It was temptation that broke the sinner.People say I have everything. They’re wrong. I may have looks, money, and privilege, but I don’t have the one thing that really matters, the one thing I crave: a woman with eyes only for me. I’m searching for my woman—one who will fall to her knees because I’m her king. She’ll wear the crown of my tarnished name, and long for me when I’m not near. And when … I’m not near. And when I am close, she’ll be naked across my lap, feeling the sting of my palm across her milky skin.
You could say I’m a sinner because I’d do anything to have the perfect woman—compliant to my every need and whim—and I’m envious of every couple who walks around naive to the luxury they have.
That’s why I joined The Elite, the most prestigious brotherhood in the south.
It’s the one place that will give me what I cannot have.
Only…the task assigned to me is too much for my jealous eyes.
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak…they’re for The Elite.
Those who envy have no peace.
My name is Sabastian Westbrook.
I am Envy.

Freakin hell I wasn’t expecting that. M N Forgy took me by the hand and put me on one hell of a ride that shook me up and gave me whiplash with the events of this story.
Sebastian’s popularity didn’t fair very well with the end of Wrath and with Envy being his sin we get to see just what makes him tick. His actions are one of a psycho with an envious streak so long it sticks out for a mile.
Don’t get me wrong Sebastian has a sad story to tell and he puts his feeling out there, for us, on a platter. I was actually falling for him at one point. I liked his banter and wit especially his sneaky side. We see it in all its glory.
This story has turned the whole series on its head and I absolutely loved the ending. Well played M. N. Forgy you have created a whole load of new questions for me.
DREAMY’S REVIEW
A handsome psychopath.
THE handsome psychopath.
“I envied her.”
MY MIND IS BLOWN. ERUPTED. NO WAY OF GETTING PIECED BACK TOGETHER.
WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FVCK.
Seriously. I’m sitting here with my jaw wide open and scratching my damn head wondering WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST READ?!?
I DID NOT EXPECT THAT. NOTHING. ANY OF IT.
Envy is definitely more on the faster pace of things. It escalated really quick and to where things went… yeah, it got dark. Pretty fucking dark.
The twists… the turns… MY GOD.
With how Wrath ended, so explosive and violent… I thought I’d get some type of closure and answers, and while I did, MORE QUESTIONS ARISED.
*****
But let’s talk about what we do know. . . 🙂
Sebastian Westbrook is like a loaded gun waiting to pop off.
He is complex. He’s dangerous. He’s a manipulator. He fits his sin to the T. He embodies it. He is ONE with it.
E N V Y.
He is unapologetic about the paths he takes. He will do whatever it takes, even when it’s questionable. He has everything anyone could possibly want, except for one thing.
And that’s his weakness, his vulnerability.
“Seeing someone with something better than me boils my blood. I will not rest until I’ve shown I’m more commendable. That people admire me.”
As you read his book, you continue to see how unhinged he is and he is by far the one you need to keep your eye on. But my love grew for him as the pages turned. His story is addictive and mind-blowing and fast paced. You will devour this quickly, especially with how everything is set up! It exceeds ALL expectations and MORE!
“Lust, Wrath, Pride, Greed, Gluttony—I feel all my brothers sins coursing through me, swirling through me like a tornado ripping everything apart and raining down chaos.”
I didn’t know what to expect or if I should have even expected anything because I’m always blown away by these amazing authors and this well-written series!
Have you joined the Elite? Initiation has already begun. . . Start with LUST, you will not be disappointed!
Five envious and dreamy stars:
4.5 Stars
Woah! This was not what I was expecting to happen! I’m still a little in shock with what I read but fantastic job on keeping me on the edge of my seat! We get a lot of questions answered but we are also left with some new questions as well. Well played with Envy! I am looking forward to what will happen next!
Holy shit what the hell did I just read!!!! Omg so freaking twisted and messed up!! I haven’t read anything from this author so I wasn’t sure what to expect but wow!! Mind blown!!
