If you’ve ever read K Webster, you know how she likes to push the boundaries, and with Enzo it was done in such a way that you can’t help but want to encourage it.
Having grown up in the foster system, Jenna has come to accept everything that has been thrown on her, including Cora. Taking on the roll of mother, instead of sister, truly giving the love that has never been shown to her. When Enzo takes over as Jenna and Cora’s caseworker, things start to change and morph, and while working within the gray area of the system, so does Enzo and Jenna’s relationship.
With this being the first character, within this world that I’ve read, and I am looking forward to reading the former books.
We meet Jenna, a foster child who hopes the family shed living with adopts her as are her foster brothers, Ryder and Rex. Blake and Amanda( foster parents) wind up adopting Ryder and Rex Katrina, their social worker moves Jenna and Cora to a new foster home. Jenna gets detention because she laughed and fell asleep in Coach Long’s class. Cora, a two year old little girl is sick so Jenna rushes home and demands Juanita take her the doctor. She does and Dr Powell asks if her foster mom hurts her. Cora says yes so Laurence Tauber (Enzo), their case worker is called to investigate.
Cora gets sick again and Patty, her foster mom brings her to the hospital, Jenna, Enzo and Cora are my favorite characters. This book is one of K Webster’s best ones to date
**ARC REVIEW**
Love how this book is linked to Dane!
I found this to be a great little taboo, I enjoyed the age gap between Enzo & Jenna.
Jenna has had to mature a lot faster than other teens. She finds herself jumping from foster homes and caring for a toddler whom she becomes extremely attached to. She meets Enzo her new case worker and finally feels she found someone she can honestly trust.
Just shy from her 18th birthday, Jenna is ambitious and has set goals for her and little Cora. Until reality sets in and she realizes it’s not going to be as simple and easy as she thought.
I really don’t seem to have enough of K. Webster’s writing. She’s my favorite super hero when it comes to taboo treats, I know I can always count on her amazing talent. I want all the juicy stuff and she’s not afraid to deliver the most awesome things!
And boy, how much I loved Enzo! It was such an entertaining read but also had a real depth wrapped into it. It’s the devil duo K. Webster loves to use – turn you on & broke your heart a little.
Enzo & Jenna is a powerful couple. I really loved their relationship. And little Cora! This sweet wee thing has my heart.
But can we talk a bit about Dr. Daniel? He’s HAWT! He’s hawt big time. I want his story. Tell me there’s going to be a story on him.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to fan myself until the news of his story drops. (There’s had to be one!!!)
*shrug* Read this book. I mean it, it’s so cool!
4 STARS
This is a short, standalone book that touches on the taboo and forbidden aspects of romance. I didn’t know what to expect since this is my first K. Webster book and first time knowing I’m reading something listed as a Taboo Treat. It was a surprisingly quick and sexy read!
This is a story about Jenna and Enzo and how they are drawn together by circumstance and a common connection. Lorenzo “Enzo” Tauber is such a caring, older and compassionate man, who is also Jenna’s social worker. Enzo finds himself wanting more.
“You’re more than just a job to me.”
Jenna Pruitt is a soon to be of legal age, foster “kid” who finds herself needing help. I found her maturity level to be refreshing. That she was able to find solace in Enzo’s care despite her past experiences.
“This feels too good to be true.”
The following quote from the book is a perfect representation of their forbidden love.
“But love is lawless. Love is unaware of social norms. Love doesn’t give a damn.”
I really was really delighted with this book and it is definitely a MUST read. Thank you to the author, K. Webster and Indie Sage PR with providing me an ARC in exchange for a honest review. Enzo by K. Webster will join the ranks of the BIBLIO- ELITE.
Enzo it’s another novel by K.Webster. A standalone novel told in dual POV. It’s part of a Taboo series whit a HEA ending…The novel tells the story of Jenna and Enzo.
Jenna is a young girl with a painful life and past. She was abandoned by her mother when she was born, and so she became a child of the system. She went through several foster families. That’s how she gets her little sister Cora. She was forced to grow and mature ahead of time. She is a real woman, a strong and sexy woman. A real temptation for every man.
Enzo is Jenna’s caseworker and he is not a blind man. He can’t help himself. Is not hard to notice such a forbidden fruit. He’s trying to take care of Jenna and her little sister the best way he could.
