tale. This storyline was great! I had more than a couple of laugh out loud moments. The spark between these two was strong. Even if Siobhan had pushed it deep down. This is definitely a case where the waiting was well worth it!

What a great read. When you deny your feelings for so long how will react when someone forces your hand? This book is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and warm fuzzies in your heart.

Good, humorous and tender romance
4.5
I chose this book because the blurb promised a rather embarrassing situation for the heroine, and I was not disappointed.
The story has some funny notes, some hot scenes, and that’s basically how the two heroes decide to try something, that carries the story. The two characters are sympathetic, moving too, pushed towards each other by a manipulation that they understand only afterwards, and they try to avoid this relation because Gamble is Siobhan’s superior in the police.
I found the character of Siobhan is funny because of her allergic reaction to the character of Sherrilynn Connors throughout the story.

Every Last Call is a great story! Sheriff Jude Gamble is one of the main attractions at the annual Community bachelor auction, Deputy Siobhan Turk’s aunt is the mastermind of the auction. Siobhan is at the auction to bid on the hunky town doctor or so she thinks! After seeing that Sherrilyn Connors her nemesis wants to put her claws in Jude, she decides to bid. Siobhan deduces that Sherrilyn will make life miserable if she gets him. She wins Jude for an 8 hour date. It is great watching Siobhan and Gamble interact! She leads us to believe that she is one tough cookie not all interested in Jude but the chemistry between the two of them is off the charts! Throw in an internal state investigation and you get a great read!
Non-stop action fires up this outstanding romance!
Siobhan has a crush on her boss, Sheriff Jude Gamble, but it can’t go anywhere so she focuses her attentions on another handsome gentleman at the charity auction. But before he gets his turn on stage, Siobhan finds herself bidding for spite and winds up with a date with Jude!
I loved this return visit with the Turk family, and I especially loved the quiet strength that Jude demonstrated as he realizes that his feelings for Siobhan might not be one-sided after all. There’s a bit of action and tension when a case threatens to sideline their relationship and of course we get to see the entire town gossip train in action, but Siobhan’s bar-top wrangling was definitely the highlight of the book!
This is a rather short novella, but well worth reading. Everything a good romance needs is packed in without a single wasted word. And that “secret” that Aunt Dotty lets slip in the epilogue? I can’t wait to see all her plans in action! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was another solid offering from this series! Jude is the sheriff and Siobhan is a deputy on the force. Great Aunt Dotty is holding a local bachelor auction and Siobhan is determined to win a date with the local doctor. She ends up winning a date with Jude so she can keep him away from another woman she doesn’t care for. What an unexpected turn of events! Their story is funny and cute. Loved finally getting Siobhan’s story.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book!
Every Last Call” Christa Wick’s fifth book in her His To Have Series is a fantastic novella length romance read. Siobhan and Jude work together. He is her boss and for years has been able to keep his feelings and attraction in check. Siobhan has always crushed on her boss but managed to repress her feelings.
A bachelor auction sets them both up to fall fantastically hard for one another. Jealousy rears its ugly head when another woman bids on her man. Losing all control, Siobhan wins him and all bets are off. The two are unable to fight their attraction and they fall hard and fast for one another. A lovely lunch time read. TBR and enjoy.
