Meet baby Bianco, Luca, in this sexy enemies-to-lovers romcom standalone.Lauren knows Luca Bianco. She ignored him all through high school. Being Mr. Jock and Mrs. Jock put them in close proximity way more than she would have preferred. Especially when he loved to razz her that she should have been born a boy. It’s been nine years since she’s been face-to-face with him and that wasn’t long … long enough. She can’t blame her best friend for bidding on him for her at the bachelor auction. She doesn’t know their history, but the date isn’t going to happen unless it’s a game of one on one basketball. Even then, neither one of us ever plays fair.

This is book three in the Blue Collar Brothers series. It is also the first book I’ve read by this author and in my opinion can totally be read as a standalone.
Luca and Lauren are frenemies. Her two best friends are with his two older brothers so they spend quite a bit of time together. Usually bickering. But Luca has a plan to lift his mother’s spirits before she goes into surgery to give her something to look forward to after. Planning a wedding. A fake wedding for him and Lauren. It’s a good plan. Or is it?
I loved this enemies to lovers sweet and sexy read. It’s a definite must read!
Yes, I’ve been waiting for this book for what seems like forever … but it really wasn’t that long. After we see glimpses of Luca and Lauren from the very beginning of this series, I knew I was looking forward to their story the most. And boom, Engaged to the EMT definitely takes the cake as my favorite in this series!
Oh my gosh, so much to love about these two, but their banter is the absolute best. I love a good fake relationship story because I enjoy reading when lines get blurred and fake turns into something real. And my goodness, it sure is a glorious thing to witness. But you have to admit as asinine as Luca’s plan was, you have to see the bigger picture of why he did it. He has a much bigger heart than people think and I just absolutely loved him for it.
Oh these two, sure love to play with fire. The chemistry and tension are blazing between them and this fake relationship was probably one of the best things to happen to them. It definitely set things in motion for them to finally figure out their feelings for each other. So many cutesy and swoony moments between them and I loved every bit of it.
As far as fake relationship stories go, this is probably my favorite. It’s just a sweet and endearing read, and you’ll be rooting for Luca and Lauren. I am so unbelievably sad to say goodbye to this series, but Piper and Rayne sure did give us a little teaser to the new series that is to come. Bianco cousins, people, and I’m sure it’ll be a joy to watch those men get taken down by love.
Another terrific installment to the Blue Collar Brothers series by this amazing duo! Can’t wait for their next release!
**I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**
Piper Rayne
This is the final book in the Blue Collar Brothers series. It is a stand alone, but to get the full hate felt between Luca and Lauren, you should read them in order.
You’ll absolutely love all the Bianco’s, especially mama Bianco.
We do find out if mama will be okay. We also get closure about the arsons.
Luca and Lauren are basically the same. I had a feeling, in the previous books, that they were actually riding that line between love and hate.
Because of that, we get a great story.
There is so much more to both of them than I first thought.
I will admit Lauren wasn’t my favorite. I got turned off by the competitiveness. But I love her now.
I thought Luca was nothing more than a cocky playboy.
I was wrong on both accounts. And I’m okay with that.
They are great.
I can’t wait to meet the rest of the cousins in White Collar Cousins series. We get to meet Enzo in this book and hear a little about Dom and their sister.
4.5 Stars
The last Bianco brother falls. This was the most intriguing one going in because Luca and Lauren have a love/hate relationship that we’ve witnessed with the first two books in the series. We also saw the underlying sparks between these two. I was a little skeptical of Luca. He’s definitely a playboy, but I shouldn’t have feared because Piper Rayne never lets me down. I liked how we got to know the inner workings of Luca and the more I got to know him the more I liked him. This book had the heat, humor, and heart I love about Piper Ryane books. I’m sad to see this series end because I fell in love with the Bianco family.
Funny and touching
With a fake engagement mixed with an enemies to lovers storyline (two of my favorite tropes), plus that I’ve loved the previous books in this series—love the three friends dating three brothers setup with the bachelor auction twist—as well as how much I’ve enjoyed the other books I’ve read by the authors using this pen name…well, I had pretty high expectations going into this. As book 3 in the Blue Collar Brothers series, while this can be read as a standalone, since there is setup as well as a minor plot line carrying over throughout the trilogy, for the best reading experience I recommend reading the series in order.