I must confess I was expecting something else, something darker, kinky-er and true taboo, but unfortunately it wasn’t like that. It was an easy steamy read. I thought through the reading I was scared that something bad will happen to Jenna and her little sister, but fortunately, it wasn’t like that.
Jenna was a great girl with a golden heart, although she suffered all her life as a child, she put her little sister’s needs beyond her needs. She was a true mother to her.
Enzo was a real gentleman, he always took great care of them, or at least he tried his best. He never took advantage of Jenna or the situation in which she was.
So if you are looking for something easy, steamy, quick and emotional read, this book right here is the one for you.
I recommend this book!
“Love is lawless. Love is unaware of social norms. Love doesn’t give a damn.”
Enzo is the story of caseworker Lorenzo Tauber and Jenna Pruitt, the 18-year old girl he is responsible for.
Jenna has been bounced between foster homes all her life I’m a foster kid. Alone and unloved and at an unfair advantage. and is simply counting down until the day I turn eighteen so I can make my own rules.
When Enzo is assigned as the new caseworker, he tries, within his abilities, to help Don’t drown. Don’t drown. Don’t fucking drown. Let me save you. and along the way starts to care deeply for Jenna.
Jenna is gravitating toward Enzo and starts to care for him too and they fall hard for each other.
Jenna’s not some wishy-washy teen. She’s responsible, mature beyond her years.
This short story is told in dual POV’s alternating between Enzo and Jenna.
It’s a all to real story about children in foster care and hopefully they too will be equally lucky for find a constant of people who will care for them.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Jenna’s grown up in the system. Forced to be tough, wary, and hard. She’s only bee about to count on herself. Until Enzo. He’s much older and responsible for looking after her. What should be a job to him, evolves into much more. Late night phone calls. Lingering touches. A forbidden fire that burns brighter each day. Everything about him exudes strength. His will to protect her is more than she could ever ask for. Sadly, though, even heroes have their limitations. But she doesn’t need a hero. She just needs him.
Welcome to another taboo treat from K. Webster. I love these little treats so much. I fell so in love with Enzo, Jenna, and Cora. And while this maybe labeled at taboo treat it is not so much taboo as it is heart melting amazing goodness. I loved them for the first page and might have had a tear in my eye of joy by the end. This is the story of Jenna who has lived in the system since she was a baby and has been bounced from house to house and some terrible situations. When Enzo becomes her case worker though the whole world is going to look totally different for her and for Cora. I do not want to give the story away so I will just say that this is a heartwarming book. It will restore your faith in the goodness of people and true love. You do not want to miss this K Webster book.
Jenna has spent her whole life in the foster care system, and going from one bad home to another. Enzo is compassionate and dedicated to his job and is Jenna’s new caseworker, and her soul support system. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written flawless story which is forbidden and steamy, and had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I cannot wait to read more form this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.
Man she does taboo so well and this book was no different!! I love age gap books and I think this is one of my favs!! There were so many wonderful aspects of this book that I’m not even sure how to properly express them. The storyline itself may be taboo but that doesn’t take away from the sweet and emotional parts as well.

~~ 5 HEART-SLAYING STARS! ~~
“I won’t let you drown.”
K Webster never fails to DAZZLE me with her powerfully addictive love stories that tantalize, titillate and touch my heart and soul.
But this book? Oh my word…it struck a chord so deep inside of me that I have been rendered BREATHLESS!
ENZO, which is set in the author’s wildly popular Taboo World, truly hits you so hard in the feels your heart will be BURSTING! So, if you are merely expecting a SHORT AND SMUTTY PLEASURE-READ, you may be in for quite a surprise. Because while this book surely entertains, and delivers on the sugary sweetness, forbidden romance and filthy hot erotic interludes, that’s just SCRATCHING THE SURFACE of what this book truly has to offer!
In short, this taboo age-gap romance is about Jenna Pruitt, a scrappy teenage foster kid who has had a hard luck life but then her bleak , uncertain future takes an unexpectedly hopeful turn when she falls hopelessly in love with her kind, ruggedly handsome, much older caseworker!
Gah! K. Webster’s depiction of this beautifully nuanced ingenue was PHENOMENAL. Jenna is such a warrior and despite the fact that she’s barely 18, she is an OLD SOUL who has endured more in her short life than many experience in a lifetime. Given up for adoption immediately after birth, Jenna has been bounced around from foster home to foster home and most of them have NOT been a walk in the park.
