From USA Today Bestselling Author, Alex Grayson, comes an emotionally captivating love story that rivals time…. Lincoln was my once in a lifetime, my destiny. I was his happily ever after, his kismet. I met him when I was eight, and he saved me from the bullies on the school playground. The next day, he called me his girl. When we were thirteen, we began to look at each other differently. At … me his girl.
When we were thirteen, we began to look at each other differently.
At fourteen, we shared our first kiss.
We were sixteen the first time we made love and promised we’d always be together.
The night before we graduated high-school, he asked me to marry him, and the day before we left for college, I became his wife.
Our first child came when we were just twenty-three. And our second, five years later.
Our future was forevermore written in the stars. We had that indescribable kind of love everyone searches for, but rarely ever find. A love so strong, one lifetime wouldn’t be enough.
His soul was my mate, and mine was his.
Our life was perfect. Until it wasn’t.
Fate brought us together… would it dare tear us apart?
NOTE: This is the second book in the Ever Series. To fully appreciate the impact of Lincoln and Molly’s story, Forevermore should be read first. It is a prequel novella and is available for free.

Gosh, I was not expecting to cry before lunch when I got up this morning, but here we are.
Molly & Lincoln have an unbreakable bond, one that is forevermore.
This story is heart wrenching, romantic, soul shattering stuff.
I won’t say a lot. Nothing was what I thought it would be, and yet was still somehow more.
All the stars.
Even writing the review I was crying. This story pulls at your heartstring, shatters your heart, but then leaves you satisfied. Lincoln and Molly’s love is one we all wish we could have. It transcends time. They really are soul mates. But life sometimes has things in store that make no sense. I felt their every emotion and the angst just about killed me. Through it all though, I could still feel their love and their devotion and knew they would come out on top in the end.
Everlast is unique, emotional, heartbreaking and beautiful. It is the EPIC conclusion to the prequel novella, Forevermore.
As I read this story I felt Lincoln and Molly’s story DEEP in my soul. Their story pulled at my heart strings. I ugly cried ALL the tears and know that this story and these incredible characters will stay with me for a very long time.
Lincoln and Molly share the most beautiful forever kind of love. They meet as young children, they marry as young adults and then life throws them a curveball that no one could have seen coming. My heart was ripped to shreds reading all that these characters face together. It is so very raw and impactful.
From the first to last word, Alex Grayson poured her heart and soul into writing this book. I’ve never read anything like it. The writing is PHENOMENAL and deserves ALL the stars.
*I received an advanced reader copy in exchange of an honest review.
Oh man. That was brutal.
I wasn’t even 1/2 way through when the first tear slid out.
Since then, there were countless more.
Going in I KNEW it would rip my heart out (I just had a feeling), but I didn’t expect to feel it so deeply. I’m still crying now, while typing this review.
Molly and Lincoln’s story was absolutely beautiful, heartbreaking, but so exquisitely beautiful.
Their love, all encompassing- complete. Evermore.
If you don’t mind tearing your soul to pieces, go ahead and read this.
It may have been painful, but I’m so glad I read this book.
It reminds you to cherish the moments you get with your loved ones, because you never know when it may be the last.
It also tells a story of never ending love, soul mates, fate, kismet, and that death is not necessarily the end, but a new beginning.
5 stars is nowhere near enough for this spectacular book.
An amazing back story was well and truly set in Forevermore, the prequel to Everlast, and although it ended in a bit of a cliffhanger I was more than ready to discover the rest of Lincoln and Molly’s story.
Described by the author as ‘not your typical love story’ she debated whether or not to market it as a romance. In my opinion, you can put any fears you have, aside. This is most definitely a story of love.
A story of soul mates, of a love everlasting of a love so pure and precious that any two people would be honoured to experience this.
Everything though comes at a price.
You will certainly need tissues when you go through life with Molly, Lincoln and their families but you will certainly be glad you experienced their everlasting love.
Everlast is the single most heartbreaking book I have ever read. It’s not a romance, but it is a timeless love story that shows the depth of true everlasting love. I cried (and by that I mean big ugly sobs) through at least 75% of this book, and I’m not a crier, but this story spoke to me in ways other books haven’t. I think it’s because Molly and Lincoln’s story could happen to any of us. There was no damsel in distress or rock god fantasy to carry me away. Everlast is about love, just true love and devotion. My heart shattered into millions of tiny pieces every time Molly and Lincoln realized another one of their hopes and dreams would never be. Anyone who has lost someone close to them can relate to that feeling of emptiness when milestones pass that should have included that special someone. Aside from the agonizing emotional rollercoaster, Everlast is beautifully written. I felt every moment of Molly and Lincoln’s happiness and despair. Without spoiling any plot, I’ll just add that the journals woven throughout the plot added a small bit of wonder and optimism. It was just perfect. I truly understand those who couldn’t finish, as I almost had to put it down myself, but I’m so glad I kept reading. If anything positive can come out of their love story it’s that you should always be thankful for what you have in the moment, and not to dwell on what should have been. Easier said than done, but true nonetheless. Their love truly lasted forevermore.
