The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring. . . . I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me. The only person who … me.
The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f*** flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way, my teammates think it’s hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies
When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.
But first I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?
Praise for Erik

Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series, a second chance romance between a flight attendant and a pro hockey player, even though there’s a little detail about this “second” chance (no, I’m not going to spoil it!)…
Erik is a player, not just a hockey player, but a real player. He is the true definition of a ladies man, the puck bunnies love him and he never goes home alone, well at least until Blue…
Blue is a sweet flight attendant, she used to be a party girl but she’s changed and had to take on a lot of responsibility on her shoulders. The last thing she needs is a serial dater like Erik trying to charm her…
Erik and Blue’s story is entertaining, their chemistry is amazing, I really liked how Blue kept ignoring Erik at first (there were some hilarious moments), their story is quite steamy but what I really loved about this book was the moments when the team bonded. Sawyer Bennett thrives on writing about hockey players, the game, the sense of loyalty between teammates, it’s absolutely amazing and I’m a huge hockey fan so I was definitely engaged in their story. Also, Erik surprised me a lot, I was kind of expecting him to be a little douchier and his behavior was refreshing. The secondary characters were amazing! I loved Legend, Dax, Billy, Pepper (I have high hopes for Pepper) and Tacker… wow Tacker… I can’t wait for Tacker’s story! The only reason I’m not rating this book with 5 stars is because I felt that I was a little more interested in what was going on with Legend, Pepper and Tacker (I think I have a crush on Tacker!) than with Erik and Blue’s relationship. Recommended to anyone who loves a steamy hockey romance.
Lighthearted and delightful, another lovely offering in the Arizona Vengeance series. This is a fairly new hockey team based in Phoenix, Arizona, owned by Dominik Carlson, a billionaire from Los Angeles, California. There are a lot of yummy hockey players, so I’m expecting great stories about the team. In this second installment, we have Bishop’s friend Erik, who was struck dumb by Blue, one of the team’s private plane stewardesses. For some reason, she was always cold to him, ignoring him whenever possible, only grudgingly serving him drinks and food when obliged. Erik is baffled, none of his friends can shed light, and he keeps on liking her. His one remark that she looks like a party girl got him a response but it was to blast him into oblivion, asking him to never speak to her again.
But Erik didn’t get to be a star hockey player by just luck. He’s persistent and insistent, and he kept going until he got the explanation, which was a shocker. Erik used to be a ladies man but now he’s ready for something more, and Blue is perfect for him. She’s the person he likes to hang out with, party with, sleep with. However, Blue has other priorities. She has a younger brother Billy who suffers a spastic condition that limits his coordination and ability to talk. Blue spends all her spare time taking care of her brother.
Erik is a very generous and protective boyfriend, and his protection extended to Billy. He wants them in his life, and in his home. It all felt so perfect, like they were a perfect couple and they had a great life. The question is, will it last?
I loved the story because it is so warmhearted. The author writes such delightful characters that you would like to make your friends. As the series unfolds, you get invested in the life of the various players and enjoy when you get glimpses of them in future books. The mood of the story is light, funny and sexy. There is one scene that involves a male Brazilian wax that was crazy funny. There is one character that intrigues me a lot and I can’t wait to read his story: Tacker. He has a very sad story and I would love to read his HEA!
I adored this book, it was simply perfection within its pages!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Someone has caught Erik Dalhbeck’s attention. He plays hockey, in case you couldn’t guess, and you may just be surprised who his team plays against – I know I was. Blue Gardner sometimes finds it hard to juggle two things at once. It’s a lot to have on her shoulders. I can understand what she sometimes has to deal with and some of you may as well.
You wouldn’t know it, after first meeting Blue, but she has a very devious mind – loved it! Then it gets even better. I laughed very loudly in my head. Had to do it in my head because I didn’t want to explain since I was in the staff lounge where I work. This author always seems to know what scenes are going to get me to laugh. I know that when I pick up a book of hers, I’m going to have a good time.
But the author doesn’t give me everything at once. She builds both momentum and anticipation. She knows just what to keep my attention focused on our couple while adding just enough to wonder where the series is going to go. Then I’m pulled back to our main characters and the heat they create when they’re together. In the next instant the author creates a scene that tugs at the heart and made me wish I was there so that I could see the character’s faces.
