For years, Jonathan Damon has buried himself in his scientific research, but now his uncle threatens to pull the funding for his lab unless Jonathan makes strides toward marriage and family. So he decides to bring a fake fiancée to his cousin’s wedding to mollify his uncle. And the only convenient candidate for this particular experiment is Sarah.
Sarah has been Jonathan’s assistant for years, … for years, and she knows he’s never thought of her in any other way. She’s happy to play the part of his fiancée, but being thrown into unusual intimacy with her brilliant, sexy boss stirs up feelings she has never been able to admit before.
If only those feelings could be returned…

It was really stinking cute
I get the whole “happy” family thing. I mean who are you kidding. He was adorable like a less annoying Sheldon. And she was awesome but the down on yourself from both of them was repetitive and off putting. I get that it was supposed to make them relatable and flawed. But just once I’d love a character who knows they …
Cute, above average story and writing. Good strong heroine who doesn’t just turn into mush when she falls in lust and love.
Worth reading for the Secret Gardens and other little moments. I understand they are scientists but the language was a bit stilted for my liking and made the story drag at times.
Shows the value of communication, what happens when each one makes assumptions about the other!
Good book with very good actors.
Quiet People
Sarah has had a crush on her boss, Jonathan, for a long time, but he is her boss. Jonathan received a call from his Uncle that said he would pull funding of his lab if he didn’t come for his cousins wedding. She is going as her fake fiancee.
Story premise good, but way too sexually graphic.
Liked it enough to purchase the other 3 in the series. Don’t have to have the sex to make it a good read.
Really enjoyed reading this book, although it might be considered a little predictable, it definitely has a few surprises!
Great story
Great characters and great read. Thanks.
Get caught up in the character’s and their inner thoughts. At times, will make you laugh and will definitely make you smile.
Okay
A couple working together in a lab pretend to be engaged to please family. Everything backfires, and eventually all works out.
Typical romance. OK
Simple, cute, and enjoyable.
I enjoyed reading this book but I do not care for sex scenes
Sweet realistic characters that capture your attention
I loved Jonathan and Sarah and how they had a relationship before that they built upon. Jonathan understood his mistakes and tried to correct them, as did Sarah. A very good example of how to build a relationship with humorous and sexy moments.
I liked it. Good book.
