Lovely book, gripping read and “wow” ending. ~ Long and Short Reviewer
A lady should be the image of elegance and calm, but those words have never applied to Mercy, Duchess of Romsey. A widow and mother, Mercy is lonely and floundering to keep the estate afloat. When she discovers the existence of Leopold Randall, her husband’s estranged cousin, Mercy immediately offers to help him locate his … to help him locate his missing siblings if he helps her return the estate to order.
Leopold has returned to Hampshire for only one purpose—to learn the fate of his missing siblings. Unfortunately, the current duchess is clueless and out of her depth. Her struggle tugs at Leopold’s sense of duty and her bold nature tempts him unbearably. When Leopold discovers their lives are forever entwined, he vows to protect Mercy and her innocent son.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leopold and Mercy are a perfect couple in this swoon worthy story. What a hero (sigh). Great story with lots of action, mystery and intrigue. I enjoyed it so much, had to purchase book 2. ~ Amazon reviewer
ENGAGING THE ENEMY is a full-length steamy regency historical romance from USA Today bestselling author Heather Boyd. It’s the first book in the emotional four book Wild Randalls quartet.
Every great family has a few secrets. The wild Randalls of Hampshire excel at them.

Could use a good editor, but the story idea is original, and good. The situation keeps your interest. I found myself wanting to know more about these characters.
Fun, good sex!
Once i started this exceptional book, I just couldn’t stop reading it. The story grabs you and off you go tell hours later I
you finish it and you don’t want to continue reading it because this story is so well formed you just don’t want to leave the exceptional world and characters and be introduced to more! And you find yourself desperately …
I highly recommend The Wild Randalls Series. Heather Boyd created a wonderful series around a diverse family and their troubles! I really fell in love with the characters in this series. You will cry and laugh while reading about the Randalls!
a great book i enjoed it ,keep writeing
Liked this book.
I felt as though I had read this book before and got a little impatient. However, the story is a very good story and very worth the read. I have loved every book that I read by Boyd. I was not disappointed.
Interesting though a little far fetched
I read this book while on vacation. It was perfect escapism! It had a little more mystery than many romance novels. It hooked me enough that I continued reading the remainder of the series, all four books.
I really enjoyed this book very entertaining
Some nice twists. Characters we all will love or hate.
Enjoyed the book but not all the sexual encounters
Loved the plot and the ending. Good read
Wonderful characters.Loved the story.Immedatly purchased the next book in the series .Will read the entire series.
The plot of this book is not the most far-fetched I have seen, but it is very improbable. Character development is ok, and the writing is good enough in most scenes. The fundamental issue is plotting and pace. A good editor could be of great help to this author.
Unfortunately, this is the beginning of a 4 book serial story. Be prepared to get hooked into reading them all.
Love anything Heather Boyd writes!
I couldn’t put this book down. It has everything you expect in a romance.
wealthy many times use evil means to get what they want accomplished at the expense of others.
Interesting plot, good character development.