With this book I kept having this feeling that I was being set up for the next book in the series. I was so happy to see that I was actually right for a change. I’m terrible at guessing things so it was a pleasant surprise. The disappointment is that I have to wait until February. Whatever will I do? Maybe I can go back to the other hockey series, Cold Fury.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Book 2 in the Arizona Vengeance series brings us Erik and Blue’s story. Blue works for the Vengeance as one of their flight attendant crew. She helps care for her handicapped younger brother while working a full time job. She doesn’t have time for flirting and playboy hockey players looking for hook ups. I liked how Blue was a bit of a hard ass to Erik and didn’t give in to his charm right away. She has a little bit of animosity towards him from a prior meeting with him 5 years prior but Erik can’t remember her. I think the hero of this story is Erik! I loved loved loved him. He really likes Blue from the get go and I adored how he wasn’t all about just the hooking up with Blue, but he was ok with just slowly getting to know her and her brother. I like how she has just the right amount of hockey in the story that it does not over whelm it. The bromance between Erik and his teammates is laugh out loud funny as heck. The “waxing” locker room conversation had tears rolling down my face. The chemistry between Blue and Erik is HOT. I loved the pace and lack of drama in this story, it was just 2 people who really like each other and want it to work out. Every time I read a book of hers I want more, more more! I love how she introduces a lot of secondary characters that make you want a book of their own. I know Legend is the next book in the series, can’t wait to see what happens with him and Pepper. The person I can’t wait to read more about is Tracker. That broken man needs a HEA and I hope we get his story sometime in the future. Great read that I would highly recommend. I would highly recommend the whole series.
I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book.
In this second installment of the Arizona Vengeance series, the story follows enforcer Erik Dahlbeck. He’s got a playboy reputation and a huge crush on one of the flight attendants, Blue Gardner. Only she doesn’t want anything to do with Erik.
It takes a big apology and some pain for Blue to finally decide to go out with Erik. Things take off for them after their first date but Blue is still protecting her heart.
I had mixed feelings about Erik at first. His transformation from playboy to boyfriend seemed quick and maybe more like a hard sell. But I grew to like him as his sincerity started coming through.
Erik is an easy, quick read, with plenty of steam. The hockey makes a nice backdrop for the story. I always love it when a sports romance contains some real elements of the sport and I always get that with Sawyer Bennett.
I enjoyed this book in the series and I’m looking forward to more.

This is the second book in the “Arizona Vengeance” ice hockey series. I already love these guys as much as the guys from Sawyer’s “Cold Fury” series. This is the story of Erik and Blue. Blue is the flight attendant on the team plane, Erik has an instant attraction to her. However, Blue has no time for Erik. They’ve met before, while he does not remember their meeting, Blue came away with a less than stellar opinion of Erik. He is a sexy, bad boy with a heart of gold who works hard to get to know Blue despite her initial antagonism towards him. They have great chemistry in and out of the bedroom and it is entertaining to watch as their relationship evolves. Also, intertwined in the story is a varied cast of supporting characters who really enhance the story. I loved this book, so if you are looking for a well written, sexy read this is the book for you. ERIK, book two in Sawyer Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series is here!
A ladies’ man with the matching reputation who never had anything serious. That’s until Blue, a girl he come into contact with regularly, as she is the flight attendant of the team’s plane, but hates his guts. Because that’s new. There just can’t be a girl that can resist his good looks, his charms and his fun and flirty ways – can there? But Blue kinda has her reason for reacting the way she does, seeing as she and him have met several years before, only the jerk cannot even remember her…
The foundation stone for their story was already provided in the first book, where we saw Blue not exactly liking even the idea of Erik. A concept utterly new to the poor guy – a guy who usually always, always gets what he wants…
It’s a wonderful fun and flirty, sexy and emotional new sports romance with not much drama or angst going on. It’s just about a type of enemies to lovers story that already included moments that hinted at the upcoming books. It was a bit too long for our couple alone, but seeing this series as a whole it didn’t matter much to me but only ramped up my excitement about the stories to come!
Loving the Arizona Vengeance!
