I loved Tucker so much and was Excited when we got his and Karsyn’s story. In Suppression we see that Karsyn Caught feelings for Tucker and that made him run from her. It’s been a year since they broke up and Tucker is realizing he made the worst mistake of his life and will do anything to get his Syn back. As he tries to win her back, they both have to come clean and be one hundred percent ho eat with each other and learn to trust each other all over again. There were a lot of ups and downs, twists and turns, and I especially loved how Karsyn stood up for herself against the guy that traumatized her. I hope we get Cutter’s story.

Sometimes men should come with warning labels…
Men are the most stubborn creatures on two legs and regrettably I’m no exception that’s why I’m paying the price for being a fool who totally trashed the best thing I ever had.
Now I’m reduced to acting almost like a freaking stalker in hopes of possibly catching a few seconds.
Yeah I know he’s over there starring at me I’m just not sure I’m ready to forget the last time we were together.
Tucker was trying to convey his message to a roomful of people while maintaining his cool persona.
Karsyn knew he wasn’t winning many of them over but she knew his proposal was the best thing for there little town; so of course she stepped up.
I’m not about to look a gift horse or any other lucky stars for granted because I just received my biggest break and I’m not going to watch it go by.
I know she’s not really ready for this; for us being this close but I’m willing to let her run this time.
Yeah I’m very well aware of the fact it took less time to end us then it will to mend us and the first step is to admit I was totally in the wrong.
And the second step well I left her something I know with bring hopefully a smile to her sad face.
I can’t believe Tucker put so much of himself in a simple card but now how can I expect such much honesty from him; but I’m holding back my own baggage.
I thought I’d moved past this phase but right now it does seem to matter how I try to convince myself I’m still okay.
My girl didn’t sound like herself and no matter we still have tons of issues I’m always gonna be there for her.
This has to be one of the hardest moments in my life listening as my poor girl lays the truth all out for me; and I can tell she afraid I’ll stop wanting her.
But who knows maybe just maybe with a little luck and a lot of free advice from couples who’ve been there and totally conquered their own problems; we might have a chance as well.
This story shows us that when both people aren’t in the same place emotionally a relationship just won’t work but it also shows that it can with time and caring be put back together.
Change can happen within yourself and you can be willing to put in the work to have what you didn’t realize you even wanted to begin with.
Kar and Tucker are people who both have some growing to do not only for each other but for themselves and what’s to come!
Excellent story with sizzle, action and suspense!
I really enjoyed watching Tucker figure out what he was going to do to get his Karsyn back after he decimated her emotionally. The worst thing a person can do when someone tells them they love them is leave. Of course Karsyn was used to people leaving as soon as they knew her secret, which is why no one in Laurel Springs except her parents knew the horror Karsyn had experienced first hand as a very young girl.
When Tuck decides he can’t survive without Syn, he does everything he can to show her he’s learned from his mistakes and grown into the man he wanted to be. More importantly, he wants to be the man Karsyn needs him to be, and when Karsyn finally gives up her own secrets Tucker just gets stuck in more closely with her. But their journey isn’t over yet, and both of them will have to make the hardest decisions of their lives just to make it back to each other.
The sexiness in this book was HOTTT, and made even more enjoyable because Laramie layered over the physicality with the some of the best emotions I’ve ever read in sex scenes. Their love for each other was tangible, from the time when Tucker couldn’t tell Karsyn he loved her out loud to an amazing verbal scene, their attraction was mesmerizing!
With the non stop action, the humor between Tuck, Nick, and Ransom, the hilarity of girls night out with Karsyn, Kelsey, and Stella, and the goofiness of sleep deprived parents, this is probably one of my favourite books in the LSERT series!! I can’t WAIT to read Cutter’s story in June!
