From USA Today Bestselling Author, Alex Grayson, comes an emotionally captivating love story that rivals time…. Lincoln was my once in a lifetime, my destiny. I was his happily ever after, his kismet. I met him when I was eight, and he saved me from the bullies on the school playground. The next day, he called me his girl. When we were thirteen, we began to look at each other differently. At … me his girl.
When we were thirteen, we began to look at each other differently.
At fourteen, we shared our first kiss.
We were sixteen the first time we made love and promised we’d always be together.
The night before we graduated high-school, he asked me to marry him, and the day before we left for college, I became his wife.
Our first child came when we were just twenty-three. And our second, five years later.
Our future was forevermore written in the stars. We had that indescribable kind of love everyone searches for, but rarely ever find. A love so strong, one lifetime wouldn’t be enough.
His soul was my mate, and mine was his.
Our life was perfect. Until it wasn’t.
Fate brought us together… would it dare tear us apart?
NOTE: This is the second book in the Ever Series. To fully appreciate the impact of Lincoln and Molly’s story, Forevermore should be read first. It is a prequel novella and is available for free.

REVIEW: 6 STARS
“We might make it through this, but we’ll never be whole again.”
First and foremost, there is a warning at the beginning of this book specifically stating this isn’t a normal romance, but it’s Molly and Lincoln’s love story – and so after reading it, I agree with her labeling it as a romance. It will upset many, but this was one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read and will maintain that forever and always. Well……Forevermore.
I don’t think I can adequately explain how beautiful this love story of Molly and Lincoln’s was. It was moving and intimate, but it was intense with a quite painful reality attached to it.
Having said all that, I am a wreck. It is not often I hand out a SIX STAR review, and I can probably count on one hand how many I’ve given. I find it’s usually the super emotional ones that make me feel something beyond my normal perceived emotional limitations – an author that’s gone out of a comfort zone of sorts and told the really hard story. Because, I really don’t ever cry while reading a book. A few have hit me on that emotional level – I admit, but usually it’s just tears – not outright, audible crying. This book had me hiccuping and crying and wiping my tears for 75% of the book. I even cried when I called my friend to tell her exactly how beautiful it was….but I cried practically the whole damn time I was reading it. You guys, this book broke me. It honestly broke me. But I loved it and couldn’t walk away from it. But man, it broke me…
“I figured if there ever was a time to wish upon a star, now is the time.”
I felt like a million possibilities were running through my head with every potential outcome while I was reading this. This was one of those stories that will irrevocably twist my heart and I will be thinking about it for a very long time. This one will sit on my shelf signed – mark my words. It will also go down as one of my favorites. I know that I will be following Alex Grayson a little more closely now because I loved her voice in this one. I always want more heartrending stories like this and she seems to have a strength in spades for heartfelt love.
The possibilities we find ourselves clinging to in our darkest, most desperate hours, while they may sound crazy, they sure seem to be a lifeline for positivity sometimes. The love between Molly and Lincoln definitely spanned generations and their thought processes were quite interesting / intriguing to look in on. I mean, what’s the real possibility of their internal speculation being probable? Plausible? It was neat to ponder, I won’t lie. And what exactly is fate? I believe Molly and Lincoln are the true definition of just that. Because, my gosh – it still hurts, but they were everything I needed in a new couple from a new-to-me author. The ability to sink into this book and ignore the outside world for the little time I get to read daily, this one filled me with all the reasons as to why I love to read. Emotional. Painful. Heartfelt. Real-life. It engaged my emotional self on every level while I read it. I’m still reeling, but I’m also smiling.
They are times I wish I met my husband when we were younger…. high school sweethearts, something along those lines. Molly and Lincoln’s life long love is exactly how our love is – just a shorter version, per se. I oftentimes compare book boyfriends to my husband because, well, he’s literally perfect in my eyes. So when I come across a love, or a man that loves his woman just as deeply (never mind the fact that an author can make me feel my love on their pages), it puts the book on a whole new emotional level for me. This one really hit me square in the jaw. My heart took a beating with this one….I’m not sure I’ll recover from it anytime soon. Gosh, my heart hurts. It physically aches. This entire story is a powerful lesson in taking life one day at a time and enjoying it to the fullest. It’s about looking for joy in every little thing you do.