Nevertheless, this fierce young spitfire just has such guts, grit and INNATE GOODNESS, it’s awe-inspiring . I LOVED HER MADLY and was so moved by the fact that while she is lost and a bit broken inside, and has felt unloved and unworthy her whole life, in all the ways that matter she is a true survivor!
But that’s not to say she does not have her rough days. Too many to count, in fact.
Yet even though living day by day amid such hardship has taken its toll there is indeed hope on the horizon . For amid the pain and fear, desperation and aching loneliness, she has two lifelines that give this world-weary girl a reason to KEEP FIGHTING!
First, there’s her baby “sissy” Cora, a fellow foster child who is not related to her by blood, but this sweet toddler is hers in EVERY WAY THAT MATTERS. And if anyone tries to tear Jenna and her beloved “banshee baby” apart, watch out because this mama bear has a MIGHTY ROAR! The bond between these soul sisters had me weeping throughout, and in my option, was the emotional epicenter of the book.
And then there’s Lorenzo “Enzo” Tauber, Jenna’s beloved hero!! Despite the complicated nature of their relationship, she finds in this sweetly chivalrous man the HANDSOME WHITE KNIGHT that she’s been craving all her life. He’s always just a phone call away , whenever she needs him, and when forbidden desire ignites, it TAKES THEM BOTH BY STORM! However, even though Jenna is about to age out of the system, it is hardly smooth sailing for this beleaguered duo!
Enzo is a different kind of K. Webster hero, not your typical growly, chest-thumping Caveman Alpha. But as the story progresses and his relationship with Jenna morphs from purely platonic to torridly passionate, this kind, caring, irresistibly sexy caseworker’s dominant side emerges, not to mention his FEROCIOUS protective steak! And I just fell so hard for this this WARM, CUDDLY, GENTLE-HEARTED SAVIOR!
Having grown up in the system himself as a young, scared, beaten and half-starved boy, he knows better than anyone how painful it is to feel like a cast off. He fared much better than Jenna and so many other kids by finding a loving adoptive family at the age of nine, but his compassion and empathy for what his foster kids growing up in the trenches are going through really resonates! Instead of allowing his past to turn him bitter and jaded and disillusioned, he channeled his experience in a positive way and his life’s purpose, his CRUSADE, is to champion foster kids and do whatever he can to make a difference in the world. Like seriously, how HOT is that?!
I must give a shutout to K. Webster, who should truly be commended for penning a book which sheds such a raw and unflinching light on the plight of kids in the foster care system within the framework of this short and sweet and profoundly moving novel. And while I get that this is a snapshot glimpse into two fictional foster girls’ lives, in my heart it’s a true representation of the hundreds of thousands of children in the foster care system today. So many of which are lost, downtrodden, scared, oftentimes feeling unwanted and unloved, and are in desperate need of a safe, secure and loving forever families.
That said, while ENZO is so utterly gut-wrenching at times I was choking back tears, rest assured this is NOT a Debbie Downer of a book.. There are plenty of EMOTIONAL HIGHS, FUN, WITTY BANTER, PANTY-MELTING HOT CLANDESTINE TRYSTS, and WARM FUZZY FEELS throughout! Speaking of humor, I especially love how all of KW’s taboo treats are set in the same world– I got a huge kick out of the appearances by Coach Long, Winter, August, Nick, Sophia, Drew et al. It’s such a blast when all these characters’ lives intersect and how they circle the wagons in times of trouble! There are also some shockingly poignant twists along the way that gave me CHILLS, and of course the ending had me swooning like crazy!
I will close this review with this short snippet from the book that was so HAUNTINGLY, ACHINGLY EMOTIONAL it slayed my heart and soul. It truly encapsulates for me what the authors was trying to convey by putting this book into the universe. That every single child in the world, no matter what their circumstance, DESERVES to feel worthy of love!
Lifting my head, I meet his intense stare. “I wish I’d been worth it to my mom.”
“You’re worth it,” he practically snarls. “Don’t ever think otherwise.”
BOTTOM LINE:
ENZO is a beautiful, bittersweet and utterly breathtaking Taboo Treat that I will treasure forever. Ultimately, it is a life-affirming story of hope and promise, and serves as a powerful reminder that sometimes the best families are woven by LOVE and not necessarily forged by bloodlines. So kudos, K. Webster for gifting your readers with yet another EPIC read!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I really enjoyed Jenna and Enzo’s story.
