This book is a great read. You have to just keep reading through the whole book (the end is worth it.) I got frustrated with a lot of the beginning parts of the book. I get people are blinded by love/lust, but it’s hard when you can so clearly see how bad that person is. I have some very mixed emotions where this book is concerned. I really didn’t like some parts and loved other parts.
I’m a little biased myself because I have rose colored goggles where Sam is concerned. I love him! He’s mine!! From page one he grabbed ahold of my heart and never let it go. So therefore anyone else just wasn’t worthy. Sam made this whole book worth reading!!!!
London I have some choice words for in places! I wanted to jump through the page and shake her. Knock some sense into her. I really hope she’s different in book 2. I want her to learn to not rely on everyone else to do things for her and make her happy.
I really feel like Bryce was just all wrong for London from the beginning of the book, but maybe it was because I have rose colored glasses on He was way too possessive and jealous for me. Sam has been around for years!! Of course London is going to have a special connection to him. Get over it!!!!
While I didn’t really think the cliffhanger was that major, I wish I had book two in my hands because I do really want to know what happens next. I will be reading book two as soon as it’s available. I have to know more about Sam, London, Bryce, Hunter and Memphis.
An angsty, suspenseful and emotional read. I was captivated from the beginning as it takes you through an emotional journey. It’s well written storyline with characters you will love. Looking forward to reading more as the twists continue.
‘ve been a fan of Faith Andrews from the beginning and Man of My Dreams, and after reading Every Breath You Take, I may have a new favorite.
London’s story is beautifully written and full of anguish that you can feel on each page. When her life starts to look up, you’re happy but skeptical, but get the rug pulled out from under you at the same time she does when she discovers nothing is as she thought.
Every Breath You Take is sexy, captivating, and will leave you itching like hell for the next book!
I finally got to finish this book and enjoyed it very much even tho it was a cliffy. Lol. I’ll need to pick up book 2 soon!
Amazing book 1 of this duet. can’t wait to get into next book
This is book 2 in The Every Breath Duet and I couldn’t wait to read it. A fantastic conclusion to this beautiful story. I don’t want to give anything away so I won’t say anymore expect that you will love it! Beautifully written as always by this author.
Okay, like most readers, I generally am not a fan of books that end with a cliffhanger. But I do enjoy the delayed gratification when I know that the next book will release shortly after, so I am alright in this instance (Take My Breath Away releases about a month after this book).
London has just ended her marriage to Hunter. They had been together since high school, and she thought they would be together forever, but that wasn’t in their cards. After moving back in with her mother (who is sick), she ends up falling for Bryce, who happens to be her mother’s doctor. But waiting on the sidelines is Sam, London’s long-time best friend.
This book was just wow! Often when dealing with love triangles (and while I would consider this that subgenre, it wasn’t overwhelming), the female main character comes across as wishy-washy or indecisive. And while London had moments of this, she was much stronger than most. I couldn’t help but root for Sam to pull through, and I guess we’ll find out if he perseveres in the conclusion to this duet.
I definitely recommend Every Breath You Take!
Every Breath You Take (Every Breath Duet Book 1) by Faith Andrews is a contemporary romance with a touch of mystery. The story follows London Monroe as she moves in with her mother who is having serious health issues and navigates the painful transition of going through a divorce.
Starting over isn’t easy, and London is having a difficult time of it alone. Her best friend, Sam Goodwin, had just begun a year-long work assignment in China when London’s marriage fell apart. He’s been as supportive as possible from thousands of miles away, but phone calls are not the not the same as being there.
Nearly a year after splitting from her husband, London begins to explore a new relationship with the confident and mysterious Dr. Bryce Owen. Things seem to be off to a great start between them until Sam returns home and shakes everything up leaving London confused and torn between the two.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read. The love triangle is resolved by the end of the story, but since this is the first book in a duet it does end with a cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to the conclusion in book 2.
* I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. *
I absolutely loved this book, especially Sam. Hunter and Bryce I wanted to smack, each for different reasons. And Memphis – don’t even get me started on him!!!!
I cannot wait for book 2 to find out what happens!
Every Breth You Take by Faith Andrews was a good read.
I felt a lot of things while reading, but I can’t say it was angst or heartache or anything like it.
