A dark twist on faeries. For Shade, a chance meeting with a powerful Teleen Faery warrior who wields electrical currents and blue fires along his skin, has her joining him on a treacherous mission for the good Seelie Faerie Court across the land of Faerie.
Magic and malice abound and nothing is what it really seems to be.
The story is very entertaining but I hated the weak and foolish heroine. I know she’s a teenager but I couldn’t stomach her weakly personality.
Great series!
slow start … hard to get hooked on the characters
Good characters. Enjoyed the books alot
Could not finish it.
Blah
Book turned out to be written for a younger audience.
I just couldn’t get into it. I might try it again later…..
Perhaps this is a book meant for younger readers? I found the characters one dimensional, with little meat. The word “snickered” was overused to the point of being annoying. The basic story line was fun.
With the plot and characters this could have been a good book, but there just wasn’t enough of anything. For example, the battle “scenes” were typically less than a paragraph long. It made things seem very unrealistic.
Fun read
Fun to read and fast paced
Loved it! Very original!
Not my type of book. Didn’t read it.
ended up i needed the whole series
Extremely interesting. Unusual. Definitely want more!
Couldn’t even make it through 2 chapters. The characters were uninteresting. May work for a younger audience that the simplistic writing might appeal to.
Poorly written and not worth your time
I didn’t care that much for it. The story was alright but the “world” was poorly developed and much of it just wasn’t appealing. it felt like the author threw in elements that weren’t believable or didn’t fit the world just for the sake of convenience rather than spend time developing something appropriate. If it was surprising that modern …
I found this book intriguing and couldn’t put the book down.