In my mind, this book wasn’t as “taboo” as some of the other taboo treats from K. Webster.
I think Enzo was just the person Jenna needed and that he came into her life at the perfect time.
Jenna had a rough childhood but Enzo changed that for her.
I think this story was just and overall good story with some hot scenes.

5 SHINING STARS FOR THIS LITTLE GEM!!!
Simply put, I LOVED ENZO by K Webster. It’s a beautifully written, stunningly bittersweet, highly emotional and devastatingly powerful story about overcoming even the most insurmountable obstacles.
After the death of her mother, Jenna was thrust into the foster care system and learned early on that there is nobody she can depend on to keep her and little baby Cora, her foster sister (who calls her Mommy- be still my heart) safe from those predators who lurk close by. Jenna is about to age out of the system and is determined to keep Cora with her. Ah, if it were only that easy….
“Don’t drown.” Life is going to try to push you under the water-stand on you, smashing you to the ground way down below. It’s dark and cold and you’ll feel as though you’re suffocating. You’ll be alone. So f***ing alone. Don’t drown.”
Jenna is a fierce yet beautifully broken young woman has lost every single bit of hope. All the hope for love and happiness that remained inside her is lost as she becomes increasingly aware that she will soon be separated from Cora.
That is, until a wonderful man named Lorenzo Tauber or Enzo as he called, her guardian angel and case worker swoops in and shows her exactly what hope and love is all about. Gah, I loved this man. He’s like poetry in motion. He stops at nothing to make sure they are both safe from harm. Is it easy? Hell no it isn’t. Are there risks? You bet there are. But, one thing is for sure… One kiss changes everything…..
“He kisses me like he has the power to chase away my demons and my sadness.”
Hope for happiness, hope for a future filled with love and not tearful goodbyes is never lost…. You just have to see what’s right in front of you. What was not clear before but is so apparent now is that hope and loves stares them right in the eyes and challenges them to a dual. A dual they both take on and never look back.
The chemistry is smoldering between Enzo and Jenna. They both know what they want and let the other know it. And make no mistake, Enzo is a force to be reckoned with. Especially in the bedroom…
“I’m not exactly a gentleman in bed, sweetheart. I leave bruises with my mouth. I like it rough.”
He makes me shiver with goosebumps and had me daydreaming and wishing for a moment or ten that I was Jenna…. He is so swoonalicious…..
Then things take a drastic turn when a hospital visit changes everything. Just when it seems all hope is lost for any kind of happiness, another angel swoops in and reminds her again, what life, love and most importantly, family is all about……
I laughed, I wept and I loved right along with Enzo, Jenna, Cora, Daniel and the rest of the gang and was left sighing in satisfaction and joy and thanking K Webster for delivering this little 5 star gem to my kindle.
The Taboo Treat world is one I wasn’t so sure about when I began, heck beginning any K. Webster book can be a gamble, but it seems like I always come out on the positive side. The word “taboo” often drives people away from reading stories, but I’ve found that taboo things aren’t necessarily bad. Sometimes we need to take a step out of our comfort zone and experience someone else’s story.
In this one, I actually found myself compelled by the story. Jenna has spent her life in the foster system, wondering if anyone actually cares about her. Growing up being thrown from home to home and experiencing more heartache and worry in those formidable years than anyone should in ALL their years. When she meets Enzo, she’s finally given hope that things might turn around, even if everyone else might not see it the same.
I found myself experiencing all the feels in this one — the story pulled at my heart, I laughed, I cried, I worried, and then I got to feel all the happiness as Jenna began to find hers.
“Sometimes the law doesn’t understand love. It has rules for love.” She pats my knee and gives me a knowing smile. “But love is lawless. Love is unaware of social norms. Love doesn’t give a damn.”
Another amazing treat from this authors series of taboo novellas. The story was hard at times but the ending really did justify the story as a whole. Enzo was simply amazing. Not just the whole book either, Enzo was an amazing hero and I truly love who he was and how he was with Jenna. Jenna was a strong lead. Even with her age she had the weight of the world on her shoulders but she didn’t let it defeat her. If you are looking for a great standalone, novella with taboo elements then you will enjoy this. If you already love Webster’s taboo world then you are going to go crazy for Enzo and Jenna. 5 stars #2OCCJD
I wish all my favorite authors wrote books as fast as K. Webster does.