I enjoyed watching the interactions between Luca and Lauren in the previous books, and loved seeing different sides to them here. I was touched with how concerned Luca was about his mother as he tries to hide that concern behind a jovial exterior and I ADORED how he stood up for Lauren to her family. I love how strong and spirited Lauren is, giving as good as she gets, but here we also get to see how big her heart is through her interactions with her patients and her response to Luca’s vulnerability, and I really loved seeing their relationship evolve.
The secondary characters add a lot to the story, especially if you’ve read the previous books in the series—watching the two of them getting grilled over their “engagement” by their friends and family was pretty funny. The stress of the situation with Luca’s mother, the pretense of the fake engagement plus all the chemistry between Lauren and Luca really kept up the tension of the story and made sure I kept flipping those pages.
Both funny and touching with just the right amount of steam, this was a great conclusion to the series. Love the brief intro we get to the new series, btw—can’t wait! 5 stars

Luca and Lauren, arch enemies for the beginning of this series and the youngest brother to Mauro and Cris, finally gets his story and in my onion, the best one. Luca comes up with a plan and needs Lauren’s help, which she begrudgingly agrees to only to have these two go from hate to love. But with their secret still out there, how can they move forward when their plan falls to the wayside.
I was hesitant to read Luca’s story, the man wh***, who is more than egotistical and how the author would turn him around and make me fall for him…I wasn’t disappointed as the author does not play up his wh**** ways or has women crawling out the woodwork and jealousies flying. I loved that fact as well as seeing Luca in a different light, the protector who sticks up for Lauren, the sensitive, vulnerable caring man that he is along with his sweet, sigh worthy actions and sayings. I loved their competition and how strong Lauren was, being herself and vulnerable around him, endearing me to her as well.
The story flowed beautifully with steam and swoon worthy scenes but what I LOVED the most is the way Luca gets his girl and how it wasn’t over dramatic or prolonged and how the story focused on the two as their feelings grow from hate to love, as well as their confessions from many years ago.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Luca Bianco and Lauren Hunt have known each other since high school. She used to date one of his good friends. Her best friends are in serious relationships with his brothers. She can’t seem to get away from him and she can’t him. She thinks he’s a player and an egomaniac.
Luca seems to live to get under Lauren’s skin. They’re bantering is what really drew me into this story. They’re hilarious. You just know from the get go that there is some serious attraction hidden beneath the surface between these two.
Luca has never been one for a serious relationship, never saw the need for one until now-his mom is having a serious operation and he wants her to be at ease with his life as she faces her surgery. So he makes a deal with Lauren that she can’t refuse to be his fake fiance until after his mom’s surgery.
What I really loved about this book and about the way it was written was while yes, there is undercurrents of heat building up between these two they actually saw and know the ‘real’ person each other was. No longer took each other at face value. I think it added a layer of dynamic to their building relationship. Made stronger, more realistic.
So what happens when the surgery is unsuccessful, the engagement is longer than expected and they decide to change the dynamics of their fake relationship….
This was a fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Luca Bianca is the baby of the Bianca family. He has had an antagonist relationship with Lauren Hunt since High School when she dated his best friend. Ten years later, they still go after each other. When Lucas mother is going in for heart surgery, he convinces Lauren to become his fake fiancé so that his mother won’t have to worry about him. Of course, their antagonism becomes friendship, then more. This is a fun end to this series.
Loved it
Loved Luca and Lauren’s story. They bring you on a journey from enemies to fake engagement to failing in love. I couldn’t put it down.
Perfect ending to a fabulous series.
Engaged To The EMT was the perfect ending to the ‘Blue Collar Brothers’ series by Piper Rayne. We’ve seen and heard quite a lot from both Luca Bianco and Lauren Hunt in the previous two books. Luca has a close relationship with his two brothers and Lauren is best friend with their now better halves. So, it was interesting to see how this caustic relationship between them would be resolved.
Piper and Rayne pulled out all the stops on this one and made a story that wrung all the feels out of me. It was emotional, a little angsty when a chat between the brothers is overheard by Lauren and she gets the wrong idea.
She and Luca fought all through the previous books, so who knew the deep feelings they were hiding. Especially Luca. My word, that boy will make you swoon, ladies. He’s been hiding his true feelings for Lauren and when the truth comes out, there’s not going to be a dry eye in the house.