Enigma is the third book in the Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team. I’m enjoying this series, it’s written in away that you feel like your in the center of it all and it has so much of the feels. The characters Karsyn and Tucker were so good for one another, and I’m glad they were able to overcome their obstacles to fall in love again. I like seeing past characters in eachother’s stories too. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
I love this series SO MUCH! Karsyn & Tucker’s story starts out w/ a heartbreaking prologue, but rewards us w/ a story that pretty quickly mends that initial hurt. I love the way they are w/ each other as they work their way back to each other. We get steamy goodness, but it’s just the right amount & doesn’t take over the way these things sometimes can. Overall, we get a lot of together time w/ our main characters (AND MAJOR!!), which is always my favorite type of story telling.
There are secrets to be shared, and the way they come out is written very well. I also LOVE all the banter & friendships & family time we get to be a part of. It all works together into a highly enjoyable story leaving me with a happy smile. AND the little prelude to Cutter’s story has me excited for that next installment! : )
Enigma was a surprise story line with all the feels. The resilience in Carsyn is immeasurable. She is a fighter. She shows strength and determination in every situation. Tucker, although he has his own demons, loves like no other once he realizes how to love. This is a very emotional book but is absolutely amazing!! It may however be a trigger for some who have been through abuse.
Karsyn has fallen head over heals with Tucker and was burnt badly, her heart is now on guard. Not only did he crush her heart, she has secrets she hasn’t told anyone about. Secrets that have transformed her life and will forever haunt her. Tucker is aware he let go of the best thing that ever happened to him, if only he can dive deep enough to find the way through his past to reach out for Karsyn. Tucker is slowly working his way back into her good graces and back into her life. Karsyn and Tucker both have pasts that need addressed before they can move forward as a couple. She trust him with everything and he swore to protect her no matter what the cost.
I love Tucker and Karsyn, the chemistry they have was not a slow build….the readers will feel in instantly. The connection runs soul deep, they have been slaying their own demons and form a solid foundation for their relationship. We get to see some glimpses of past couples but I had tunnel vision while reading and kept wanting to get more and more about Karsyn and Tucker. This couple reminds me of Ace and Violet, but their stories are so different yet I find myself loving them equally. The emotions are so strong and intense, readers will forever be satisfied with Enigma.
Love this authors books and this series is so great. This is Karsyn and Tuckers story and I had absolutely fallen in love with these two since the very beginning and just couldn’t get enough of them. It’s a second chance story that you absolutely feel for them and just keep rooting for them to work it all out. Just so freaking good.
Enigma is book 3 in the Laurel Springs ERT series and each book can be read as a standalone if you wish, but you will surely pick up the others in the ERT (Emergency Response Team) or MTF (Moonshine Task Force) after reading this author.
Karsyn and Tucker hurt, but pride holds them apart from pursuing their relationship. Life changes and as secrets come out they will need to band together to heal and deal with current issues. This story will captivate you, is full of suspense and their chemistry is full of passion. I’m excited to see who is next in line in the ERT band of characters
Loved Karsyn and Tucker.
They both have their reasons for being afraid of relationships and commitment. Tucker pushed Karsyn away when things got too serious. A year later and they both used the time they were apart to grow as individuals which i loved. IT was not one of those situations where they only change together because the right person comes along. It was a catalyst for them to both strive for more on a personal level before they could be together.
Karsyn has to come to grips with her past and Tucker has to push through his fears to have a future with Karsyn. This is great read filled with lots of love, laughter and drama. So worth the read!
Enigma by Laramie Briscoe is the third book in her Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series. The story between Karsyn and Tucker is emotional, a little angsty, and a lot sexy.
Karsyn is a woman who thought she could handle casual with Tucker. The moment she shares her feelings he closes up and shuts her down. A year passes. She is still missing him but determined to respect his actions when he let her walk away and move on. Tucker, however, is at a loss. He has his reasons for remaining closed off and never wanting more from a. Relationship. But once Karsyn leaves him without ever looking back he realizes that while he may have labelled them as casual they were anything but and now he is determined to win her back. But how can you honestly earn back the trust of a person whose heart you crushed?