This book is going to tear you up emotionally. This is not your normal romance HEA story and it is nothing what I was expecting it to be. At this point I have no words for this as it is something you have to experience but you have been warned of the emotional impact this story is going to take you on.
Such a beautiful and heart wrenching story! Molly and Lincoln have the love that every woman dreams of. The type of love that is so raw and rare. Alex Grayson did an amazing job writing Molly and Lincoln’s story, hitting every feeling and iliciting every emotion possible. She left me with a book hangover to last a lifetime. No story could possibly compare to this!!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
I met him when I was eight and he save me from the bullies on the school playground. The next day he called me his girl. When we were thirteen we began to look at each other differently. At fourteen, we shared our first kiss. We were sixteen the first time we made love and promised to always cherish each other. If you have read the prequel to this book, Forevermore, then you know that something is going to happen and your heart is going to shatter. You could feel it at the end of that prequel and this is the big book that we have been waiting for. You know this is going to be emotional and beautiful in a way that only a true love story can be. I have read one other book in all these years of reading that really affected me this way. Only with this one I didn’t count the Kleenex. I do not want to give a thing away about this story. It is a thing of beauty and the writing style of Alex Grayson is just amazing and will leave you breathless. This is a must read. Don’t be afraid of it. Just jump in and enjoy the soul cleansing book that is Everlast.
Warning: will need tissues and wine..
Man this book broke me …it was so devastating but so well written that I just couldn’t put it down absolutely beautiful I loved it I hated it I loved it again…
If it is possible to have a love/hate relationship with an author, than this book has done that….I absolutely hate Alex for ripping my dang heart out!!! I knew it was coming after reading Forevermore, but I did not expect this story! My heart is broken. My emotions are shot. The absolute worst book hangover ever!! After crying and screaming that the story couldn’t be what it was, I realized, she wrote an amazing love story for the ages. One that will always stand the test of time. Poignant. Classic. Heart wrenching. Soul searching. True love. Love that will always last. This book is by far the most emotional story I’ve read this year. I couldn’t put it down but I was afraid to get to the end. The emotions were raw and real and absolutely worth the read! Amazing!!
This is a gut wrenching read that will pull on all your heart strings. Sometimes a story doesn’t end with a happily ever after but the characters did have a happy life it just wasn’t as long as everyone wanted them to have. What matters is what happens while you are together and that you make the most of those times.
It’s taking me awhile to write this review because this was an emotionally draining story and I’m not sure I’ve cried so much reading a book but no matter what this book was an incredible read. This story destroyed me, broke me, ripped out my heart and somewhat put it back together, yet a small piece was still missing.
I can’t say much because you have to read this book to understand the journey but be prepared because this journey may be the most heartbreakingly beautiful one you read this year!
First, I would highly recommend reading Forevermore before diving into Everlast.
Second, Everlast made me ugly cry. A lot.
Molly and Lincoln’s love story was so pure and everlasting. Even with the devastation of life and the end that awaits us all, their story was still beautiful and fulfilling. They were the true definition of soul mates.
Heartwrenching, painful, heavy, and deeply emotional, Everlast will stick with me for a long time coming. Exceptionally well written, Alex Grayson reminds you to never take anything for granted. Especially time.
“I lost count years ago of how many times I’ve fallen in love with you.”
My heart is literally broken after reading Everlast. Molly and Lincoln’s love story is beautifully tragic and their love is so pure and everlasting. It is the definition of soulmates and true love.
“Eternity with you wouldn’t be enough for me, Molly. I could be with you in every lifetime there’s ever been, and I’d still want more. There’s not beginning or end to our love. It’s simply always existed, and it always will.”
Lincoln’s love for Molly is gut wrenching and so absolute and Molly’s love for Lincoln is the same. They love each other so deeply and it reaches through the pages and grabs ahold of the reader. You can literally feel every single emotion that this family experiences. The joy, the laughter, the tears, the pain and most of all the love…you will feel it all.
I’m keeping my review short because I don’t want to give any spoilers. While it’s not an easy read and tears were cried, the message of this book is so uplifting and will make you believe in the power of two souls that are meant to be together.
