It was temptation that broke the sinner.People say I have everything. They’re wrong. I may have looks, money, and privilege, but I don’t have the one thing that really matters, the one thing I crave: a woman with eyes only for me. I’m searching for my woman—one who will fall to her knees because I’m her king. She’ll wear the crown of my tarnished name, and long for me when I’m not near. And when … I’m not near. And when I am close, she’ll be naked across my lap, feeling the sting of my palm across her milky skin.
You could say I’m a sinner because I’d do anything to have the perfect woman—compliant to my every need and whim—and I’m envious of every couple who walks around naive to the luxury they have.
That’s why I joined The Elite, the most prestigious brotherhood in the south.
It’s the one place that will give me what I cannot have.
Only…the task assigned to me is too much for my jealous eyes.
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak…they’re for The Elite.
Those who envy have no peace.
My name is Sabastian Westbrook.
I am Envy.

Envy is the fourth installment in The Elite Seven series. The series must be read in order to understand each book completely.
Sebastian Westbrook – Envy
Sebastian knew growing up with nothing and overnight was handed everything he wanted. He did what he wanted and had no consequences until he pushed a little too far. Now it was time to help his uncle; to do that meant going to college at St. Augustine and becoming one of the Elite Seven.
I was dying to find out what happened to Sebella (Wrath’s sister), this book did not disappoint with those details. For me, this book felt more like a filler, you learned about Sebastian but there wasn’t much else. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy Envy, I did. Envy seemed to fit his name more than any other brother. I can’t wait to see what happens to Envy and what’s next for these guys!

This book went in a surprisingly different direction from the other books in The Elite Seven series. I knew from previous books that something w so s different about Sebastian, but wow, I wasn’t expecting that. He actually kind of reminded me of Joe from the book You. But I liked Envy much more than You. This book had me hooked from beginning to end. It’s been a while since I actually read a book in one day. I forgot how good that felt.
*MIND BLOWN* This was not what I was expecting…holy…hell! This series just keeps getting darker and crazier and oh so good! After the cliffhanger ending in Wrath, I wasn’t sure where M.N. Forgy was going to take us, but she completely blew away any of my expectations!
Sebastian doesn’t have a lot of redeeming qualities which obviously made him hard to like, so I was very curious how this book was going to play out. We get a much better insight into what makes him tick and see all that he’s capable of. He’s hungry for the things he doesn’t have. He wants for nothing materialistic, but envies those who have love, companionship, and especially the love of a woman. Sebastian sees The Elite Seven as a way of getting what he wants. We know from the last book that he has a thing for Sabella, Wrath’s twin sister, and she’s definitely too sweet for him, but he becomes obsessed with her. She’s the woman he sees completing his dream life.
The twists and turns are beyond anything imaginable and again I’ve been left needing the next book to continue down this dark and warped path of The Elite Seven!
Sebastian rubbed me wrong from the beginning, and now that we have his story, it explains so much…Envy is his perfect sin and what drives him. He invoked so much reaction, but even after all the twists, turns, and unexpected happenings, I still sat there with a smile on my face because it was a crazy, wild ride!! So much is revealed, and the ending left me speechless…this series is really engrossing and so fun to read!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!

WOW! This book was a lot more difficult to read than the others in the series. I found myself not really liking Sebastian like I’ve come to at least understand the other Elite Brothers.
This book is a lot darker. This book is more intense. This book delves deeper into the dark side of the Elite. I am still trying to figure out everything I just read and what all it means for the rest of the brothers and for Sebastian himself.
This is one series that has really kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to release! (And I’m almost sad that there are only 3 books left!)

Sebastian needs to join Elite but is he really willing to do anything to get his title Envy! His uncle helps as much as he can but now he has to prove his worth. When he meets Sabella, he is desperate for her to love him but will he go too far?
When Envy showed up on my Kindle I was not very excited to start reading. I was getting burned out on this series because the stories seemed to all be the same basic thing. I wanted something different. Something that was not destroy a girl to get into the club, but oh noes! I am falling in love with her. Then I thought since I have it why not give it a go? Why not see what it is all about? If it is the same as the first three then I will be done with it. Only it is not. Not at all. It was so much fun. I love stories like this. About the bad guys who are just bad. The guys who are really messed up and you don’t want in your life. It was fun.