Sabastian was way worse than I ever thought he was going to be BUT it suits him. I don’t think this series would have him any other way!! The crazy shit going through his mind made me want to scream at him to get a fucking grip!! I knew that ending was coming but the way this story got there…..oh my goodness.
I feel like more could’ve been done with his story though, I feel like I didn’t get all of him…. that he’s more messed up and he really could’ve been more destructive. I need the next sin though!! Like I need it now!!!!! Omg! The very last lines of this story had me jumping up from my work chair and screaming “Ooohh SSHHHIITT!!” Incredible work on this book and want a fun character to get to play with during!
WTH???
This is Book #4 in the Elite Seven Series. OMG! I don’t even know where to begin with this book. It was not at all how I expected it would go. It is the story of Sebastian Westbrook, aka Envy. Envy is his sin. This is the story of how he became a member of The Elite, the most prestigious brotherhood in the south. Sebastian is broken, lonely, and lost. He wants to belong. He gets caught up in wanting to be a part of The Elite. He will do anything to make that happen, but what happens when you take things too far?
It is dark, gritty, twisted, and not your average romance. There were a lot of OMG, what the hell did I just read moments. There were crazy twists and turns I did not see coming.
If you don’t mind dark, this book was a twisted, good read. I recommend reading it. It kept you hanging on wondering what would happen next. Even though some of it was a little disturbing, the plot was well-written and kept me turning the pages as fast as I could. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. The ending was a holy sh*t moment! It definitely left me wanting more of The Elite!

5 Cranky Stars
My mouth is still hung open in shock. I keep saying holy crap repeatedly in my head and quite frankly out loud. So much my cats are looking at me like ok we get it. I wasn’t expecting that nope not even a little bit. I knew Sebastian had a story and it was a juicy one but that I wasn’t expecting.
Sebastian is that feeling you get when you feel someone is watching you but you just can’t see them. He lurks and hides and is darn good at it. Sebastian grew up poor always struggling until tragedy landed him in his filthy rich uncle’s world and now, he wants for nothing. He takes and takes and yet it’s never enough. He wants to have it all even a woman to stand by his side. When he makes his way into The Elite he thinks he has it all but that one missing piece and that is when he locks eyes on Sabella. Only problem is is that Sabella is very locked down because her brother is Wrath. When they begin to hang out as friends he starts an obsession and she wants nothing to do with it. Things get messy and The Brotherhood is running around in a blind fury.
I’m still in shock sorry. I know I know calm down. That ending though I’m still trying to make sense of it. What is that place? So many questions and I want all the answers. I kind of feel bad for Sebastian. He is like an uber rich Ted Bundy. I’m now excited bout Greed. He is very quiet so I’m wondering what his story will involve.
Omg!!! What did she put me through! I kept page turning and wanted to know more. At first I felt bad for him then when it kept getting closer and how he was I hated him.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!! I need more Elite seven
I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars because honestly, it deserves way more stars! Holly Freaking Hells balls WTF did I just read! I need a spoiler group to vent my emotions a.s.a.p! This book is by far the best one in the series and if this is how M.N. Forgy writes I need to start binge reading her books like now. I don’t know if I should sing her praises or continue rocking back and forth in my corner telling myself “it’s not your fault!”Envy is by far the most messed up in the head than any of the other Elite members. He has no remorse for what he has to do and just gets it done. This book was perfect for Envy I don’t want to post any spoiler cause I think everyone should be screaming right there next to me for weeks to come about this book!
Love it so much!!!!!
We’re more than halfway through the multi-authored Elite Seven series, and M.N. Forgy’s Envy has just edged out the first three and has become my favorite among the currently available novellas so far. This felt the most different among the books, the one that had no romance but had a rawness to it courtesy of a main character that had almost no redeeming qualities to him. Who says a villain can’t be a compelling titular character in a tale as twisted as the one Forgy has weaved together? Sebastian Westbrook is a force to be reckoned with…that is, until he forces his way into the much whispered about Elite and places himself in the cross hairs of the powers that be.
