By the time he found out, it was too late.
We tried to deny our desire, but our attraction was too enticing.
Eight years ago, I gave Grayson Price a piece of my heart.

We are all enticed by the forbidden, so of course i wanted to read this book. Have to say that with an age gap of 15 years i wasn’t sure it would work for me, but i was very wrong!!
River Reed, has had a crush on her fathers best friend, Grayson Price since she first met him at 9 years old. Now coming 21 and seeing him again after years of a gap, she realises that her feelings for him are just as strong…. but can or will she act on them?
Grayson is a total workaholic, he doesn’t get himself attached to people and seems to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. He takes his responsibilities seriously and is thrown totally off balance by his attraction to River!!
I loved that although River was young she knew her mind, and was determined to to entice Grayson, and make him acknowledge his feelings! She knew what and who she wanted and she went for it!!
Grayson struggled, but he also knew that his feelings were winning the battle with his head and his heart!
This author give us a forbidden love with characters that just felt so real, and made it all so believable. The emotional turmoil they tangle with had my heart in bits for them. They brought out the best in each other, and sharing their journey was utter pleasure from beginning to end!! I started this book with no expectations and a little luke warm but it sure didn’t take it long to heat up!!! its a book that will restore your faith in love and families. Keep fighting for your dream!!
I realized during my read of Tempted, this is my first read by Ava Harrison. I felt this story in my soul. Bailey and Drew’s road to a HEA was a hard fought, break your heart, take your breathe, twisty, tragic, but make you cheer for second chances.
Bailey desperately needs a job. Although, working a night club is not in her best interest, she needs the money it can provide. She instantly makes a friend in Carter, a bartender and manager, at the club. Who btw, I would love to read a story about. Once Bailey lands her eyes on Drew Larson, the club owner, she is so drawn to him she feels it to her core.
Drew is a rich, former party boy who open Silver to cater to New York City’s elite. Drew’s reaction to Bailey is just as instantaneous as hers to him. Part of his reaction to Bailey is she reminds him of his past. It makes him want to help her, give her purpose, and protect her.
Bailey falls in easily as a server at the club and Drew recognizes her potential and offers her a chance to grow. And, despite all the warnings, Bailey finds that she cannot avoid her attraction to Drew. When they both give up the fight it is an explosion of filthy and raw pleasure.
But, fear controls Bailey until she realizes that Drew is just as broken as she is. This drives her to want to submit to him, and be every thing he needs and desires.
They are kindred spirits and once they begin to open up about their pasts, they easily fall into both a personal and work relationship.
But, actions of another employee who wants Drew for herself, sends their relationship into a tailspin. And, sends Bailey reeling and back to her past coping issues. And, when Drew’s past comes front and center their obstacles mount. The road to their HEA is not smooth or without any detours.
“I love you. I could never hate you.” His lips hover over mine. “I missed you.” He places a soft kiss only lips. “Every day you were gone, I craved you, your body, your heart, but lost importantly, your soul. Because that’s what you are to me, Bae. You’re my soul.”
What can I say about this book? It was bad, really bad. I thought that by having well-known best selling authors recommend this book it would be good, but that wasn’t the case. I was bored throughout the book. I did not care about the characters at all, plus they were immature. Choose carefully when deciding to read this story.
Ava Harrison is the queen of difficult storylines. I haven’t been able to read a lot of angst lately, but the author tells such an amazing tale that keeps you so engrossed, I always pick up her latest release.
I love a workplace romance. I love troubled characters. I love the STEAM. And, I love it how we get a well-fought happy ending. You won’t be able to put Tempted down.
I received an ARC of this from a Facebook giveaway
I read this in two sittings: before bed and when I woke up to the afternoon. I couldn’t start my Sunday without finishing this book down. “One more chapter” became the motto from 60-80% through the book. After that, I was near the end, so what is the point of stopping?
I enjoyed this book so much and I think it’s one of the best age gap books done to date. I loved how nothing happened for a long time and even though the interest and attraction was there from the beginning, the book took the time to build the angst (a perfect level of angst) and build both characters to stand on their own, and then together.
For River, she loved him since she was 12. When he helped her through a rough day, she formed a childhood crush on him, but then hasn’t seen him since. Grayson’s attraction to River only started in the present, of course, but the dilemma of River being his friend’s daughter as well as just underage kept him from doing anything. When she turns 21 and legal, it’s only his morals holding him back then.
It’s only after she turns of age that anything happens. I’m sure this was done on purpose from a writing standpoint, so it may be a taboo story, but it’s in the bounds of legality. At the same time, the author didn’t have to start the story so long before her 21st birthday, but this timeframe allowed the characters’ problems to be introduced as well as their attraction for one another.
River is an awesome character. I love her backstory and her continuing story, beyond Grayson. Her rough childhood, not-great parents, the constant abandonment was all so interesting. The author did an amazing job showing how this abandonment rolled over into trauma for her and River goes a little down at the news from her stepmother. Grayson too has his own little sad backstory, about his commitment to working and his avoidance of his Hamptons house but it wasn’t as good as River’s. His character’s story is more focused on his morals and how he doesn’t want to cross the lines and hook up with River.