London wasn’t my favorite female character but there was a lot she went through and she had to adjust accordingly even if sometimes annoyingly.
This story is about her journey through her recent divorce and the deep disappointment in her husband and trying to find her way yet again in her new life while struggling with her mother’s illness.
She barely opens up to a new man when things get complicated again when her best friend, Sam, returns from abroad with only one mission in his focus.
He stirs and mix up things in London’s head and heart for sure and gives her a few new topics to think about.
London’s character seemed a bit too analysing for my taste but I liked how she developed throughout the story.
The ending threw yet another curve ball which can either prod London to evolve more or has the potential to push her back to her more annoying weaker self. I can’t wait to find out which it will be in the next book.
Any one else singing the song when they read the title?!?! No just me, oh well.
Every Breath You Take is a whole lot of book in one. The blurb definitely gives of a suspense like vibe but the book it self is more second chance romance plus…Plus meaning and more. Its the extra package. The book with more than you bargained for.
Its a sweet second chance romance with some curve balls unless you are paying attention to the details then you are going to nail it out of the park. Just watch the pitcher because you don’t wnt to take the chance on the wrong swing.
Join the crew for book two and find out how it all pans out…
reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Every Breath You Take is poignant and beautifully written. Faith Andrews has done it again. She has written a story with characters that are real and circumstances that are true to life. London Monroe faces problems that none of us want in our lifetime. She has an amazing support team and friends that are beyond loyal. She learns to live again for herself and finds herself making some hard decisions.
Even though the outcome of this story is where I wanted it to be, the ending left me speechless. Let’s just say, Ms. Andrews, I will be waiting on pins and needles for the conclusion. I highly recommend this friends to lovers story.
When I heard about this book, I read a sypnosis and was really interested. That was quite awhile ago, so I kind of went in blind when I started. I honestly think that was the best way with this book, because it was so good!! I was hooked from the start.
London is a character I related to immediately. Not because of things happening in her love life, but with the relationship she has with her mother. I am just as close as they are and it was really fun seeing a mother/daughter relationship portrayed in a book I read. This brought a smile to my face and really made me understand how she felt about what was going on with her mother.
Every Breath You Take is an emotional rollercoaster and Faith Andrews knows how to make you feel them all. I can’t imagine having your life turned upside down like London did. When it comes to the romance aspects of this book, I had my doubts about a certain character (don’t want to spoil anything). I loved her best friend Sam though. I think we all deserve a Sam.
And at the end, just when I thought everything was settling down, I read the ending!! I need the second book right now!! I need to know how London’s story continues!
Oh My! Where do I start?!?!? This book is so full of feels and oh the angst! Drama, Romance, Suspense, Laughter, Opposite Sex Best Friend, Failed Marriage, Sick Parent, Obsessed Lover – this book has it all! Be prepared to feel all of the emotions and go on an ride thru the pages!
I fell head over heels in love with Sam and can’t not wait to get my hands on book 2 to see where this story goes and how it ends. I know it will be yet another emotional roller coaster.
As usual, Faith Andrews does not disappoint!
Every Breath You Take by Faith Andrews (Every Breath Duet 1)
Phenomenal story! Wow! Absolutely loved everything about this book!! Very well written! Full of angst and hot romance. Can not wait for Duet 2!
“Your breath is as sweet as the rest of you.”
“My love for you encompasses so much more. You’re my every breath.”
Oh my word this book!!!!! I’m beyond speechless….. London was only 26 years old and going thru a divorce. Hunter was her everything and her first which she wish would’ve been her last but things didn’t work out. Hunter and London has so much love between them and when I read the reason why of their separation it broke my heart. I wondered how would she move on especially with the news that her mom health was deteriorating.
Enter Dr. Hottie, Bryce Owen and her best friend for more than 15 years, Sam Goodwin. Boy did things got interesting between all parties involved. There was literally a pissing contest between both guys. London was oblivious and blind to the way Sam felt about her but Bryce saw it crystal clear. One thing both guys had was trying to be there for London especially in the issue of her mother.
I won’t go into details because you’ll have to find out the outcome of this trio while reading it. Secrets are surfaced which I had my hunch after couple chapters that one of them was too good to be true. Then the other one made it his business to win her over.