Another really enjoyable story in the LSERT series, a spin-off to the Moonshine Task Force series. Laramie Briscoe is a must-read author for me and the more I read the more these characters feel like family and I cannot wait to read more in the future. Enjoy!
The whole Laurel Springs series should be read in order.
I am a huge Laramie fan. I have read this book 3 times now. Once when I got it. I had to go back to book one and reread the whole series. And final once on it’s own again. This book for some reason has been the hardest to review for me. I think it might be the fact that it seamlessly fits into the series. It is hard to see it alone, for me. Sure Tucker and Karsyn are their own people and this is their story, but it flows so well.
One year after Tucker abruptly breaks off their relationship, Karsyn is struggling to move forward. Her past has left her insecure and Tucker’s withdrawal has not helped. She is moving forward, deterimed to shed her past. Tucker isn’t faring as well. He is stuck on Karsyn, but he has no idea what to do. Letting people in has only hurt him. They both drop their shields and take a chance on being together.
Of course, that’s not all. The emotions and storyline that Laramine has wound around this book are amazing.
Enigma is book 3 in the LSERT series and it’s Karsyn and Tucker’s book. I love this series so much. Each has their own flow to it and I have never been steered wrong by this author. I’m excited for more from this series.
Karsyn and Tucker are everything. They were a couple, until they weren’t. But Tucker can’t seem to let go and realizes that he wants her back in his life. Is Karsyn willing to take the chance that he won’t break her heart again? Karsyn has secrets, will Tucker be able to deal with it and help her through it? I enjoyed this book so much and felt all the emotions.
The thing I love about this author’s books is the fact that while there is drama and bad guy, that stuff never over powers the couple and what they are building. This book was no different. It was a second Chance for these characters and I love that they got their HEA. Tucker was so easy to love. Right from the start I loved seeing him win Karsyn. After everything she went through I loved seeing her as a strong lead and not letting her past define her. She wasn’t a victim of her past and it showed. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. 4 stars #2OCCJD
We get to follow Karsyn Fallaway & Tucker Williams In this story. What happened between them? When Tucker is asked to present at an LSERT meeting, what does he say Laurel Springs needs? How does it change some things? What happened to Karsyn when she was 13 and living in Tennessee? What I learned blew my mind and threatened to shatter my heart. I really loved her strength in this book! You need to read these in order, because the story arc continues from one to the next, even if they can be read as a stand-alone. I recommend it.
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
Overall I really liked and enjoyed Enigma. A strong female character who has overcome serious childhood trauma and a man who didn’t know what he had until it was gone. The story of Tucker and Karsyn is a fun ride with a HEA. However, I would have liked to have seen a more drawn out and intense dealing with the Clarence situation. He seemed to be so pivotal in Karsyn’s healing process to help her move forward, that a bit more drama around that would have made the ending so much more satisfying. Skimming the surface wasn’t enough for me, I wanted more angst and depth. To me this would have solidified their bond even more. But I did enjoy so I recommend it.
Continue to love Laramie Briscoe and this series! After falling in love with the stories of their parents, we are getting the second generation of this crew and I can’t thank Laramie enough! Both Tucker and Karsyn have pasts that heavily affect their present and future, and it makes this couple that much harder trying to get together and push through. After Tucker finally pulls his head out and sees Karsyn and their relationship for what it was, the book got that much better because they finally stopped fighting the feelings they both had, but it was understandable based on Tucker’s past. Karsyn’s past – WOAH BABY! The strength and perseverance this character had and pushing through her past was amazing – even when having to revisit and then work with Tucker and the team to stop it from happening again. The storyline was amazing, and the writing was spot on. I can’t get enough of this author and her books! Absolutely cannot wait for the next in this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Tucker knows he made a big mistake letting Karsyn go.
These two have some intense chemistry and he’s determined to get her back.
I love how he pays attention to her quirks and habits, which involves some thoughtful gifts. This story had some suspenseful moments to keep things moving along. And of course, Major couldn’t be more adorable!
Can’t wait for Cutter’s book. 🙂
