I think I found a new author to watch. I agree with other reviews that this could be a Hallmark or lifetime movie. I was drawn to each character and each was given a story. Anastasia is different than other photographers she has a talent. Jean is a welder with a daughter named JP loved the roller coaster ride of all the characters did not like jul ee in the start but don’t want to spoil reading for others. If you want intreaging this is a great one
Great introduction to a new to me author! The author is so descriptive you feel like you’re there. It’s a great story about family, love and going home. It holds your attention so much that you don’t want to put it down until you’re done.
Love this book!!!! From the very beginning I was captured with the first meeting between JP and Anastasia. I never imaged what was coming next in the story. So many twists and turns between the family, friends and those that are in love or will fall in love. The characters are wonderful, the story leads the reader into the lives of those living in de’ la Marsh, Louisiana. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Fj Roberts, I think you are a very talented writer and thank you for writing this book.
A great book. Great setting and very well written. I enjoyed the characters and the story. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
An interesting and magical story full of love, loss and second chances. The story wasn’t bad I did have a little bit of trouble really getting into the story and the characters though.
An electrifying story of loss, healing, forgiveness and love. Anastasia’s life is forever changed because of a childhood accident. Her struggles and triumphs play out beautifully with a backdrop of Louisiana culture and family traditions. Although confusing at times I became engrossed in the emotions of all the characters and didn’t want the book to end. An amazing read-I highly recommend it!
When I first started reading this book it was one that I thought was unique and different from the typical romance books you find today.
However, after finishing the book, I have to say while it’s still unique it’s also very difficult to keep up with what is happening and why. I don’t know if it’s the writers style or maybe my focus wasn’t 100% into reading the book, but I found myself constantly having to go back and re-read pages or chapters because I felt I had missed something…but alas that wasn’t always the case.
There were times I didn’t understand why the characters were blowing things out of proportion, like when Jean didn’t immediately tell Anastasia who he was. Or why did Ju’lee’s friend from high school try to fully blind Anastasia at a cookout? These were a few instances that I was struggling to understand what was happening and why.
Just reading but an easy book to read!! Will write a full review when done!
This is an incredible story. Anastasia is injured as a child and it totally changes her world. Her older sister becomes a hateful harpy to her sister. I was ready to be done with Jeu’lee by halfway through the book. I loved the electricity between the couples. Everyone should read this author’s work.