Book 3 continues in the same vein as 1 & 2, giving us glimpses of the lives surrounding the couple, and letting us know how mama Bianco is doing.
Luca is quite the mama’s boy who’s hiding a heart of gold under his paramedics uniform but that’s not all there is to him. He’s tough, sexy and pretty demanding when he wants to be. Lauren doesn’t let him get away with it and calls him out. She’s strong, independent but with a soft heart that just wants to find her true love. She never thought it would be Luca Bianco.
Luca is about to show her just how wrong she is.
Omgah
This book was entertaining and so fabulous to read I didnt stop till i finished it!
Luca Bianco….be still my beating heart! That man has such a big….heart….youngest boy in the family of 3 sons but also his mama’s boy and it really made him endearing to me in a big way!
What happens when you become fake engaged to your love to hate friend???
This was really the most fun to read book that had snark and sass but also some really funny banter between all the characters
So much to love about this book you just have to read it yourself!
Love, hate, true friendships, family, sizzling chemistry and all that made this story amazing to read! The authors did a fantastic job writing Lucas story!
I would dearly love to be a part of the Bianco family, I mean who wouldn’t, especially with the way they love wholeheartedly! Sigh and swoon big time!!
After having read the first two books in this series about the two older Bianco brothers, I could hardly wait to read Luka Bianco’s story, and he did not disappoint. He had a reputation of being immature and a womanizer, but we find out there is so much that we didn’t know about him. Lauren has known him since they were young, and they have always “hated” each other. There is more to that story too. I love Lauren’s feistiness, and I love a man that will sit znd watch Hallmark Christmas movies and eat cookie dough with you all day. As always, Piper Rayne has written a funny, romantic, steamy hot book that has a story that you will not want to put down. I loved it!
Oh my gosh! Could I love Luca Bianco any more than I already do?!? I didn’t think so, and then I actually read his story and BOOM!
I can see why women flock to Luca. He’s so charming. Yeah, he’s a little cocky and sure, he can be a handful. He seems to never take anything seriously and he can be infuriating at times, but trust me when I tell you that you are gonna swoon so hard for this man. When you strip away his outer layer, you get this amazing man underneath. He’s so sweet, so romantic, loyal, sexy, charismatic – just altogether yummy.
Lauren is just what Luca needs in his life. She won’t let Luca get away with anything and he loves it. She’s feisty, stubborn, and competitive. But underneath her tough exterior she’s such an amazing person. She’s fantastic and by far my favorite Piper Rayne heroine because she’s the most relatable to me. I’m that girl who LOVES sports and secretly watches the Hallmark movies when no one is watching.
I loved this story! It’s full of laughs and ALL the feels. I know I’ve said from the beginning of this series that it was going to be really hard for me to choose which Bianco was going to capture my heart, but in the end it wasn’t that hard of a competition for Luca to win. The man is just amazing. I’m sad to see the series end, but I have a feeling we’ll get a peek inside their lives at some point in the future.
This was a great conclusion to the Blue Collar Brothers series.
Luca and Lauren are characters that we have seen in both of the previous books and knowing that back story adds a lot to the enjoyment of the story (so please read the books in order).
I enjoyed getting to know both characters better and seeing behind the facades that they use when interacting with each other. They (and their brothers, friends, and families) were fun to watch as the relationship moved from animosity to friendly to more.
There are little surprises spaced in this quick fun read that make it a sweet story as well. Engaged to the EMT is a good balance of enemies to lovers and right person/wrong time. I am looking forward to seeing what Piper and Rayne come up with next – and hopefully we will see a little bit of the brothers pop up in future books too.
Engaged to the EMT is the third and final book in the Blue Collar Brothers Series and in my opinion, the best by far. You always get us with that third book, don’t you Piper Rayne? It’s never what I expect it to be, but exactly what I need!
Lauren Hunt and Luca Bianco have always had a love/hate relationship since they were in school together. Years later, both of Lauren’s best friends are in relationships with Luca’s brothers so, as much as she hates seeing Luca, she puts up with him for her friends. But when Luca proposes a BIG question to her, Lauren decides to help because she needs his help just as much as he needs hers.