Sebastian comes from a rich, crime family who wants him to join the Elite. So he does what he needs to to get in and yeah…not quite what I expected. He has no qualms doing whatever he needs to do. Now he should be happy because he has almost anything he could ever want, but one thing keeps slipping through his fingers – someone to love him. Someone to care about him as much as he cares about them. Someone like everyone else has. I loved that he was jealous that everyone else seems to be finding their happily ever afters and he still can’t seem to figure it out. But it is okay because he has now found the one. The girl who will change everything. Sam’s sister Sabella. If you have read the prior books you know he has a thing for her, but where the last book ends up was a bit like wait what is going to happen here? Because I know where this goes in part so how do we get there? I was not expecting the path this story took and it made me super excited to read more. Especially that ending. It was a darker read than the others, but such a fun adventure. Now I am curious again where the next book will go.
*Note: I received a free copy of this book for voluntary review consideration
What the hell did I just read! I am in utter shock. This character is seriously f*cked up. I don’t know how to rate this. The writing in this book is excellent but Envy…. gosh, Envy oh Envy…. I just want to bludgeon you to death.
We met Sebastian in Lust. We got the feeling that he was messed up from book one but in Wrath we got to see him a little more and got the totally creepy vibe from him. Sevastian, Envy, is a bona fide psychopath. There is nothing right about that boy. He showed his crazy right from page one. He wants what he cant have but that won’t stop him from getting it. He acts in the ment and doesn’t take take to consider or worry about the repercussions. He becomes part of this brotherhood but that doesn’t change his personality or his behavior all. He is still as envious as ever. Nobody truly realizes the crazy that is lurking beneath the surface. He considers himself the devil but that still won’t stop the fires of him from engulfing him. I hate him so much that I actually feel sorry for him. All he wanted was a woman to love him for himself that he went down a path of no return. The Elite is a brotherhood and the brotherhood stands together!
I was not ready for his book and after reading it, I need a punching back with his handsome face on it. My thoughts are jumbled up. My mind is a mess. This book sucked me in and threw me out wanting more. I need more after an epilogue like that.
I’m a little dumbfounded after finishing this book, to say that it wasn’t what I was expecting would be a massive understatement. I was both nervous and excited going into Envy because on one hand Wrath left me emotionally exhausted and needing as long of a break from the series as I could take, but on the other hand, I was stoked to finally read M.N. Forgy because I’ve been meaning to for years and have just never gotten around to it before now. Though I had issues with this fourth installment in The Elite Seven series, it had nothing to do with Ms. Forgy’s writing. I really loved it and I absolutely want to read her again!
As for Envy, I really started out loving the book and loving Sebastian. He’s always been a character that interested me and I loved the whole Joker-type vibe that I got from him in the previous books. I really felt for him in the beginning, but as time went on, I became a little unsure of him and now I’m at the point where I’m pretty much apathetic towards him. Sebastian is hard to explain, but I don’t want to go into detail about him because I don’t want to give anything away, so I’ll just say that he’s cray and things started to devolve in the last half of the book. I don’t mean that in a negative way, like the book became bad or boring, just stuff goes down, all of it was surprising, and I’m just like — as I said before — dumbfounded.
All that being said, I actually really did enjoy reading this book even if the last half had me wife-eyed staring at the pages in disbelief and then putting down my kindle asking myself what and if all that just happened. Envy truly was entertaining though it’s definitely messed up and twisted. I’m glad that my heart was not put through the emotional wringer this time and I am so looking forward to Greed’s book!

Holly mother of all Envy and Evil. I really don’t know what I am feeling after reading this book. I truly am loving the series, but Envy his characters has left me a bit off. its kind of hard to explain my emotions and thoughts on this. Envy might be the most messed up of all the Elites. Talk about psycho at its finest!! This was some crazy ass dark shit!