Once they do get together in the last half of the book, their romance is hot and sweet! The sex is steamy but their relationship is extremely sweet, especially more toward the end when things are getting so real. I laughed so hard when she was stuck under his desk.
I don’t have one negative thing to say about this book. It’s the first I’ve read from the author, but I will definitely be checking out more.

But you don’t go because, truly, there’s nobody for you but me.”
Honeymoon – Lana Del Rey
What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Eight years ago, River fell in love with Grayson Price. She thought she’d never see him again, but when she does, she’s twenty and he’s thirty-six. And he’s also back to being her dad’s best friend.
“Maybe the way that I’m living is killing me.”
F*ck it I love you – Lana Del Rey
This is my first Ava Harrison read. I will definitely read more stories by this author. I finished the novel in one sitting. Usually, I go to sleep right after I finish my daily book, but after this one, I needed a couple of hours to process. The first pages drew me in. There was something lively and sunny about Grayson’s introductory chapter although he’s such a control-freak and mean-ish guy. His relationship with his family was adorable. I’m definitely checking out the other siblings’ books! He’s the type of rich dude that doesn’t necessarily boast his wealth. I mean, yeah, he did some rich people things, but they were just the cherry on top of the cake. He’s a gorgeous leading man, inside and out, and that’s a fact.
River is the type of leading girl that I relate to a lot. She felt like a real girl of her age to me. Her insecurities and her flaws were accurate AF. I needed some time to deal with this book inertly because she went through some tough emotional situations. The things she went through were heartbreaking. I loved her development. The novel was driven by her emotional journey. I felt so much empathy for her. I ended up cheering so hard for her whenever she SNAPPED! Her back and forth with Grayson was incredible. I love her with Grayson. Their chemistry is hot. They broke my heart multiple times in this novel and I’m just the reader. I almost cried and this isn’t the type of book I would normally cry for like WTF!
I recommend this read to lovers of steamy age gap romance with essence to it, strong and overcoming leading girls, and an adorable and tortured leading man.
Gosh! This book left me with all the happy feelings and a huge smile. This book was fantastic, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The writing was really great, the connection and chemistry between River and Grayson just perfect, all their encounters and scenes together always felt so much more than just an “affair”.
As for the narration. Ugh, forgive me, I know I am late to the party lol, but it’s the first time listening to Virginia Rose and I adored her narration, it’s really perfect, from her tone, inflection, emotions portrayed, she’s wonderful! Sebastian York was perfect as always, his voice portrayed Greyson perfectly.
Grayson is very serious and has some issues. River is sweet but has issues also. River has always loved Grayson but he is her father’s best friend and 15 years older than her. They haven’t seen each other in years she is 2 month shy of being 21 and he doesn’t know who she is and hits on her until her Dad walks up. They keep running into each other and it’s harder to ignore the chemistry. Can they be more ? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended
A Loving, Angst Filled & Thought Provoking Read… I’ve written several times in my reviews this year about the concept of fate bringing people together for very specific reasons. This idea, that there is a partner, a most perfect life mate created for us by the universe at large. It’s an intriguing concept, one I’ve pondered often throughout my forty-plus years on this planet.
However, even if you believe the universe creates a matching soul for every being, our literal “other half”, a fated mate born designed to complete you. The reality exists that the pair still have to recognize it for themselves down here in the real world. And deeper still, they have to be brave enough to accept it, to allow it to play out, and to not let fear or uncertainty dissuade them from grabbing hold of it when they find it.
And THAT is what this book is really about.
Yes, “Entice” by Ava Harrison is, on the surface, an older man/younger woman “daddy” trope-sque story. Complete with some of the silly stereotypical “trope” trappings all too common within this domain. But wonderfully it also offers readers much beyond the typical. In fact “Entice” is more so, a book about overcoming fears. And not just everyday ordinary fears, this story is about overcoming the deeply rooted fears brought on by trauma. It’s about overcoming those life experiences so troubling, so damaging, that they literally stitch themselves into your soul and prevent you from truly living life, accepting and giving love, and being happy in the here and now.
And honestly it was hard to read. But not because it was a bad story, but rather, because it’s was so painfully relatable. So straight forward and honest is Harrison’s prose, the story will niggle at your mind for days. It will make you wonder about what you’ve allowed to pass you by in life because of fear. This book nonchalantly, unflinchingly strikes a proverbial chord by stroking your innermost insecurities. It reminds you that family traumas, especially with your parents, scar deeply and often permanently. And the inner battles often fought to overcome the emotional armor erected to protect ourselves from the pain, are hard to actually win.
And despite finding River to be a bit more whimpering and weak than truly necessary, I enjoyed this book immensely. It made me stop and ponder in addition to sigh longingly River and Grayson. And any romance that can easily intertwine a bigger message, a bigger meaning, and life lesson, is a good and necessary read in my opinion.