I found myself questioning this: I don’t know how Grayson wrote this. I can only imagine she was curled up in the fetal position with about 40 boxes of tissues spread around her, completely used up. I’m bawling just reading it. I can’t imagine living it, breathing it, pouring it out on the pages for everyone to read – let alone write it. Talk about laying your soul bare for others to see.
This book is the written manual for the purest of true loves….and I will never be the same again.
My poor heart.
“There’s no beginning or end to our love. It’s simply always existed, and it always will.”

GIVEAWAY ON MY BLOG PAGE
Alex Grayson stepped out of the box on this one, and I am so grateful she did. Let me be clear: Alex is certainly a versatile writer – no one-trick pony there, , but this love story is one that will draw you in forever, because she didn’t play to the normal romance trope. She gave you characters you actually feel as if you’re growing up with.
You feel their love when it’s innocent as best friends. Lincoln comes to Molly’s rescue in grade school, when a couple of the ‘popular’ boys disrespect her because she’s not in the “clique.” Molly walks to the beat of her own drum, and Lincoln clearly digs that.
Fast forward, and their friendship evolves as they go into their teenage years, and the devotion never wanes. They each explore their individual career dreams, while supporting one another in their endeavors. I love their chemistry; I love their devotion, and I love their words.
No spoilers here, I want you to enjoy every chapter the way it should be enjoyed. It’s fresh, it’s emotional, it will bring laughter and tears. Go for it!
So when I read Forevermore The novella before this book. I knew, I just knew that this book was going to kill me. And just as if I was reading a journal of a past life my premonition came true. When I first opened the book and read the note from the author, where some might think this book is not a romance, well I am here to say they would be wrong. This is an epic romance of two souls connected beyond time, beyond anything and keep connecting over and over falling in love with the first flicker of a connection or as Lincoln called it the firefly flicker recognition. A love that is all consuming yet all that would ever be needed, because once your soul has mated like geese they mate for life. So yes this is a romance filled with light, passion and heat. It is also filled with life growth and love. Everlast is pure and beautiful and as my kindle died and I ran for my iPad to finish. As I sit here with puffy eyes and a heart mourning Lincoln and Molly, after having cried my eyes out. I am happy. Happy that I finished this book at 2:30 in the morning and got to meet these amazing characters that not only lived in Alex Grayson’s imagination, but will forevermore live in my heart. A Epic ROMANCE
Everlast by Alex Grayson Review
Rating:
Everlast was a book that I didn’t necessarily enjoy while reading. When I finished it, though… all the emotions came. This is one of those books that gives you all the feels. There’s steam, angst, heartbreak, death, discovery…
In Forevermore, you learn that Lincoln enjoys being creative and designs covers on journals for Molly. That carries over into Everlast. Molly discovers very old journals in their attic and delves into them. That’s a large part of why I didn’t enjoy the book while reading it because the extra storylines with the journals. I just felt like all of that could’ve been summed up and I didn’t necessarily need to read about it. In the end, it’s explained why all of that is included, but personally, I just felt that it took away from Molly and Lincoln’s story a little bit.
With the way that Forevermore ended, I was expecting Everlast to pick right up from there, which it didn’t. Barely anything was said about that situation, which was a bit shocking.
In the end, though, Alex Grayson ripped my heart out with Everlast. Like I said, the book has a lot of “feels” in it, but probably the biggest one is heartbreak. My heart definitely shattered for Molly and Lincoln.
The Ever Series by author Alex Grayson is such a heartfelt and soul-searing series that takes you on a phenomenal journey of an endearing true love which will give you all of the feels!
In my review of Forevermore I said “The perfect introduction of Molly & Lincoln journey” Their growth. Their Love. And that was obviously before I even read this book. I’ll say this “Forevermore (book 1) is now in my eyes more perfect than ever”
Quote ~ “You steal my heart every time I look at you, Molly.”