Piper Rayne really went all out with Engaged to the EMT! Luca and Lauren’s story is full of everything…fun, family, lies, friendship and a love/hate relationship with acting skills that would win Luca and Lauren both an academy award. This book was truly my favorite out of the series and even gives us a glimpse into what’s coming next and I’ve gotta say, I’m intrigued!!
This is a way sweeter book than I was expecting. From what we had known about Luca, he was a bit spoiled and kind of living in the shadows of his brothers. I LOVE when these characters get their own stories and we can finally get in their heads.
This book was exactly that! Is he spoiled, a bit, but not in a bad way. He likes to have others perceive him a certain way so that no one truly knows what he is feeling.
Lauren has known Luca and his brothers for most of her life. Not only did they go to school together, but her best friends are also dating his brothers.
Luca’s mother has fallen ill, and she worries about him and where he is in life. Because of this, he decided to have a fake fiance, and who better than someone his mother already loves. This situation benefits Lauren because she is having some issues of her own.
How does this all play out? You will have to read the book to see, but I can guarantee that you will enjoy this hilarious, sweet, and steamy wild ride!
I give this book a 4 out of 5, because I enjoyed it but I would have liked a little more backstory towards the beginning of the book.
PS: I received this book for free in return of my honest opinion.
You know the saying “O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive!” by Walter Scott, well I think Luca and Lauren should have thought a little bit before they decided to go into a fake engagement because you know things don’t work out the way you believe they will….right?!?! LOL Oh what a ride these two take us on!
Lauren and Luca have know each other for years, since they went to high school together and for some reason they have always disliked one another, and since each of them is an athlete they are very competitive against one another as well. This always struck me as odd in the first two books because there is a fine line between love and hate and I always wondered “what if” well in this book the “what if” happens and we get their HEA. We also get a whole lot of answers as to why these two disliked each other so much.
This trilogy has been a blast I enjoyed each of these books and I cannot wait for the spin off White Collar Cousins, which will be out summer 2019.
Engaged to the EMT is the third and final book in the Blue Collar Brothers trilogy which is about the Bianco brothers (Mauro, Cristian, and Luca) three girlfriends (Maddie, Vanessa, and Lauren) and a first responder’s bachelor auction. Each of these books can be read as a standalone but I feel you will enjoy each of them more if you read them in order. Happy Reading!!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
I have really enjoyed this series and this book is about Luca and Laura. They have for a long time been enemies and neither seems to really know the reason why they dislike each other so much. As their story progresses you get to see why it all started to go wrong between them in high school and it becomes clear that what starts off as a campaign of hate towards each other soon crosses the fine line into love and lust. I really liked their story as I was so glad that they finally got to become friends and helped each other out when in need, that they realised how foolish they had both been and that they could become so very much more.
Great storytelling and lots of fun and frolics had me loving all of the Bianco brothers. I’m a little sad that we are at the end of their series but I do look forward to reading about the cousins of the boys in the future starting with Enzo.
5.0 Star Review Engaged to the EMT (Blue Collar Brothers #3) by Piper Rayne
This is the third book in the series and I loved it. This is an enemies to lovers story line that kept me riveted from the first to the last chapter.
Piper Rayne is a relatively new author to me and why on earth that is I have no idea. Having absolutely loved Crushing on the Cop (book 2 in the series) I immediately jumped at the opportunity to read Engaged to the EMT.
Luca Bianco and Lauren Hunt have always had a love/hate relationship and yet anyone else can see that these two have intense chemistry that absolutely sizzles when they interact.
It is impossible for Lauren to avoid Luca as her best friends are with his brothers. When Luca ask her to be his fake fiancee, Lauren agrees. However, neither of them expect that the attraction is going to explode and that a fake engagement will morph into real feelings which will put both their hearts at risk.
Will Luca and Lauren take the leap from fake to real or will it all explode? One click and find out.
I loved how all the Bianco men are with their mother but the relationship that Luca has is just heart melting and the camaraderie Luca shares with his brothers had me laughing out loud at times.
This is one of those series that I am really sad to see end but I believe Piper Rayne have saved the best for last.
Great ending to the Blue Collar Brothers series-loved the banter, the sweet and sexy times. Luca went from my least favorite Bianco Brother to the top of the list. I enjoyed seeing a different side of him. He and Lauren really are perfect for each other.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
