-This is a typical plot of a handsome, dashing hero and a beautiful, feisty, intelligent heroine who meet under unusual circumstances with both characters purposely omitting to mention their real identities . It is a good read because the story flows well from the dialogue and interactions of the characters . The H and h get to know each other, …
Loved it!
Excellent author. Wonderful book. Since I have finished it. I have purchased two more to read in this series.
Hard to put down!
One of the best books I have read this summer!!!!! The entire series is incredible – you will want to stay home from work to read…..
could not stand the old timey language, it was TOO old timey
I really loved the characters in the story. I have read some of the later books in the series and didn’t feel they had to be read in order. I thought Trevor was a believable character. Caroline was a little too dramatic for me. Good story.
Good reminder of the importance of family & friends. Plus humorous courtship and early marriage mistakes one needs to correct to build a lasting relationship.
Mostly intriguing with interesting characters although I got so annoyed with the heroine after a while that I thought she was a jerk.
Love the Old English introduction to each story. Gives a basis for the main character of the book. Each book in the series is linked in history and time of the books. Heartfelt stories. Loved them all.
Loved the original plot, and the play between two strong main characters.
I enjoy reading the Brethren series.
Too much explicit sex. The virgin that doesn’t let the main character know that she is not a kept woman was a bit hard to swallow.
Really enjoyed!
liked this book and the 2nd in series but then the storylines grew weak
I found Enter the Brethern a delightful story with witty twists and turns. The main characters Trevor and Caroline engaging, resourceful, independent, and at the same time charming. It was a page turner that totally kept my interest to the very last page.
Although I liked the book and the two main characters, the author was so busy setting up the next books in the series that the there are several characters who are thrown in without much introduction or information. The result is a lot of confusion and as a reader I had to constantly ask “Who is this again?” The end seemed rushed, and again was …
I love Barbara Devlin’s writing. This, as with all of this series, is a great read! She’s worth bookmarking.
I ended up reading the whole series because I got caught up in the characters and their lives!
The ending makes you think the villain is still alive. Must read another of her books to see if I’m right.