Going into book 2 I was already 1000% invested in their relationship. As if I’d grown right along with them and took their journey by their side. I felt what they felt, smiled with the good times and cried during their low times. This love was epic and beautiful as can be but life happens and sometimes it’s not pretty.
~ It’s strange, but it was like my soul recognized yours.” ~
This book has such powerful emotions that page after page the feels come at you.
The most purest love within the pages.
It takes a special type of writer to evoke these many feelings. My heart smiled, broke and cried yet I couldn’t get enough. And when I put my ereader down Molly and Lincoln didn’t stay behind. They’re with me Forevermore
This is an Unforgettable and Inspiring love story. I highlighted many many quotes I can easily turn to and reflect on. Food for thought.
When I started this book, I had absolutely no idea what a roller coaster of emotions I was in for. Even after reading the prequel novella, I wasn’t ready. It is one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read. Lincoln and Molly are everything we should aspire to be. Their story is timeless.
What made this story so impactful for me was the reality of everything that they went through. You felt their love, their happiness, the fear and uncertainty and then the dam broke about 75% in and you felt every ounce of heartbreak that these two felt. I have never cried so hard while reading a book. When I say this is one of most beautiful stories I have ever read, I mean that with everything I have Alex Grayson pulled emotions out of me that I’m not sure I was even ready for. This book made me appreciate the small things in my marriage a little more, smile at my husband a little more, and never ever take for granted the love that we have. Their entire family made me smile. They truly had an idealistic fairy tale life.
When I closed my kindle the tears didn’t stop, and then I started thinking. What if Lincoln and Molly really are true examples of fate and serendipity? We always wonders what happens “after”, did they give us our answer? It certainly is thought provoking.
While this is made clear it is not your typical romance, it’s the best love story I’ve ever read.this one will stay with me for a long time.
This is the continued story of Lincoln and Molly, and what a story it is.
I have to say it was unexpected because, though I expected difficulties and life struggles from the ending of the previous installment, I never expected such an emotional rollercoaster nor the ultimate outcome we were given.
The story is definitely full of emotion, heartfelt and captivating, but it was told in painstaking detail and I loved must of it, but not all of it. Without giving anything out, this is a tale of never ending love, the kind that goes past time and distance and I don’t think it needed some embellishments or for some ongoing facts to be constantly repeated to the reader.
If you believe in soulmates and true love, the Ever series is for you, but be sure to have a box of tissues nearby if, like me, you happen to be a crier.
3.5 stars
Lincoln and Molly’s story continue in this book. This was a sweet and moving story and you might need tissues handy if you cry easily. While I liked the book and enjoyed the story there were times that I felt it moved slow and I found myself skimming. It was a good story and to be able to have a love like that would be something.
This story will have you in tears or at the minimum leave you emotionally wrecked. The story is well written and heartfelt. Lincoln and Molly had everything going for them. A good life with Great kids and a love that still sizzled after 17 years of marriage. Business is looking up and everything seems to being going well until it isn’t. Life is not always fair. We play the hand you are dealt. There is no preparation and strength is needed. As the author says “this is not your typical romance”. It’s not but the love between Lincoln and Molly gives plenty of romantic vibes.
We see a different side to Alex’s writing in Everlast; this time we are met with complete and utter heartache. Have a box of tissues at the ready as this story will leave you with a broken heart and an emotional wreck. These kinds of stories leave such an imprint on my soul.
Molly and Lincoln’s story is a heart-warming coming of age romance. It started out when they were young, a mere 8 years old they felt the connection and were drawn to each other. Friends to lovers to soulmates. A love that just grew with each passing year. That was until tragedy struck. Even then their love and respect for each other continued to grow. Their love was sweet, encumbering even. Never have two people been so right for each other.
The ending is bittersweet but appealed to my romantic heart that soulmates are ‘forevermore’. If you love a romance read with all the feels then this book will definitely appeal.
Imagine finding your soulmate at a very young age. I’m talking at 5 and 8. Growing up together, discovering who you are singly, and as a couple. Learning to trust and emphatically; fall in love.
The day that Lincoln protected Molly on the playground, he knew his life would never be the same. That chance meeting was without a doubt; kismet. She belonged to him and he belonged to her. Their love only grew by leaps and bounds throughout the years.