I really enjoy these taboo treats of Kristy’s and Enzo was no different.
We met Enzo in Dane, and I was intrigued by him and his pending story. He is a social worker that has been signed to Jenna’s case.
Jenna had had a crap life, but her only shining light is her foster sister Cora. The baby should be her sister but Jenna is more a mother to her.
Enzo was once a foster kid himself, but finding a good family changed his life, and he’s spent his career helping other kids like him.
Jenna is temptation personified, however. She is smart, strong, loving, having this steely strength and a gooey center. She doesn’t let people in easily, but Enzo is special.
When Enzo meets Jenna he wants to keep his distance, do his job and help her if he can. He’s her social worker so anything more than that would be inappropriate and threatening to his job.
The men in Kristy’s taboo world however love messes that involve teenagers. And boy is it hot!
A quick, got read, Enzo also packed an emotional punch. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to more taboo stories
Love Just does whatever it wants.
My favorite quote “Love is Lawless. Love is Unaware of social norms. Love dosen’t give a damn”
This story from K Websters world is one of her more emotional and it tugged at my heart. This isn’t just a love story of a couple overcoming the obsticles to be together but a family loving eachother so fiercely they fight thru any and every obsticles to find a way and be together.
I preffer to not share spoilers so I’ll just say Jena’s Heart is one to be admired and thou this book is titled by our Hero, it is she who stole this readers tears and cheers as her HEA is finally brought and concluded this story.
3.5 stars
Enzo, you’ve been a very bad boy. A naughty, naughty boy. I guess not is the wrong word since Enzo is all man. And I mean ALL man. This taboo treat is exactly what you expect…naughty fun and sweet happily ever afters. One of my favorite parts of these is how they link to the other stories in this “world.” I loved seeing old friends and look forward to ” new” ones.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
Ah, sweet, sweet taboo love. K Webster DE-LIV-ERS in this ultra sweet and sexy novella. It’s jam packed with forbidden love, an age gap, a potential power struggle, and heartbreak, and as an added bonus, alpha yumminess.
I don’t have much experience with K. Webster. I’ve read only one or two books of hers, but I’ve read none from the Taboo Treat series. It’s a standalone novella series, so if you are into naughty novellas and, if Enzo is any indication, original, you’ll end up like me wanting to devour the rest.
Jenna’s live has been fraught with pain. Bounced around from foster home to foster home, she’s lived a tough live. Between bruises and potential abuse, she’s kept up her guard…
Until her social worker Enzo comes along.
Enzo knows his own pain. He was also part of the foster care system until he was one of the lucky ones that was adopted. Yearning to make a difference, he becomes a social worker. Instead of feeling useful, he’s become almost…. jaded. He becomes attached to the children he can’t always help.
But it doesn’t explain the way his feelings for the battered young woman grow. They morph, from innocent social worker to love.
Novellas are hard. How do you pack in love and raw emotion into something so short? How do you show true, unbridled love between two people that shouldn’t have seen each other in the way they did? How do you write a review without giving away all the gritty details?
Well one, you could fangirl because OH MY GAWD THIS WAS SO GOOD. Or, you can say, more “professionally” that there is so much happening in this short romance, that I couldn’t possibly explain it without giving away all the reasons this novella is so amazing.
Jenna is real. I’ve never been in foster care, but I felt connected to her. I’ve never been adopted, but I felt the struggle he did, trying to come to terms with the fact he couldn’t save every child the way he was saved. I’m not in love with a man twice my age, haven’t found someone fifteen years younger than me (ok, but that would make them ten so I REALLY HOPE NOT) attractive, and yet, their love was real to me.
If you’re looking for a heart-wrenching novella, one that will tear you up but still keep you smiling, this is the novella for you.
Man what can I say I love K Webster taboo treats books. They’re so good they get you sucked in from the first page and you just can’t put it down.
I really loved the story of Enzo and Jenna, Enzo is a social worker and poor Jenna is a teenager who will no longer be able to stay in the system she’s been a somewhat mother figure for another foster baby she’s been in charged since she was born. The love Jenna has for Cora is so beautiful how at a young age she was more mother figure than the real foster parents. I really enjoyed this story and all the other characters we get to see again from the other books from her taboo treats. Can’t wait to read more new books.
