Lady Delilah felt she had no choices. Her manipulative abusive mother only looked out for herself and now that Delilah had come of age she was going to marry her off for her gain.
Marrock Palmer, the Duke of Wolfton had also endured an unhappy life too and had to go to extremes to protect his sister from his father. He was almost beyond living with his decision
But it seems these two damanged souls were fated to come together. If only they can heal each other and find love.
A story of possibilities even in the face of such unhappiness that will in the end bring a smile to your face and a warm feeling in your heart..

Marrok and Delilah both have painful pasts and they find each other at the perfect time. Their story is filled with drama, angst, heartache, pain and emotional twists that kept me interested from the first page until the last. I really felt for Marrok and Delilah and everything these two went through but it just made their beautiful HEA that much better.
The story moved too quickly and there was no time for deeper feelings or details to be revealed. The overall story of a retelling of a fairy tale makes sense. This did not flow smoothly. It felt disjointed and rushed. I am glad that Delilah and Merrok were able to get over first impressions and were able to get to know the real person inside of themselves. I am happy that things worked out for Delilah, Merrok and even Delilah’s younger sister Mirabella. Also, I am glad that their demented mother was treated as she deserved.
Lady Delilah and her sister live with their mother whose only interest is herself. She made sure that Marrok would not wish to marry her by acting like her mother. But fate has other ideas for them. I liked these characters. She is strong, determined and has learned to do for herself. He is a kind and caring man weighed down with the guilt of his father’s death. Circumstances bring them together and their attraction and love lead to the happily ever after we all want for them. Pleasant read with no sex and no mysteries to solve.

Lady Delilah Everly had a very difficult upbringing with her mother’s goal to move up in society at any cost. She had gone through two husbands already, both dying in a similar manner and making Delilah suspect Lady Penelope had helped both along. She was abusive to her children quite often and thought nothing of smacking them or taking a cane to them. Money was tight, and her mother freely used them as servants for herself. Lady Penelope never let her hands get dirty with any kind of work. Only the cook remained and, without her, they would have all starved. But she was very old and may not last much longer.
Now that Delilah has turned 16, her mother has plans for how to use her to her own benefit. But Delilah escapes rather than submit to a match with a rich old lecher who would be required to support her mother. This was the best move she could have made, as her path crosses Marrok Palmer’s path – led by Fate perhaps?
Marrok is the new duke of Wolfton. His father was not a good man, and Marrok was forced to take his father’s life in order to protect his sister. He can’t seem to forgive himself for what he had to do and suffers. As Marrok and Delilah both travel, an opportunity is presented. Will there be a future in the making if these two damaged people can find and heal each other? Can they learn to trust and accept a bit of happiness and love in their lives?
I really enjoyed this book. Both Marrok and Delilah had such pain and tragedy to deal with that made it difficult to open their hearts. Fortunately, their paths brought them together to give them a chance to find love and happiness with each other. It brought forth a great deal of emotion in the reader and made this a story that would not soon be forgotten.
The fourth book in the Ever Beloved series a short quick story to read. This is Lady Delilah Everly and
Marrok Palmer, the Duke of Wolfton’s story. Both are travelling for different reasons and meet and fall in love. I enjoyed reading their story. What a Mother Delilah had, I am glad she got what she deserved. I hope there will be more books in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was emotionally charged, to say the least. I cannot describe just how much I loved it. It was packed full of love and romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
A wonderful escape.
Lately, I have been reading some rather dark and intense work Ms. Brower book was like a cool drink of water so refreshing I really needed it. This truly heartfelt story is about two souls who have been hurt yet with all the pain there is a touch of forgiveness. Sometimes finding your true love is a matter of trust and knowing when to forgive them and yourself. Beautifully written plot it was a wonderful escape on this Monday afternoon. I highly recommend! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I really enjoyed this book. I felt very badly for both Marrok and Delilah. Their painful histories caused them to have heavy baggage, heavy armor and heavy hearts. The story was enjoyable and I loved how fate seemed to play such a big role in bringing these two together. In my opinion they made a great couple and I was thrilled they finally got some happiness. This is my voluntary, honest review.
Having previously met Delilah in previous books I was skeptical as to my being able to see her as a match for Marrock who I adore. The story is full of twist and turns, pain and heartache and self Forgiveness. I especially loved the ending as I am always happy when the bad guy or woman in this case gets what they deserve
Eternally My Duke is a nice easy read with wonderful characters and a great story of healing and forgiveness.