Everlast is a soul searing, gives you so many deep feelings that you will feel it down in your bone, wish I could give it more stars phenomenal read. I’m going to start with the fact that I would highly recommend starting with Forevermore first just so you get get the full impact of who Lincoln and Molly are. Then I’m going to also recommend having quiet space with no interruptions and get comfortable. I would also have some chocolates, tissues and a bottle of your favorite beverage on hand. This book is breaking me, has broken me and left me with completely hung over. Lincoln and Molly may just be the most epically beautiful, feel it in your bones love story I have ever read. Their love is everything and more. I have to say this is one of the book to read for 2021. I loved it so much. Yes I may have yelled at Alex Grayson for putting me through everything she did. But it was just so beautiful. With Lincoln and Molly there just are not enough words out there to express what they did to me. YOU NEED TO READ THIS ONE.
Why do authors do this to me? And why do I love them for it?The more the author breaks me and shred my heart into pieces, the more I fall in love with story. And Alex Grayson did all and then some more in Everlast. This love story is absolutely phenomenal. With emotional overload. With angsty torture. With unique tale of forever love, never ending hope and surreal new beginnings.
I think this story’s plot is less important. More important is the execution and the complex emotions the author will evoke in you. Lincoln and Molly has been together since they were kids. And that’s how they thought their life will go on. Happily married with two kids, they couldn’t have any more perfect. But fate has intervened. And their life is crumbling. They have to face this loss and survive. Amongst this darkness, Molly finds some journals by unknown women stored in their attic. And these journals may reduce their pain of inevitable loss.
I didn’t see this story going in that direction. Honestly. And my hopelessly romantic heart is so happy that it did. That the author planned the story this way. I know I am speaking in riddles but I need you to go blind and feel the impact. Molly and Lincoln’s tragedy broke me so badly. The author portrayed their sweet memories and beautiful days so vividly that when dark times hit, it hit hard. Their love is special. Written in stars. That defies all logic, all barriers and every obstacle. The ending was a very different kind and I absolutely loved that. I am still feeling so raw and devastated but every tear was well spent.
Everlast by Alex Grayson is the reason I read romance. To feel everything too deeply. To experience emotions those cut and heal at the same time.
I reviewed an early copy voluntarily
I have not been this emotionally invested in a book in a long time. Alex Grayson has written a beautiful love story and it wrecked me. But sometimes that’s just what you need.
This love story of Lincoln and Molly continues from Forevermore, where we find out what happened after its cliffhanger. All is well in the Bradshaw home, or so we are lead to believe, what actually happens is a heartbreaking yet heartwarming story of eternal love that will literally have the tears rolling, I just let mine roll.
This book is so much more than a simple steamy romance, it is still filled with steam but the raw emotion that is portrayed with these two characters is almost overwhelming, but in a fantastically beautiful way. Their connection is what dreams are made of.
Alex Grayson has set the bar pretty high with this one, and this story is going to stick with me for a long time. I will just say this, read this book, you will need a box and a half of tissue but it will be worth it.
I first need to point out, please don’t pick this book up without reading the prequel novella, Forevermore because this emotion read picks up right where that finished.
The other thing I need to say is, I’m not writing a review full of spoilers because I believe you need to read this amazing, bittersweet romance first hand with no preconceived ideas. So all I’m going to write is how this hook made me feel and I hope that’s enough to urge you to pick these two books up.
Have you ever read a book where you want to punch someone , where you find yourself in a love/hate relationship with the author, well Everlast is that book for me. This is a story with all the feels and it touched me on so many levels , I cried or more importantly sobbed and I mean real ugly tears, I wanted to punch someone and at times I was sure I was going to throw my kindle at the wall, my heart was broken and I was worried how Lincoln and Molly’s story was going to end.
Emotional roller coaster is really not strong enough for the emotions I felt, this was a journey like no other and I felt every feeling along with the characters and that’s a sure sign you are reading a very special romance, one that stays with you long after the final words have been read. Everlast is a beautifully written, captivating love story that will certainly stay with me for a very long time.
Wonderful job Ms Grayson
Such a heart rendering and poignant story! Heartache can’t even describe how I feel right now and yet I’m soothed by the ending and left with so many thoughts of “what if”. I’m contemplating so many thoughts about the afterlife and how creatively Alex Grayson added to my own wondering. This is a true love and “forevermore” soulmate story in every sense of the word, including the tears it drew from deep within me. The Everlast-ing effects of this story are etched in my heart and soul forever!