1st and foremost, I did like this book, and this story. nothing negative to say really. the writing was great, its just the character itself what threw me off. I can’t explain my feeling. I went in not liking him, I almost felt bad for him but I just couldn’t like him. something was off since I met him in Wrath’s book and now in his book I just couldn’t. I’m all for bad but this is wrong in a whole other level. He broke my heart but overall left me so bothered and angry. again not at the story but the character. everything he does, his attitude. he’s just totally a butthole. I devoured this book in search of a happy ending, but I guess not all stories will have them!
We do get some answerers from pervious book in the series, but we’re also left with new questions. So far I do like the direction the story is going, but some events in this book left me crushed. I guess this series had to have it twist and Envy was just the man.
M.N Forgy is a new author for me. I enjoyed her bravery in creating this character but am curious as if her books are this dark and crazy. I usually do love dark and crazy, but she really did a number on me and for this I’m intrigued.
I can’t wait for what’s to come in the series, I just hope in end I get my happy ending for my men because so far I feel as if non have. This story broke my heart and not the way the others in this series did. I totally was not expecting this story to go the way it did, but it just made this series so much more interesting and intriguing.
3.5 stars
Envy definitely was different from the first 3 books in this series and falls into the darker side of sin. Although I enjoyed reading it, I really was like “who is Sebastian”. He is tough character that is obsessively Envious for the one thing he can find.
Envy was totally not what I expected yet it ended up being exactly the kind of twisted and intriguing read I crave. Sebastian Westbrook has always made me think of a ticking time bomb and he just blew my mind in Envy. So much more complex than I thought and the perfect embodiment of his sin, envy, Sebastian makes no apologies for who he is. With each page I was drawn more and more into his story and honestly loved how he kept me constantly on my toes. After the crazy ride Envy took me on and the twist I didn’t see coming I can’t wait to see what’s to come from the remaining Elite Seven.
This series continues to get pregressively darker.
I’ll be honest. I never liked Envy. I never really warmed up to the character in the previous books, and through this book I find out exactly why I never warmed up to him.
Sebastian Westbrook, like most of the Elite, comes from money. He’s got everything going for him, but it’s still not enough for him. Sebastian embodies jealousy, and when he looks around him he sees all the things his brothers have and he doesn’t. He craves female companionship. Not the cheap kind, but an everlasting one. He wants that special someone, and he sets his sights on Sabelle.
At first Sebastian seemed like he had his heart in his right place, and I thought that we’d get another bad boy good girl story. Until shit hit the ceiling fan. I’m still scratching my head wondering what happened, and if it really did happen. Is the author screwing with me, or did she just do what she did? And what does this mean for the other characters.
I wouldn’t exactly characterize this as a romance. It’s more of a mindfuck, the kind that M.N. Forgy is best at delivering. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and cannot wait for Goddard’s book.
ENVY by M.N Forgy is bk 4 in “The Elite Seven “series. This is Sabastian Westbrook aka Envy’s story.
This is a dark romance that has many twists and turns. It is truly a fast paced read that doesn’t focus too much on romance but on heat, sizzle, angst, lust.. Sabastian is such a complex character that makes you want to figure him out. I liked how author M.N. Forgy fleshed the character out and also about his connection to Sabella. I was amazed at all the twists and turns, seeing how Sabastian ended up this twisted and dark individual who really has such a horrible and painful background that drives who he is now.
Envy is wanting what money can’t ever truly buy….but can he get what he’s seeking? Or will it ellude him…? This book ends on one doozy of a cliffhanger and makes way for Greed.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ******
Sebastian has wealth, privilege, good looks basically everything you could want but for him it’s never enough. Sebastian wants Sabella but she has him in the friend zone. He really lives up to his sin in this story. Plenty of sex, steamy scenes and wtf moments about in this book. A really interesting story and now on to the next book in the series.
I’m not sure how to put into words exactly how I feel about Envy. On the one hand I couldn’t stop reading this book. I literally picked it up and was compelled to keep going til I hit the end. This was my introduction to M.N. Forgy’s writing so I do love the fact she kept my intrigued for the whole story. But I honestly have to say that I didn’t like Sebastian’s character at all. Starting off in the shadows he emerged more in the previous book and there was just something about him that was off, and now after learning about his life and what all he’s capable of that feeling intensified big time. But apparently crazy is in because Envy took such a sharp turn at the end, leaving me that much more fascinated to continue on this twisted ride.