Erik is one of the (many?!) “Players” on the team, and by that, I don’t mean a starter on the ice!! He’s got his eyes set on one of the flight attendants (Blue) that works on the AV’s private jet. She wants nothing to do with his constant flirting, yet Erik only sees this as a challenge. Blue makes it very clear to Erik that she’s not interested & shocks him by telling him they met 5 years before out in L.A. He can’t believe it because he has no recollection of that night she tells him they met & slept together. But, not wanting to upset her further, he asks if they could remain friends, since they’ll be seeing each other when the team plays away games.
One night when Erik & his friends have nothing to do, they go out to a festival that has food, crafts, etc. While he’s getting something to eat & watching the crowd, he sees Blue pushing someone in a wheelchair. He stops dead & watches her, fascinated to see her outside of work. He figures she’s doing some volunteer work, but Erik couldn’t be more wrong.
This was the second Arizona Vengeance Book. It’s an easy, quick read, with little angst/drama. Loved watching Erik transform from his “prior” self, into this loving, protective, settled guy! Bring on the next Vengeance player!!!
Sweet and anticipated story in Sawyer Bennett’s newest Arizona Vengeance release.
I enjoyed getting to know Blue and Erik and meeting Billy. However, I can’t give it a full four stars because I did feel that the couple drama while realistic was predictable.
I applaud Sawyer’s attention to detail especially in her hockey knowledge and her ability to transport the reader to a game.
Overall, Erik is an enjoyable read and wonderful continuation of the plot lines that started in Bishop.

Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance series but can be read on a stand alone basis.
This book drew me in right from the get go. Erik and Blue had great chemistry and I really enjoyed the development of their relationship. The story was fast paced, it held just the right amount of emotion and feels and the banter between the hockey team mates, provided a lovely touch of wit and humor. I really enjoyed Erik and would happily recommend it.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher via NetGalley; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
I love love love when a man steps up in all the ways that count. Erik does just that in this book and it warms me from the inside. Add hockey into it and it just makes it better.
Erik:An Arizona Vengeance Novel by Sawyer Bennett is one book I didn’t want to put down. I have loved the Cold Fury series by Sawyer, and this new Arizona Vengeance series is exceeding all my expectations.
Erik and Blue are two characters who will have you absolutely bewitched. I love that it’s not an insta love, but one that builds and surpasses the bumps in the road that both of these characters are facing.
And the chemistry between them is magic! I love that Sawyer always makes her characters bring out the best in each other, even though she’s not afraid to show their imperfections.
5 Huge Stars
I am getting a real kick out of these Arizona Vengeance players. Who would have thought from book one, that Erik would have such a soft side. This novel is a very quick read with little angst or drama. It will make you swoon with how Erik turns Blue around to his charms and how he treats Billy. Five years is a long time to change a person and to get a second chance.
Next up is Legend and I think this one might be funnier than the others with Pepper. I am hoping that we hear more about Tacker at the very least, but his own book would be awesome!
4.5 Second Chance Stars!
This was another fun, heartfelt, sexy addition to Bennett’s Arizona Vengeance series. I really enjoyed the first book and couldn’t wait for more of those sexy hockey players and Erik did not disappoint! I loved how Erik and Blue’s relationship grew and evolved so naturally. Blue didn’t immediately fall for Erik’s playboy ways, she made him work for a date, and he was up for the challenge. They both have pasts they are not proud of, and are ready to put it all behind them, and have something more. It wasn’t always easy but it was definitely worth the fight. I really loved both Erik and Blue, they were so perfect for each other, and their chemistry was explosive. I also loved the bond these sexy hockey players have, and their scenes together were so much fun. They give each other a hard time but they also support each other unconditionally. I am so intrigued by Legend and Tacker and can’t wait to read more about them! This is a fun, sexy and passionate story and series!
ERIK was deeper read then I was expecting, I know that Sawyer Bennett dives into subjects that touch our hearts but this one was pulling at everyone of my heartstrings and had me balling like a baby. Erik comes off as a fun loving playboy but believe me when I tell you this man has a heart of gold, especially when it comes to Blue.
Blue was everything I expected from what I had seen from her in BISHOP. She is strong willed and doesn’t take shit from anyone least of all Erik and we find out exactly why that is…and I must admit I didn’t see that one coming. I loved her softer side as well and the way she was with her brother, Billy, was just beautiful.