This was, by no means, a romance, which makes me wonder why it’s cataloged under New Adult and College Romance. Sebastian is a sociopath, plain and simple, and like many a-sociopath before him, he uses a charm offensive on those around him, particularly his prey. Does the guy have any redeeming qualities? Maybe if you consider his feeling brotherhood with the six other members of his batch in the Elite; however, the things that he did could very well have me stepping back on my saying that he has “almost” no redeeming qualities. He doesn’t. Maybe what happens beyond the cliffhanger ending will give him absolution…or maybe not. Five stars go to Envy.
What da f-ck did I just read?? (lol) I don’t even know what to say. I legit think this one was my favorite of the series, but I still didn’t like it. #SorryNotSorry It was basically a rehashing of a bunch of prior events. The Elite and task aspect was a blip. Again we had a bunch of pointless OW sex scenes. However, at least this one didn’t force us into an underdeveloped romance because there is NO romance in this book at all. Kudos to the author for that because I personally think all the books thus far would have been a lot better without the romances. That aspect alone earned this one an extra star. Sebastian could have been a very intriguing character if the book was longer allowing for more development. As it stands, I was just left feeling “meh” about him. Last, we again end on a cliffhanger. If I wasn’t holding out for K’s book I would probably call it a day at this point because so far this series has been super disappointing to me. Oh well, onwards…
SIDE NOTE: I think this is the ONLY book so far that TRULY matched the sin it was named after.
Envy by M.N. Forgy is another stunning story in Elite Seven Series. This story is about the deepest part of human mind that is violent, destructive yet beautiful. This story is about raw passion, darkest desires, dangerous obsession and complicated mind games beyond your wildest imagination.
This is the turn of Sebastian Westbrook aka Envy’s story. He is probably the most twisted and complex character in this series. I say probably because this amazing series is surprising me with each story. I hate this guy for some of the cruel and heartless things he did. But my heart also aches for the lonely brooding isolated man who only craves for some validation from people in his life. This is why he wants to be in Elite Seven. His desperation to find someone to love him precious has reached an obsessive level. And Samuel Gunner aka Wrath’s sister is his new focus. When will Envy stop? Or will his extreme efforts will destroy everything?
I will ask you to go in with an open mind. Sebastian is very unconventional “hero”. He is ruthless, merciless and almost heartless. But he has captured my heart nevertheless. The story of the Elite Seven is also progressing slowly. We can see the dirty power games going on behind the mask of this secret society. M.N.Forgy has given the story innumerable twists and turns. I was gripping my seat all through it. And the ending? Well I have gone completely crazy! Surprise, shock, denial- nothing can describe my feelings with the “ending” of Sebastian.
M.N. Forgy has written a powerful and intriguing story of love, power, emotions and passions. The story was epic and mindblowing. We are a step closer to the true secrets of Elite Seven.
Received ARC for Honest Review
F@ck me sideways I am just stunned stupid right now! I have never hated or felt so much sympathy for a character till now! Envy my gosh broke me! His story is sad and depressing and my heart hurts for the pain he has faced and no guidance or love! All he wanted, all he needed was always within reach but he was never able to grasp it! I seriously don’t know where this twisted web is leading to I just know I’m going to have to be on guard because every time I feel I know what’s coming I’m stunned and my world is thrown off course!
I give Forgy props for her ability to take you on a crazy ride with no way off! She created a character that is so dynamic and so emotionally driven that you can’t help but feel what he feels! Amazing writing and wow just wow!!
M.N. Forgy, you have got yourself a new stalker.. uhh I mean reader here!!
My adrenaline was pulsing throughout this story!!
Finally some answers!!!!
Envy, is a top read for sure! Forgy really gets into a jaded mindset with Sebastian. I did not see him or how this turned out coming. At all. I’m beyond shooketh.