They created a beautiful life together, until tragedy strikes. Their love only continued to shine, no matter how much they both hurt. This story is beautifully written and even though my heart is ripped into shreds; I feel at peace. The way that Alex Grayson gave us all closure is so creative. Her writing exquisite, her talent above many. The research and background she had to do shows. This is an author that I will, without a shadow of a doubt read without glancing at the synopsis first. Be sure to read Forevermore and Everlast. Molly and Lincoln will remain in my heart for years to come.
Lincoln and Molly are happily married when Everlast begins. Their bond is strong and everlasting. Then something comes along to test that bond, and I was along for the ride as they broke my heart into a million tiny little pieces. Will that bond stay strong or will it be severed when life becomes too tragic to bear?
Be forewarned – Everlast is emotional and heartwrenching and you’ll need a box or two of tissue while you read. But honestly, though I shed a thousand tears, I loved Everlast. It’s the timeless kind of love story, the kind of any story that stays with you for a long, long time. Thank you Alex for this beautiful tearjerker.
Everlast picks up eight years after Forevermore left off. I had ideas of what I thought might happen but I wasn’t even close. Molly and Lincoln met when they were kids. They were the best of friends before coming a couple. They grew up, got married, and had kids. I loved that their love felt so real. They were living their best life until life happened. Ugh. This book was such an emotional ride. It felt very realistic to me. Alex Grayson is a very talented writer who definitely made me “feel” while reading this story.
If I thought forevermore was awesome, this definitely surpassed it! I absolutely loved it! Molly and Lincoln went through hell in this book and I’m so glad it ended the way it did! I was left floundering at the end of forevermore but this totally fixed it! I needed a few days after reading this to let my thoughts settle. If you are looking an amazing angsty read I encourage you to pick this up. You won’t regret it.
Everlast is my new favorite book ever. An epic love story that span the lives of Molly and Lincoln. This book has all the feels, I just wanted to reach into the book and give everyone a big hug. This is a really emotional story so have a box of tissues handy, you might even need two. Definitely a 10 star read in my eyes. Highly recommended.
My heart was torn to shreds with this story.
It was emotional and points I had to stop and take a breather.
Yes Ms. Grayson gutted me but she also gave me a beautiful love story.
The love that’s between Lincoln and Molly is truly remarkable.
Their connection is unbreakable and nothing can destroy what they have.
Their love is what most people aspire to achieve even a fraction of.
Molly and Lincoln have something that is pure beautiful and so inspiring.
It’s what most of us want for ourselves and our children.
And their children definitely have the best example of what true unselfish love looks like.
I loved the commitment and bond families and friends of this incredible couple all have.
It was great getting to read a story of love and honor that didn’t revolve around things like drugs or abuse.
Just a beautiful love story that is timeless and precious.
Molly and Lincoln’s story is amazing! This is one of those story’s that you can feel in your soul. Be sure to read the free prequel novella first to get the full story.
To say Everlast is a tear-jerker would be to massively undersell the effect this book will have on your emotions. I’m a weeper, I admit it. I cry during books all the time, and maybe not even when the author has that intent. This one is meant to make you feel every emotion known to man, and boy it delivers. I don’t think I’ve ever had such an emotional response to a book, ever. I actually finished this one and didn’t know how to feel right off. I loved Molly and Lincoln and their little family. I loved their soulmate connection. It was beautiful and wonderful and crushing and traumatic and hopeful…so yes. I’m a puddle of emotions, and you will be too.
Molly and Lincoln have truly captured my heart in every way imaginable. Their journey was mesmerising, beautiful and tragically heart breaking at the same time. You’ll feel every emotion bleed from the pages as you read, I know I did.
Everlast was a thought provoking timeless love story where there are no limits. Sometimes a love is so strong, it’s endless.
Reading and feeling the epic love story between Molly and Lincoln took my breath away. It physically hurt at times and I cried my eyes out more than once. But it also made me laugh, smile and swoon, every girl deserves a Lincoln.
This is a story that everyone needs to experience, cherish and talk about.
It’s a story I will remember fondly, Forever and More.