Athough Sebastian wasn’t someone I could root on, I do have to say his character was written perfectly. Always wanting something he couldn’t have or find, he was the epitome of the word envy and had no shame in that role. Sebastian was difficult to read though since at times I could tell he really wanted to try and be different, especially around the other brothers, but it was as if he wasn’t wired right and couldn’t figure out how to fit in. Envy was also different in the fact it was more a mix of the past three books just from Sebastian’s eyes, so beyond his bit of backstory not much new has taken place in the Elite storyline. But like I said before, M.N. Forgy ends this on a bit of a mind f*** and leaves the door open to so many possibilities and I’m very eager to see where the next author takes this series.
One of the best things about this series is the introduction of new to me authors! There hasn’t been a book yet in this series that hasn’t been fantastic.
Envy is another story in this series that took my down the rabbit hole! This is the first book by M.N. Forgy and it won’t be my last!
Envy is Sebastian’s story. I have been waiting, not so patiently for this one! He was the most elusive and mysterious Elite member to me so far.
Sebastian is a twisted fellow, but you can’t help but want to love him like he needs to be loved. He wants what he feels he deserves and will stop at absolutely nothing to get it. He is the true definition of Envy. Even the way he becomes an Elite member truly embraces his brotherhood name.
What happens in this story is gonna grab you. It was a story I was not expecting, it was even better!
Every story in this series is getting better and better! Every time I finish the story before, I think there is no way the next author can top or compare and I have been proven wrong every time! The way that each other has carried the main focus of the story has been fantastic and that is a true testament to the powerhouse of talent that has been brought together!
Yet again I will have to wait for the next story, Greed. Not so patiently.
Unique, edgy, and darkish, I was captivated in Sebastian’s twisted story from beginning to end.
This series has become a favorite for 2019!!
This is book 4 in the Elite Seven Series and you really need to read each book in proper order to gain full insight into the story.
Not only are the stories interconnected but you gain perspective as to what is going on with these characters.
That said, Holy. Mother. Of. MOFOS!
This installment had me on the edge of my seat as I embarked into Sebastian Westbrook aka Envy’s journey. The author did a stellar job in creating a sociopathic character so demented and so seductive that his sin fitted him perfectly!! His unique perspective in how he saw the world and how he dutifully carried his sin was bone chilling!!
His character was so complex and flawlessly developed he is someone I want to jump and hump!
Sebastian aka Envy is one twisted MOFO!
We’ve caught glimpses of him in the prior books so I couldn’t wait to learn the truth about him.
Fast paced, and intriguing, I read this quick book in one sitting as Sebastian’s characters aka Envy is so flawed and demented I needed to discover what the end game was! There was some revisiting of scenes already presented, but that didn’t take away from enjoying the story because the scenes were presented from Sebastian’s perspective.
A major secret from book 1 is revealed, AND new developments arise that make you question the entire purpose of the Elite and what the end game is!!
Overall, I’ve become addicted to the series and I’m committed to read each book to the end. However, I feel like that this series could have been made into one big book, where the story flowed more naturally and there was less repetition.
Once again, the ending was jaw dropping but felt a little rushed and I was left me wanting more.
I cannot wait to see what’s in store next!
Omg Edgar Allen Poe has nothing on M.N. Forgy!!!! This book just wow blew my mind!
The prologue gives you a sense of foreboding but not how insane it will be. My first thoughts was that this wasn’t creepy at all….
Sebastian aka Envy is a little bit on the odd side. He’s obsessed with Sabella. ‘Ahhh. Once upon a time, an angel fell in love with a devil— it ended in chaos.’
Sabella describes him with a Ted Bundy vibe behind his back.
This is full of dark and twisted insane plots that you don’t see coming but ask yourself why?!?!
I absolutely loved this book and if I could give it ten stars I would!!!
