Lovely book, gripping read and “wow” ending. ~ Long and Short Reviewer

Her struggle tugs at Leopold’s sense of duty and her bold nature tempts him unbearably. When Leopold discovers their lives are forever entwined, he vows to protect Mercy and her innocent son.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leopold and Mercy are a perfect couple in this swoon worthy story. What a hero (sigh). Great story with lots of action, mystery and intrigue. I enjoyed it so much, had to purchase book 2. ~ Amazon reviewer
ENGAGING THE ENEMY is a full-length steamy regency historical romance from USA Today bestselling author Heather Boyd. It’s the first book in the emotional four book Wild Randalls quartet.
Every great family has a few secrets. The wild Randalls of Hampshire excel at them.

Loved it!
I really enjoyed watching the relationship develop between the main characters. I liked that Mercy was not a helpless female. And she went after what she wanted.
Indicative of the time period
Enough mystery to be enjoyable, but plot was far-fetched. I liked the characters more than I liked the story.
It kept me interested! !!!
Characters were endearing. And who doesn’t love a happy ever after.
Good read – very enjoyable.
I read this book two times. Just saying.
This book was one that kept me finding excuses to find my kindle and read a couple more chapters. It kept me interested in who was scaring the duchess and where Leopold’s siblings could be. Though one was found in this book I’m going to have to find the others in this series to see if or when the others fate will be divulged. This one was so …
Couldn’t put it down. Enjoyed it greatly.
