Ever Faithful by Carolyne Aarsen
Family Promises Series Book Four
Amy Danyluk had been in love with the boy next door most of her young life. The boy that treated her like a pesky little sister. The boy who couldn’t wait to move off his parents’ ranch. The boy that came home with a new girlfriend when he came back for a visit. So, now as a grown woman, Amy has moved on. She was engaged to Tim. A stable, loving man.
Paul Henderson had reached all the goals he ever went after. Rising from the man who did the grunt work to the man in the office on the fifteenth-floor. Sitting behind a fancy desk in a suit and lots of paperwork. And yet, he was empty until he went back to the ranch for little Amy’s engagement party.
Another heartwarming story in this series. This story is a bit different as the characters aren’t free to be with each other. Amy had chased Paul, and he’d never let her catch him. And now, she had made a promise to another man. And because of her past…she was determined to be ever faithful in all things.

Ever Faithful by Carolyne Aarsen is a sweet, wonderful story that will leave you with emotions and love for the characters. Amy has always had a crush on Paul, her neighbor. However, Amy is engaged to Tim. Amy lives on her ranch with her father and brother and cannot wait to marry Tim and have him move into the ranch. Tim has other ideas; he want to live in a big city with Amy and have her sell the ranch and animals.
Will Amy be happy living in a big city? Will Tim be able to live on the ranch? How does Paul fit into this mix?
This is a story that is emotional, inspirational and heartwarming as the story unfolds and seeing Amy realize what is important in life and turning problems over to God.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and I always review every book that I read. I highly recommend this book.
This was a fantastic book. Amy had a life-long crush on her neighbor, but he had left town without sharing her feelings. Amy has moved on and is engaged to the “perfect” man. Amy is working to keep her father’s farm a float. Paul watches her struggle with all that she has to do and sees how Amy’s fiance is treating Amy. Paul is drawn to Amy and her character. Since being back at home, Paul has been able to slow down and find true peace with God. I loved reading this book about finding true love. Amy remains loyal to her fiance, but struggles when her fiance makes major decisions without discussing them with her. Overall, this was a great story that I didn’t want to end. I would recommend this book to those that love sweet, clean, inspirational romances.
I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I have loved every book in this series and Ever Faithful was a fitting grand finale! This story featured handsome and talented Paul who left the family farm in search of something better–in fact, he was always on the search for something better and nothing ever seemed to satisfy him. His neighbor from the farm next door, Amy, had made no secret of her major crush on him growing up and wrote him a love note saying that she would always love him. But she eventually was crushed by Paul’s treating her like a little sister and his long stream of beautiful girlfriends so when Tim proposed marriage to her, she liked his willingness to make a commitment and she accepted. When Paul realized that Amy was engaged, he was grieved by the loss of her pure and freely given affection and he recognized that he had always loved her but took her for granted. It was a major wake up call for him in every area of his life. Meanwhile Amy was beginning to see that Tim was a good guy but he was not a good fit for her–but she had promised to marry him and she was loathe to break a promise. This story deals with the issues of the fickleness of our hearts, fidelity, forgiveness, and faith–and it brings the readers closer to the only One who was, is, and every will be completely faithful. This is a page turner and a sigh-worthy romance with lots of wisdom to impart. I loved it! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my honest and voluntary review.
A story of forgiveness and seeking the best for others as well as ourselves. Amy and Paul have been friends for years. What happens when he sees her as more than just a friend? They both have someone else in their lives so how can they possibly end up together? The author did a good job of getting these two together.
Gradually throughout this series, Rockyview has become the home to families, friends, parents and grandparents. It’s a busy place when love is in the air, ranches are sold, rings are on fingers and parents need help on the home-places. Faith is at the forefront of all decisions and trust is the focal point of relationships. Tim loves Amy, Alanna wants Rick and Mama has been gone from her family for fifteen years. There are prayers for answers that reached into my heart and I had tears as solutions were found. Thanks for this wonderful and emotional story-line. I appreciate the author giving me an ARC to enjoy.
I enjoyed Amy’s love for her family ranch. But, through most of the book I was fussing at her for her dialogue of she wasn’t going to be like her Mother and brake off her engagement to Tim. Even though it was as plaIn as the nose on her face, he was a city boy and she loved the land. I’m not going to spoil anything, just note you will be upset with her. I loved her faith and strength, even in all the problems she faced. If you like inspiring stories, you will like ‘Ever Faithful’. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Carolyne Aarsen, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is a beautiful love story of Amy and Paul and is book 4 in the Family Promises series. Each book in the series is a standalone with a HEA ending. Amy had a crush on Paul as a teenager but they never dated because he thought of her as a sister. After Paul left his family’s ranch after high school to begin his career, Amy tried to forget Paul by getting engaged to a local banker, Tim. When Paul came home for Amy and Tim’s engagement party, he finally realized that Amy was the only girl he ever loved. Did Amy ever marry Tim or did she realize that Paul was who she really loved? You will have to read the book to find out who Amy ends up with. I highly recommend this book as a clean romance.
This book is now my favorite in the series! The story and the characters really touched my heart. I liked that faith and finding faith again were so important to the story. It was also about healing the heart and forgiveness. I thought it was so special that Amy got to finally have a relationship with her mom after all the years and at a time when she really needed her mom and closure. I also liked how Paul’s character grew, changed, and realized what was most important in life. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