I absolutely loved this relationship. River and Greyson had a true relationship and not an artificial lust. This was a forbidden romance that blossomed over time. The stars and sea definitely aligned with these two hearts. The author did a great job in allowing the reading to get invested in this relationship by showing the strength it took to prove that true love does not have an age limit.
I have loved all of Ava Harrison’s stories. I always gravitate to stories where there is a (daughter falls in love with their dad’s friend). I have enjoyed listening to all of Sebastian York and Virginia Rose. I call them the stories where you can jump into the roller coaster ride of emotions. I like that there is drama and heartbreaking moments. Every time I read a story from Ava it feels so real when I read them. These are the stories that will last on my heart forever. I listened to the story and also enjoyed the ebook.
River and Grayson were absolutely lovely. These two had a way to my heart that only Ava’s characters achieved.
Needed to say that they had my nerves too but it only made the read even better.
“I was the glass. I was broken. But maybe I could make something beautiful, too.”
When you feel like you don’t belong, like you wander adrift, you need to know that at some point you will find your home, that person that makes you feel like at home.
I loved this book! Ava Harrison has knocked it out if the park with this story of forbidden love. Grayson and River were perfect. The tension and angst had me holding my breath. The heat was scorching. I could not stop reading and had to finish in one sitting. I will definitely be recommending it to every one!
Every book Ms. Harrison writes is so moving. They have a deeper message and is so much more than the surface trope that is used. We start with an older man/younger woman trope, but we get something which is so much more. As always these pages contained a perfectly crafted moving story and was just a magical life lesson.
Overall 5 Stars

Grayson’s Story was not what I was expecting .. it was so much more !! The emotions, anxiety, hurt and true LOVE were ALL in this installment !!
River and Grayson’s story started out as extraordinary circumstances but a true memory lasted with them for a life time !!
Yes there were times in the book where Tyler wasn’t the only one that wanted to punch Gray in his face but memories and heartache are hard to shake when you are trying to do the right thing .. BUT .. when true love shines through you have to do something and anything in your power to make it work !! Because your soul mate only comes around once in a lifetime and if you miss you opportunity because you are thick headed you will regret it for the rest of your life !!
With the power and stability that Greyson has he makes sure that River is and always will be HAPPY !!
Where do I start to review this book?!? I’m a big fan of Ava and her books and every time I think she can’t possibly write another amazing 5* book she somehow manages to make it even better. Ava’s writing is so real and heartfelt that it totally makes you part of the story. Entice is an amazing, emotional, romantic, heartfelt and forbidden story that will captivate you in every way. To say this is a must read book doesn’t do it justice. The story although not new to the romance world is written in such a way that makes it real, it’s about love and romance not just lust. Gray is a great character, closed off, serious and lonely. River is much younger than Gray and free spirited but she’s always had a thing for him. Years later they are back in each other’s life’s and to her a 12 year gap doesn’t seem that much but she’ll have a hard time changing Grays mind and there’s also her father to consider. This story is a sexy, emotional rollercoaster of awesomeness!!!
I absolutely loved this book it was absolutely amazing I couldn’t put it down
This book really has it all!! A very steamy forbidden, slow burn. Passionate, angsty amd full of surprises. River and Grayson were such wonderful characters. Couldn’t put this one down once I started
4.5 Forbidden Love Stars!
This slow burn, forbidden romance was so poignant, and steamy. Grayson is a successful business man but aloof in his relationships. He keeps everyone at a distance, never letting anyone, including his siblings, past his defenses. When he reconnects with an old friend, Tyler, he is stunned by the beautiful woman Tyler’s daughter, River, has become. River has had a crush on Grayson for years. Now that she is home from college, she and Grayson are thrown together, working on an important job for her father. The sparks fly between them, but the guilt of their age gap keeps Grayson from acting on it. Their relationship is complicated and their fears govern their actions. Soon they are incapable of ignoring the fiery chemistry between them, but feel the need to keep it a secret. What could possibly go wrong with keeping secrets? Sebastian York, and Virginia Rose are amazing as they bring this moving and passionate story to life. They are so perfect as Grayson and River, and beautifully conveyed the depth and complexity of all their emotions. I always love their work and was totally captivated in their performance from start to finish.
Entice- Ava Harrison
Hand on a bible, this book was a-flipping-mazing.
Broken hero.
Kick a**, young heroine.
It is a slightly taboo subject I guess, the dad’s best friend and his daughter.
Which I’m all for!
But… that’s the surface plot. The story is so much deeper than that.
Insane chemistry mixed with unbelievable depth is the perfect recipe in this story. I think this May be my first Ava book. It will not be my last!
I would hazard to say one of my top 2019 top reads so far. Why do I love a begrudging hero???
Grayson and River are an epic pair in a phenomenal tale that I highly recommend toy read. Today.