The ending/cliffhanger left my imagination going wild and coming up with all sorts of crazy scenarios especially after a blast from the past for London reappears. I can’t wait for book 2 because I’m in desperate need of several answers.
Hunter is London’s high school sweetheart and they married at a young age. She’s only ever been with him and thought they would be together forever. But Hunter’s lies and deceits have caused London to end her marriage with a broken heart. With her mom sick London moves back to her childhood home to take care of her. Months later while she is at the hospital with her mom she runs into Dr. Bryce Owen. Bryce is charming, charismatic and very much interested in London. But with London still not over Hunter she doesn’t plan on dating anyone. But Bryce has other plans and refuses to take no for an answer. They begin seeing each other and she finally feels like she can trust and possibly love again. And it’s at that time her best friend Sam has returned home from working abroad in China.
Unknown to London, Sam has been in love with her for a long time. Keeping his feelings to himself, he stepped aside so she and Hunter can have a future together. But after her marriage ended he finally decides it is time to tell her how he feels. But when he returns home he finds out that she is dating another man. Is Sam going to keep quiet and step aside again? Or will he finally tell London?
After an emotional journey of putting her past behind her and finding love again, London is blindsided by a phone call. We will have to wait for book 2 in this duet to find out what happens next!
I voluntarily read an advanced reader’s copy.
“The same spellbinding look that beckoned me, revived me, and bled unspoken promises.”
Oh the feels!!! The Author broke my heart, pieced it together, and continued throughout….up, down, all around we went as London attempted to find her footing after her divorce. Warring within herself to make the right choices in love, life, and regarding those she loves, it was a whirlwind of emotions that left me breathless, teary eyed, and yearning for more!! The twists I never saw coming left me glued to my Kindle because I couldn’t stand to miss a moment, as London found herself between an uncertain future and an emotional past…I loved it!! The way it ended took my breath and left me dying for the next!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
“But I knew then that my world would never be the same and I welcomed that belief with unadulterated eagerness. Maybe change wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, after all.”

2.5 Stars? We’ll go with 3.
Oh goodness. I am going through reviews and wondering if I missed something with this one. I have to say that this was almost a DNF for me but I pushed through and the only thing that saved this for me was the last 15-20 percent. It was like, finally we are getting somewhere. I did skim a lot because it seemed like it was so repetitive of the same things and well I got bored.
The males in this book absolutely annoyed me to no end. To me they were nothing more than grown toddlers having a tantrum for most of this book. Can we act like grown men? Or at least act like we care that London has gone through and is still going through some major stuff and she needs support not to be a damn referee? With that said, at the end of the book I was over my hate just a little bit and saw one of them in a little better light and as for the other well I don’t know how I feel. Something almost feels forced or is huge cop out for how he was acting. Although with all the secrets that are sure to come to head in the next book we will see how I feel.
Now let’s talk London. I know she has gone through major life changes and I know she’s hurt and torn but for the love of all things holy how could she not see what was right in front of her for what 15 years? I don’t get it. her back and forth, the jealousy, and the crazy indecision about every little thing drove me absolutely batty. Again, at the end when she got a little back bone I saw a sliver of a character I might just like. The floor she so meticulously built back up during this book just dropped again and I am anxious to see how she handles it. Will she go back to the girl I don’t like so much or will she blossom into someone strong and who truly can handle what life throws at her?
I am looking forward to book 2 to see how this plays out as far as plot and character development. I’m rooting for a better conclusion.
The book’s Prologue has given me some expectations that left me wondering if the book will live up to them.
London Monroe’s not sure how they got into their current situation. You can feel her hurt and disappointment. Her words ring with truth. I can imagine people out there who are or have been in her shoes. Bryce Owen may just be the person to get her out of her funk.
This is a story where a woman has to start her life over again because things didn’t turn out as expected – sometimes we get blindsided by something we didn’t see coming. Besides trying to figure out where her life is going, she’s having to deal with a sick parent. Having taken care of both my own parents, I can identify with her feelings. Someone she’s always been able to count on is Sam Goodwin.
Our author has done a great job of wondering what’s going to come around the next corner. Leaves me no choice but to keep turning the page – after all I have expectations that need to be fulfilled. She gave me something that I certainly didn’t see coming. And then to leave me hanging – that certainly leaves me with no choice but to see where this is going.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
