Entrance (Thornhill Trilogy Book 1) 269 pages.“A real page turner it had me hooked from the start with an intelligent plot and racy prose.” ML H.Clarissa Moone’s a smart, quirky art history grad with an almost unhealthy obsession for vintage clothes. When she lands a job working for the enigmatic Aidan Thornhill, she doesn’t quite know what to expect—but certainly not romance.Aidan is a self-made … certainly not romance.
Aidan is a self-made billionaire whose early life is shrouded in mystery. Fleeing a scandal, he joined the army and, years later, returned from Afghanistan with a head full of bad memories and a million dollars left to him by a dead friend. Now, he’s one of LA’s wealthiest bachelors—and he’s also smoking hot.
But even this billionaire veteran didn’t count on the voluptuous Clarissa. With rumors already circulating, Aidan breaks his golden rule: one steamy night on his private yacht, he seduces Clarissa. When he discovers her lack of experience, instead of running, he takes control. Things are about to get filthier than Clarissa ever imagined.
Aidan’s dark past is never far behind. Determined to stir trouble, three figures—an old army comrade, a spurned ex-con, and a spoiled old flame with sharp claws—emerge to reap revenge.
Rising to defend his new lover, the former soldier charges headlong into battle, determined to have Clarissa even if it means losing everything, while she must choose whether to ignore the rumors and continue to bathe in Aidan’s charms… Or leave her dream job.

So much going on in this storyline and I definitely recommend this book!
I enjoyed listening to this audio book. I am in love with Aidan. I enjoyed listening to the romance of Clarissa and Aidan. This story ends on a cliffhanger and I am looking forward to listening to the next part of this series.
I received an ARC of this audio book and this is my voluntary review.
I loved listening to this book. The narrators voice was very soothing to listen to. The book was amazing. It was a beautiful romance book that I’d recommend to everyone. I couldn’t have been more please. I think I have a new favorite author now.
Loved the combination of believability, chemistry and intelligent characters, with intelligent dialogue and great chemistry. Fast falls are often not believable, but this one was. Truly enjoyed it!
Narration: The sound of the voices, and the clarity, five stars. The cadence and inflection… need some work. Cadence and inflection were even throughout the book, although the emotions and situations were not. At times, felt the the narrator just crossed over from being a story time reader at the library. I was pleasantly surprised however, than about a third of the way in, my mind adjusted to it and it ceased to become a distraction, allowing me to enjoy the great writing.
I received a free ebook and narration in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first J.J. Sorel’s book. This is the first book in the Thornhill Trilogy, a Billionaire romance. Clarissa and Aidan’s office romance is complex, and captivating, filled with drama, and angst. They share an instant attraction/lust. The characters are well developed, and intriguing. The story ends with a cliffhanger. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Enlighten. Mehgan Andrzejewski and Thomas Hart did a good job with the narration.

Thornhill Trilogy Book 1
Narrated by Mehgan Andrzejewski, Thomas Hart
What happens when your reputation precedes you? Aiden Thornhill’s new assistant is beautiful and smart. She does not impress easily, but there is something about her new boss that catches her eye. Maybe it’s the ease of conversation, or his incredible eyes. When the chance arises, the two become an item. But secrets are kept, and as we know, they always come to surface. As Clarissa thinks she is getting to know her new boyfriend, more information about his past keeps cropping up. Where will this relationship go? I am enjoying this story. A lot. Yes, it’s got steamy scenes, but the complexity of the characters is what I truly enjoy. Clarissa is quirky, enjoys vintage clothing and music and is just a fascinating character. She’s not rich in money, but she has a lot of ambition, love and patience. Aiden is extremely complex. He is hiding something and I want to know what it is! Bits and pieces are coming out, but I can’t wait til it all comes out. It’s a cliffhanger, so I need to get the next book queued up and ready to go.
Mehgan Andrzejewski and Thomas Hart narrate this story, and they are cast perfectly. Meghan gives that quirkiness to Clarissa, adds some spunk and emotions, and even has us wanting to give her a good shake once in a while. She brings out all her eccentricities. Hart becomes Aiden, with his charismatic voice, sucking Clarissa in and understandably so.I enjoyed this combination of voices and look forward to book 2.

Clarissa lands a job as the PA for a billionaire, and it all gets complicated. Aidan has LOTS of baggage in his past, and he seems to think the peel like an onion approach is best. While great for plotting, Aidan keeps letting other people tell Clarissa his secrets. If she wasn’t so nauseatingly smitten, she would have smacked him upside the head and demanded the rest of his secrets by now. But other than Aidan’s lack of upfront communication, the only real issue I have with this book is that they keep saying that everyone is sensitive. First of all, if you are going to have sensitive characters running around your book, show don’t tell…every other chapter. Second, being sensitive is not a blanket excuse for every decision you make.
But I still enjoyed the plot, the cast of characters is interesting, and I can’t wait for book 2!
A mysterious billionaire and a classy assistant fall in love as if they were fated to be together. His colorful past haunts their relationship as their relationship progresses. The story ends in a bit of cliffhanger as it is part one, but characters are well developed and storyline is compelling with lots of romance. There are lots of steamy scenes so if that’s not what you like, might need to skip a number of pages.
How does a girl who’s an art history graduate, into retro 60’s fashion and a virgin attrwact a self made philanthropic billionaire? Clarissa is hired as a PA for a man she’s never met, Aiden Thornhill. When she finally does meet Aiden, she realizes that he’s the man she thought was the estate’s gardener, not her boss. Though she’s been warned away Clarissa starts to develop feelings for Aiden and it seems he too feels something for her. In fact he feels more for her than any other woman he’s ever been with. Clarissa is very unworldly and innocent but she trusts Aiden with her heart even though she’s afraid she may get hurt. Unfortunately no matter how hard they try there are outside forces at work to bring Aiden down and make Clarissa miserable.
