NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A luminous novel exploring a woman’s desire to abandon the endless obligations of work and marriage—and the idea that the most passionate romance can be found with the person you know best. From the author of Not My Daughter comes the story of Emily Aulenbach, an idealistic young lawyer who once dreamed of representing victims of corporate abuse. Instead, she now spends … corporate abuse. Instead, she now spends her days in a cubicle arguing victims of corporate greed out of their rightful claims.
And it isn’t only work. It’s her sister, her friends, even her husband, Tim, with whom she doesn’t connect the way she used to. She doesn’t connect to much in her life, period, with the exception of three things—her computer, her BlackBerry, and her watch. One day, she snaps. Without telling anyone where she is going, she heads north to Bell Valley, New Hampshire, the small town where she spent a life-altering summer during her college years. There, she will set out to forge new relationships with lovers, long-lost friends and the person she once wanted to become.

I’m sure I reviewed this already – it was an inspirational story about those who are stuck in jobs they hate and break away from the robotic existence they were living. Good characters and was sorry when it was over.
Really hits home with our over-scheduled lifestyles these days.
Very enjoyable to read- couldn’t put it down
Love reading any book Barbara Delinsky this one was even better than her last. Have recommended this book to all my friends.
Delinsky always writes a good book. Try others by her as well.
I always enjoy the characters and plot twists of this author.
Really enjoyed this book. Was hooked from the very first chapter. While the main characters search for their centers, all supporting characters have their own story to tell. Each story adds to understanding the whole.
Staying up way to late at night because I can’t put it down.
Good read. Went fast.
Love Barbara Delinsky books!
Not up to her usual level. I found the heroine to be dreary to the point I wanted her to shut up and just get on with things.
Very enjoyable. Enjoyed the characters, setting and storyline.
Good book, well written with realistic characters.
I love all of Barbara Delinsky’s later books.
Enjoyable read. Good character development. A good summer beach book.
I enjoyed this book. Many will be able to relate to the main character and what she is feeling.
One of Delinksy’s best. I found the mix of intrigue and wonderful characters to be very compelling. I highly recommend this book and any others by this wonderful author.
So clunky and poorly written. I couldn’t finish it.
Just so -so
Good light summer read!
