A short story in the USA Today bestselling HIM / US world!Jamie and Wes are having a blast living and working in Toronto. Until a scout for another team swoops in to make one of them an offer that could complicate the life they’ve built together.
I loved this short novella with Wes and Jamie – these two are so much fun, and are definitely now one of my fave romance book couples. I read all three books in 2-3 days, and loved the hell out of them! This one was so much fun – a nice and easy read, with some fun times for our boys.
Highly recommend!

Epic by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Book: Epic
Author: Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Type: Novella in Him Series
POV: First Person – Dual
Genre: MM Romance
Rating: 4 Stars!
Age: Wes – 26; Jamie – 26.
I open my mouth to ask what’s on his mind, but it doesn’t quite work. Because his lips land on mine, and then we’re kissing. I’m not an idiot. When the love of your life wants a make-out sesh, you don’t toss that aside.
Where’s the rest of it?? Where? It’s not enough. I want more, so much more. *crying*
It’s so amazing how some authors can pack a giant punch in such a small novella. Epic was a short, sweet, adorable and steamy story. It was a perfect little peek into Wesmie’s married relationship. The face-off between Wes and Jamie was epic. Once again, they both had amazing chemistry and hilarious banter that had me turning the pages right till the end. But I’m still not ready to leave Wesmie. I have a Wesmie hangover. I’m going to search for a remedy now.
Our summers at hockey camp in Lake Placid were the best of my life. It’s where I fell in love with Jamie. It’s where we reconnected, and where he fell in love with me. Jesus, how far we’ve come. Childhood friends, to lovers, to husband and husband. Life is a beautiful thing.

I literally cannot get enough of Wesmie. This is one of my favorite series of all time, and this short novella did not disappoint. It follows Wes and Jamie after their marriage when they are trying to deal with the realities of their lives. Adorable, all the feels, and fun side characters to boot. GAH. It makes me want to reread the entire series.

Him, Book 2.5
By: Sarina Bowen, Elle Kennedy
Narrated by: Jacob Morgan, Teddy Hamilton
There is something to say about series when a novella comes out and you can’t wait to see what is going on with the characters. Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy have created that magic with Wes & Jamie and given us a peak at their life together. This short was just like coming home. We fall right back into place with all the players, enjoy some banter, some fun and an unexpected opportunity. But most of all, we get to catch up with these two. It’s short, but just enough to fill that wonder. I loved it! Add in of course the amazing narration by the two who are Wesmie, Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton and it’s a treat well worth the listen!
This short story is book 2.5 in the Him series. Chronologically, it also takes place after the WAGs series (spinoff featuring characters from Him/Us), but only slightly mentions the couple from Good Boy. You could listen to it before WAGs and be fine.
At only an hour, Bowen & Kennedy manage to pack a lot in for fans of the series. It’s a short so there isn’t a lot of opportunity for sexy scenes. (There’s some making out, but sex is closed door.) Blake is his adorkable lovable self. The hockey was fantastic and includes a big surprise for everyone. The title “Epic” is well deserved.
Narration:
Dual narration by Teddy Hamilton & Jacob Morgan is fantastic. They didn’t miss a beat despite having recorded the previous book 3 years ago.

Getting a glimpse into Jamie & Wes’s future was everything I could have hoped for. It takes place a few years after the end of Us and their love is still so strong and beautiful. Don’t get me wrong they were going through their issues just as they did in the previous books, but it was so EPIC!!
Of course, Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton as Wesmie was delicious, as if it could be anything else. It will be a while before I can think of them other than as Jamie and Wes, but I am totally Ok with that.
Honestly, now that I have finished these series, I know what everyone was talking about. Wesmie will forever live in my heart, and it will be a series I read again in the future.

Wesmie being the cutest as always. Love these kinds of short stories where you can see the struggles a couple could have even though they love each other. And being able to read Blake’s remarks again was hilarious.

Epic is book #2.5 of the Him series by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. My Jamie and Wes experience has come to an end. This is the part where I’m shedding a few tears because I don’t want it to be over. I want to say, here, that I am so very glad I read Good Boy after Us and before Epic so I could get everything happening in order. Good Boy includes Wes and Jamie’s wedding and also Blake and Jessie’s story which was fantastic. I loved that in Epic, we even get a little more of Blake and Jess. They are just so adorable together. And of course, some Blake antics are included.
Wes and Jamie are living the life. Wes’s hockey career is continuing to sky rocket. Jamie loves coaching and his team is doing fantastic. Their marriage couldn’t be stronger. But changes are in the wind. No matter what comes their way, though, these two will handle it. Each other’s happiness is all that is important and they will both do whatever it takes for the other’s dreams to come true, no matter what they might be.
I have loved every page of my Wes/Jamie/Blake/Jessie journey. I have swooned, sighed, smiled, laughed out loud and celebrated for these characters. These authors working as a duo is pure magic.

I am not going to spoil anything except to say this was a perfect ending to the HIM and WAG series. I really hope there are more books in the future because I truly enjoyed the entire cast of characters!

These narrators are so good together. This was a short episode out of Wes and Jamie’s life together. A couple of Jamie’s dreams came true, and Wes was completely supportive. Blake makes another appearance and adds that element of humor.
I just wish it had been longer!

Literally Epic!!!
If you’re a Wesmie fan, then this book is for you. You have to read it now. If you also listen to it, even better. I have no words to express the extreme perfection that is Epic. Seriously.
I love everything about this novella. It’s short but really worth reading. I mean, it’s Wesmie we’re talking about, of course it’s worth it. It will leave you with a dopey smile on your face for days. And let me just say, it has an epic plot twist you won’t see coming. And you’ll get some Blake time too, which is always a bonus. We all love Blake. He’s one of a kind.
Epic is literally epic, so go ahead and enjoy the show. You won’t be sorry.

Wesmie is back in this sweet novella that follows them as Jamie looks at a job change. There are of course some funny shenanigans involving hockey, and no book would be complete without some funny Blake scenes. There is never enough Wesmie in the world. I could always use more, but it was nice to have this little treat to be able to revisit them and I enjoyed every moment!