Call me crazy but Sebastian was amazing! He was a shadow lurking. Poor guy just wanted some love and friendships! I’m slightly sad his story isn’t ending paired up like the last Elite Seven stories.
You definitely have to read all previous stories to understand this one better. But trust me. Stick with it. Because this book will have you frothing at the mouth demanding more. It’s worth it!!
The Elite Seven – a secret society originated in 1942. The Elite is for life. Where sacrifices must be made to show your dedication to the organization. A brotherhood forged with initiations where your sin is a reflection or version of your abilities and personality. Seven brothers, Seven sins: Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Pride, Envy, Greed, and Wrath.
Envy: Sebastian Westbrook has anything that money can buy, but he doesn’t have what he desires the most. His discontentment and his recklessness lands him at St. Augustine. Sebastian resents that all his life he has had to fight for some sort of affection since he was a child. With new opportunities and newfound brotherhood camaraderie, he believes this is his time to get everything he has ever wanted. When Sabella Gunner, Wrath’s sister, catches his eye he knows that she is “the one”, that she will love him and give him what he wants. When passion turns to obsession; a crime is committed, an oath is broken, an ultimate betrayal. When the smoke clears and the blood has dried, will he still be among the Elite?
MN Forgy has kicked it up a notch and set this series ablaze. She serves it fast and hard and leaves your mouth flapping in the wind. You’re barrelling down the track and then Forgy slams on the brakes and leaves you teetering over the edge!
This is the fourth vice in a series of cardinal sins. Sebastian’s character illustrated his sin perfectly. Although this is Envy’s story, I don’t think that this is the last that we will hear of him.
4.5* Envious Stars!
“I’d give Michael Myers a run for his money in the stalking territory. Man, I hate that word. It’s just intense curiosity.” – Sebastian (Envy)
This is the 4th book in The Elite Seven series, and I was NOT prepared for the story and character that M.N. Forgy brought with it!!! WOW – Sebastian, otherwise known as Envy, is a dark and twisted character. Up until this book, you know that he has some secrets and crazy habits, but you will be shocked to find out exactly how deep those run.
Each book in this series divulges the backstory of these characters, and then tells the story of how each character arrives to enter The Elite Seven. I knew Sebastian’s story would be twisted and different, but boy did he take a crazy turn!! My mind is still blown about this character. You just want to love him so much because of his past and what he has endured; however, he slips through your fingers…he is devious, bold, fearless, and honestly mentally unstable. As his story unfolds, you realize just how loose his hinges are and know that something big is going to come of it.
I could not put this one down. I read it in one setting and it rattled my nerves, blew my mind, and I was awe-struck by this author’s writing skills of this character. My heart rate spiked, and I felt like it was me in those pages running from something that I knew could hurt me. Reading Envy felt like watching a train-wreck…you know it’s going to be horrific, but you just can’t help but turn away. It was addictive and mind-blowing.
I have grown to love these characters over the last 4 books, and I loved every second that each of them made an appearance in Envy. I love the tidbits of future characters whose stories are yet to come, and that is what makes this series brilliant. Each author leaves breadcrumbs for the next and keeps the reader sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for more. Well done MN Forgy! I am officially a fan!
If ever there was a psychological thriller to chill you to the bones then ENVY ticks all the boxes. Book three in the Elite Seven series is so far removed from what we have seen to this point you will not believe what M.N. Forgy has in stall for you. This story is totally enthralling from the first page, an exceptional read from start to finish, and don’t even get me started on the main character, you have to read him to believe him!
Sebastian Westbrook, what can I say about you? Other than the fact that he is ENVY personified. The struggle he faces, he covets everything he sees, from relationships to fast cars. But his one sticking point is that he wants a woman to call his own. Only I am not too sure if he will be able to find someone to live up to his expectations. He is extremely intense and has serious impulse control, he is the devil behind the beautiful face. Ruthless, with no empathy. Serious abandonment issues, I mean the list could go on forever.
