Get the novel—nearly 120,000 words—at a special pre-order price of just 99¢ through August 14th!___As an adamant opponent of Terran settlement on the planet Jekh, Owen McGarry made his family name synonymous with “traitor” on Earth. Lobbyists standing to profit from off-world colonization hinted that the Jekhans were preparing to … were preparing to declare war. Nearly twenty years after Owen’s supposed death, his granddaughter Courtney wants to learn the truth—even if she has to travel to the far-flung colony to do it.
Court soon learns that not only was her grandfather right about the Jekhans, but that conditions on their world are far more hostile than she feared. Terran forces decimated the population of the resident human-alien hybrids, and the people who remain seem to be all out of fight. That is, except for the pair of men Court finds hiding in her basement.
Fugitives Murki and Trigrian see a future in Court. On a planet where so few women remain, she has the potential to be the mate the lovers need. And more, she could become the advocate for their people that her grandfather didn’t get the chance to be.
When the corrupt local government seeks to punish Court’s friends and family for her actions, she has no choice but to make a stand. If it takes a riot to make the people on Earth see that they were misled about Jekh, she’s more than willing to start one. After all, her reputation couldn’t possibly get any worse.

This book wasn’t what I expected. Just the same it was very entertaining and I enjoyed it a lot it held my attention from beginning to end. It’s also jam packed with lots of action and suspense even though I was expecting Murk being dominate of the trio and him being the arrogant alpha male that he is he chooses to stay back from the fighting when all the chaos broke loose. Who surprise me the most was Trig although he was the quietest and the submissive of the trio ended up being the heroic fighter who step up to plate when all bell broke loose Overall the sexually component was secondary to the relationship between Murk, Courtney, and Trig and it still ended up being steamy and hot I can’t wait to see what going to happen next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Loved it
Great story! Loved the world building. Great characters. Courtney McGarry, is a petite, smart and tough cop heading to a Tarren colony as a police officer. The place her grandfather lost his life advocating for the native Jakh people, a human hybrid race. On Jekh, women are few, and are in high demand. Trig and Murki are Jekh friends and lovers, dying from a genetic flaw, their only hope of survival is a synthetic hormone, which is near impossible to get, or finding their female mate. When Court finds the men hiding in her house, she wants to protect them. Political corruption, and cultural misunderstandings, nearly pull them a part. Loved Court, Murk and Trig. Great secondary characters. Can’t wait for Erin’s story.
Brand new world, brand new rules. Really interesting series opener and a highly entertaining series. I’m hooked!
I don’t read a lot of sci-fi romance, but I decided to give this one a go because it’s also an MMF menage story, and I’m really glad I did! The story starts out being about Courtney McGarry, a female law enforcement officer who travels to the planet Jekh to find out what happened to her rabble-rouser grandfather, who was killed trying to protect the citizens of Jekh from the depredations of the humans who came to their planet to conquer it. Courtney soon discovers two native Jekhan males hiding in her home, both of them ill and malnourished, and she takes them under her wing… and learns the two males have other ideas about how their relationship should develop. They’ve been looking for a mate, and they’ve decided Courtney is the one. The sex scenes involving the three are scorching hot!
The characters are all very likable (except the bad guys of course), with Murki and Trig (the male Jekhan lovers who fall for Courtney) being quite different than each other. Though Murki is the dominant first male, Trig is the one who ends up saving the day several times in the story, and I developed a real soft spot for him.
The story took some turns I didn’t expect, including an uprising among the normally passive Jekhans, and with the arrival of Courtney’s sister and brother near the end, it’s clear the story isn’t anywhere near over yet!
I’ve read the rest of the series so far, and I really love the twists and turns it’s taken!
Loved the characters of this story. Tough girls, tougher guys and tons of heat! If you like MMF setting this one is for you!
Wow
Not really what I call a ménage romance, more man on man with a woman thrown in as an afterthought. However, this is some of the best sci-fi I’ve read. I would recommend this for any sci-fi fan. But, be warned if two guys getting if on is not your thing, you might want to skip past those parts.
I love a book that makes you think
Couldn’t finish; so borthing
Interesting concept and characters but doesn’t quite deliver on the potential of this world and the storyline. Seems like it should have either lots more sex, or less…. but I liked what was there and will keep reading this series, hoping for better plots.
I got so caught up in the characters and the story that I bought the next three books. Frances Jackson
I consider myself a live and let live, easygoing person, that being said this book is not for the homofobic., don’t even know how to spell it, duh. Anyway, there’s two alien guys who need a 3rd to be able to survive, and the leading character is just made for the part. Some very steamy moments between the three, couldn’t put the book down for long, wanting to know what was going to happen next. If you don’t consider yourself open minded , and not curious, then this book is not for you.
Loved it
Good story and likable characters. The stroy is good but at some points I felt it repeated itself. I gvie it a solid 4 starts for keeping me entertained.
I enjoyed reading this book and I read the next in the series. They both opened new plots but never seemed to close them.
I liked the strong plot, the sex scenes were not too numerous nor excessive and made sense. This book was all about the STORY not just sex scenes loosely tied together like too many books…thank you author! Now the negative, it needs editing for wrong words and grammatical errors. The book cover wasn’t even close to the characters in the story…why? Still it was a darn good read, I would def buy another book from this author.
So writing jumped months in timeline, with no real connection. Did really feel like the male characters were interested in learning about the female. Just okay
This book was ok. Started off pretty good but about 70% in it got a bit tedious for me. I started scanning the pages but not really beating myself in it. I liked the premis but had some difficulty getting attached to the characters.
I DID like the twists at the end more so than the beginning or middle. It was like 1) meet charachters and read about sex, 2) see what they decide to do and be tedious about it, then finally 3) see all the action and story unfold. It was just so so for me. I’m also not a big fan of some of the language. But that’s just me.
I wanted to like it but it was ultimately uninspired and dull.
Strong female characters. Good plot.