ERIK is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance Series and can easily be read as a standalone but I can just about guarantee once you meet one of the team players you’ll want to read about each of them. Up next is LEGEND but I am still patiently waiting for Tacker’s story, we find out more about him in this book and I know without a shadow of a doubt I will be going through a box of tissues when I get my hands on his book. This book is easy to recommend to just about everyone, if you enjoy contemporary romance or if you enjoy sports romance this book is for you and if you enjoy the second-chance trope I would recommend this book to you as well. Happy Reading!!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
I am always up for a good sports romance – especially hockey ones by Sawyer Bennett and Erik is one of my absolute favorites. This is book 2 in her new series, Arizona Vengeance, but it can be read as a standalone.
This book sucked me right in from the beginning, moved at a good pace, and kept me entertained until the very end. I really liked both Erik and Blue. Playboy heroes with hidden depths and a good heart tend to be my favorites and I couldn’t help, but love Erik! Blue has a brother with cerebral palsy and this book touched me in many ways as I have a daughter with special needs. I felt that I could really identify with her.
You can tell that Sawyer Bennett does careful research for each of her books. This second chance romance is low on angst, has some great humor and romance. Erik has HEA with no cliffhanger. I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
*5 Stars*
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Hot damn this series is very quickly becoming one of my faves. Of course, we had a brief glimpse of Erik and Blue in the first book, Bishop, so like me, most of you were probably already intrigued about how things between them would play out, and what the story was with Blue’s attitude towards Erik.
And boy oh boy, did things play out. I LOVE these two. Blue has her reasons for why she acts the way she does with Erik, and I wasn’t really expecting them to be what they were. Other might pick up on it, but I didn’t. She also has one very important person in her life – her brother Billy.
Erik is determined to find out why he’s getting the cold should from Blue, and when they finally talk about it, and start getting to know each other – cue the swoon! Dead set, Erik is amazing. The way he treats Blue, the maturity he shows, and most importantly, the way he is with Billy. Good lord almighty, that man!
I truly truly loved following these two and their relationship, and whilst Sawyer writes in the inevitable issue towards the 80% mark that we all know to expect within a romance novel, there is no prolonged or unneeded angst here, and as a whole, this book is a very easy and fun read.
Our fave secondary characters are back, and let me tell you, I sure as shit am intrigued and cannot wait for Legends book. And I would really really love for Tacker to get a book. We see a bit more of his personality in this book (which says a lot for Tacker, for those who remember him from Bishop), and I really want to delve into his character more, and would love to see him get his happily ever after. Pretty please Sawyer?
I’d also like to see Dax get a book, because as with the other main guys like Bishop, Erik and Legend, he seems like a good guy and lots of fun, so I’d really like to see this series continue in such a way.
I think I enjoyed Erik and Blue as much, or maybe a little more than Brooke and Bishop, and I definitely cannot wait for the next book in this series. Love, love, loving these!
This author always has me speeding through her books, they are soooooo good I can’t put it down.
This is what I liked
* Very good storyline and the guilt Blue is struggling with is realistic.
* Erik is more than a playboy and his personal growth is nice to read about.
* All the characters is realistically described and I cannot wait for their stories.
* I love how the author manages to tease us with the secondary characters so I just crave the next book.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Lots of dialogues making the story even more intriguing
* Sweet, steaming love scenes
Amazing 5 stars
Sawyer Bennett just keeps on impressing me time and time again with these Hockey romance books. Some would think after reading the Cold Fury series that you may get bored with more Hockey books… but that is so not the case. I have loved the first 2 in the Arizona Vengeance series and can’t wait to get my hands on the rest! Bishop was the first book in the series and although these can be read as a standalone I would highly recommend reading his book too. I would give this book a 4 stars and highly recommend to others.
Erik is the premiere defense-man and elite enforcer for the Vengeance and he has finally found his groove playing with the team.. finally his life is where he wants it, but one problem he wants Blue… and she wants nothing to do with him…
Blue has responsibilities.. ones that keep her super busy working multiple jobs to care for her disabled brother, and the last thing she needs is some play-boy wanting into her pants… even if she wants it too no matter how much she fights it… the biggest problem is Erik doesn’t remember breaking her heart in the past…
Can Blue forgive Erik and give him another chance? Or will it all end like it had before?
Get to one clicking to see what happens you don’t wanna miss it! AND drum roll please… Legend’s story is up next an boy oh boy is it going to be a whirlwind!
