NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • A luminous novel exploring a woman’s desire to abandon the endless obligations of work and marriage—and the idea that the most passionate romance can be found with the person you know best. From the author of Not My Daughter comes the story of Emily Aulenbach, an idealistic young lawyer who once dreamed of representing victims of corporate abuse. Instead, she now spends … corporate abuse. Instead, she now spends her days in a cubicle arguing victims of corporate greed out of their rightful claims.
And it isn’t only work. It’s her sister, her friends, even her husband, Tim, with whom she doesn’t connect the way she used to. She doesn’t connect to much in her life, period, with the exception of three things—her computer, her BlackBerry, and her watch. One day, she snaps. Without telling anyone where she is going, she heads north to Bell Valley, New Hampshire, the small town where she spent a life-altering summer during her college years. There, she will set out to forge new relationships with lovers, long-lost friends and the person she once wanted to become.

Very good
I loved every page.
I love, love, love all of her books and can’t wait to read A Week at the Shore!
Haven’t read a Barbara Delinsky book since Sweet Dalt Air- I loved it!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Well developed relatable characters, lovely setting and interesting story line.
She is one of my favorite authors. I highly recommend all of her books
One of my favorite authors.
Was not a typical happy ever after book. Wasn’t certain until the end if it would have a happy ending.
It just wasn’t my cup of tea. Felt like it was a 100 page book stretched to 300 pages. I felt no empathy with the characters.
I read the book and enjoyed it. It was not one of my favorite Delinsky novels.
Big city life vs. the slower life, slow wins in my life…
I enjoyed it. Pretty light reading. Great for a summer read.
I enjoyed this audio book. The narrator was nice to listen to and the story line was good.
Good going to bed reading. Not to heavy
love Barbara Delinsky’s books
A wonderful story, as Barbara Delinsky’s books always are. I had a hard time putting it down and enjoyed it immensely!!!
Such a great storyline and perfect ending. I would highly recommend it.
I liked how her lingering love was visited while true love won out. And that true friendship lasts even with absence. It was a great book
This book was a well written book with believable characters. I did not particularly like this book, mostly because Emily is so much different from me. I could never run away like Emily did. I would never make my mother and father and husband worry about my safety and where I am. Braver people just might really enjoy the book.
Good read