Sebastian makes for an extremely interesting character, you cannot help but become a little bit addicted to him – is that wrong? He certainly elicited a vast array of emotions from myself. Half the time I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, I was in total shock of a lot of his actions. I am going to keep this review short and sweet because the more I talk about him the more I feel I am going to give away and there are so many surprises in this book it will blow you freaking mind.
Four sins down, how much further down the rabbit hole can we go! Happy reading ladies
Those who envy have no peace.
My name is Sebastian Westbrook.
I am ENVY
Sebastian has all the material comforts in live, he has riches, health, happiness but is desperately seeking for the one woman who will be madly in love with him.
“He’s super sweet, but I get this Ted Bundy feeling around him, you know?”
Of the four books that have already been released in this series, Sebastian is the one character that had me jaw slacking during the whole book and glued to my iPad.
He is totally different from his brothers and is unapologetic about who he is and what he wants.
“It’s funny how people think that unknown evils lurk at night, but it’s the ones that blend in during the light of day you should really be worried about. ME.”
While I was a bit surprised with the task Sebastian got from the she-Lucifer incarnation, I was glad he made it into the Elite without a hitch.
I did wonder if he had gotten a similar task as the other three, if he would have completed it with the same ease (and glee).
Envy’s story is a shocking one, but I think I know where this is going and must say, if that is true, this was a brilliantly set twist.
Envy is the fourth book in the Elite Seven series. This is Sabastian Westbrook’s story.
Sabastian has everything in life but the one thing he truly craves.
“A woman to be madly in love with me—a woman who would drop to her knees and wear a black crown marred from my family name just to be close to me. I’ll whisper the terrible things I’ve done, and she’ll love me anyway.”
He doesn’t have trouble finding a woman except the ones who want him are too easy. It’s not what he wants. He wants someone special to love and love him in return.
It’s not hard to figure out Sabastian has mental issues. He gets jealous when he sees a couple experiencing what he doesn’t have. It leads him to dark thoughts and it scares him with how easy it is for it to become a reality.
He meets Sam’s sister Sabella and he’s convinced she’s the one. The one he’s been looking for and will do anything to have her.
Sabastian will have your jaw dropping repeatedly. Add Lillian’s devious plans and it gets even crazier. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Greed, the fifth book in the Elite Seven.

LUST, PRIDE, WRATH, ENVY, GREED, GLUTTONY, SLOTH
This is book #4, Envy, Book #4 in the Elite 7 Series
In this story, Envy is Sebastian Westbrook. Sebastian has grown up in a privileged life. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, who gave him everything but love, as they didn’t want children of their own. Sebastian is a master manipulator. Sebastian wants to find a woman who accepts him for him and loves him the way he needs. Sebastian is a great computer hacker. Most of his knowledge is just from being on computers and learning from experience. He’s not so much a book learner. He doesn’t want to go to college, but, his uncle is forcing him.
Sebastian is a lurker – like when you feel someone is watching you, it’s probably Sebastian, who is hiding in the corner. It’s like he’s a psychopath.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
4.5 Stars
Sebastian Westbrook had everything he wanted but not one thing that he truly needed. While not thrilled with the changes in his life, he knew this was his opportunity to take what he craved. If envy is the root of all evil then he’d gladly serve his soul on a silver platter to finally own the one that caught his heart.
From the ending of the last book I had certain expectations for this one. I’m thrilled the author ticked off pretty much everything I wanted. The story also focused more on Sebastian than the Elite in general which helped minimize repetitiveness of past books.
I can safely say Sebastian is my favorite one so far. His motivation was a breath of fresh air because it’s different from the sins before him. He had a specific vulnerability that is my weakness when it comes to being drawn to a character. And I loved how he was unapologetic with the path he chose.
Envy is a story of unrestrained ambition. I love the direction this series is going so I’m hoping the next book will keep the momentum.
