Oh man! What an amazing read. These two don’t realize what is happening at all which makes their love story that much more special.
Lauren has decided to play along and be Luca’s fake fiance. Luka just wants to prove to his mom that he is not a screw up. What these two don’t realize is that their pent up frustration and long buried feelings now have no where to go and were bound to come out at sometime.
I loved Lauren and how competitive she is throughout the series. She reminds me a lot of myself. Luka proved to be such a romantic. His reasoning behind some of their past was swoon worthy and made me love them together that much more.
I have absolutely loved binge reading this series. It has made me fall in love with Piper Rayne’s writing, and I cannot wait to read their other books.
Tehehehe. That’s right Piper Rayne gave me the giggles with Engaged to the EMT. It was flirty and sexy and tense and so fun.
I loved the back and forth between Luca and Lauren. Their competitive streak knew no limits and it carried over into all aspects of their lives. Friendships. Work. Family. It was Luca’s family that made him concoct this crazy plan that involved Lauren. The woman he loved to hate. The feeling was mutual. So was the attraction they’d been hiding for years.
I liked that they both gave as good as they got. Lauren pushed and Luca pulled. Luca ran and Lauren tackled him hard. And somewhere in the middle of their scheme, their fake relationship became very very real. Real feelings. Real sexy. Real fears. They both knew they couldn’t keep the lie up forever but the fallout when the truth was revealed brought all of Lauren’s defenses back up.
I will say that for being the last book of the series featuring the Bianco brothers, I did want a little more drama concerning figuring out who the arsonist who had been present in all the books was. But fear not the culprit is revealed. This book is signature Piper Rayne. Full of sass and lots of sweetness. From friendship and soccer to family and ornaments, Engaged to the EMT was a delight on every page.
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I feel like we saved the best Bianco brother for last. Luca…lord have mercy, the man was everything. He’s got the biggest heart, although he might not always show it. I loved the chemistry between him and Lauren…even though you wouldn’t always know that they had it. These two were tender and sweet and just made my heart swell at time. Other times, I wanted to bash them over the head. Either way…this book was just what I wanted and so much more.
I loved the wit, humor, and sweetness of Engaged to the EMT from start to finish. It’s hard sometimes to set the past aside to find what you really want. But when you do, it can be an amazing journey…as we get to see with Luca and Lauren. Please check out this amazing story.
to the EMT is my favorite book from the Blue Collar Brothers series! Luca is the youngest Bianco brother and after meeting him in the previous books I wasn’t sure he could be redeemed. But I should know better when it comes to Piper Rayne, they ALWAYS give us at least one cocky, arrogant ass that steals are heart and Luca is definitely that person. I LOVE a good enemies to lovers read and this one takes the cake because it will have you laughing, yelling and definitely swooning. Luca and Lauren’s story had me hanging on to every word and devouring page after page because I refused to put it down. These two were burning up the pages with the tension and chemistry they had going on between them. This storyline will have you intrigued and demanding more from all these amazing characters. Grab your copy of one hands down 5 star read you won’t regret!
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Loved!!!!
A great way to end the series. I loved this couple. They were entertaining in the other books. I loved their story.
A fantastic read! I am sad to see the end of the Bianco bothers, but knowing this fabulous author duo we’ll see more of them in the future. The chemistry between theses two characters was explosive and so steamy I was literally fanning myself. Getting to see a deeper side of Luca and a softer side of Lauren was heartwarming to witness.
Read: 4/7/19
Engaged to the EMT was the third book in Piper Rayne’s Blue Collar Brother series. I loved them all but I loved this one the most.
Yay! We finally get Luca and Lauren’s story and it had been building strong since book one, Flirting with Fire.
Luca Bianco and Lauren Hunt grew up with each other since grammar school. They were both the popular jocks of their gender, uber competitive and fought like enemies…well enemies with explosive chemistry that could combust at any moment. They were also both gorgeous, sexy, snarky and fun. There was a hint of something that happened between them but no one was the wiser until now.
I really enjoyed both characters and the storyline. Their banter was fun and playful and their competitiveness was over the top fun. It had some predictable moments but it played out the way it was meant to be.
Additionally, the authors blessed us with more Bianco brothers bantering and I enjoyed the Hunt brothers scene as well – another spin off would be awesome.
All in all, it was a quick, fun and entertaining read. Although there were no more Bianco brothers, the authors introduced the Mancini cousins and a spin off series was born – the White Collar Brothers. First up is Enzo in Sexy Filthy Boss and I can’t wait!
Luca and Lauren have been enemies since school. Now that Lauren’s friends are dating Luca’s brothers she tolerates him. Lauren’s friend buys her a date at a charity auction that turns out to be Luca. Luca is hot but only for a one night stand right? Will these two be able to put the past to rest? A good read in the series.
I can’t believe this trilogy is over. Another great book by Piper Rayne! I’m giving this 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I wasn’t sure I’d love Luca based on the previous books, but I totally did! As much as I never thought I’d say this, he might be my favorite Bianco brother (although honestly they’re all fantastic). I liked Lauren from the first book, and she endeared me even more once I was in her head. Fake relationships and enemies to lovers aren’t usually my favorite tropes, but I loved this book regardless of that fact.
I absolutely loved that we got to see some of my favorite characters from previous books while also meeting some new favorites. Hello Enzo! This was the final book in the trilogy, so I don’t want to discuss content; there’d be way too many spoilers. I can’t wait to read the next couple of series that were mentioned at the end of this book. On top of that, I still want to go back and read previous series I’ve missed by this duo. These books are all solid contemporary romances, and I enjoyed each one!
Oh my word, what can I say about this book. I absolutely loved it. I loved Lauren from the start of this series. I loved her take no prisoners attitude I loved her and Luca’s back and forth banter with each other. But you knew that deep down they wanted to rip each other’s clothes off, lol
Lauren and Luca has a love/hate relationship. He does everything in his power to annoy the crap out of her and she couldn’t stand the playboy man whore. But even though she couldn’t stand him she couldn’t help her feelings toward him either. So when he asked her the Big Question, to give his mother some peace as she is having heart surgery and she doesn’t quite approve of his lifestyle what could she do she said yes, which definitely works in her favour as she might be in a bit of a jam herself.
What I love about this story is that even though they both detest each other from the start of the series, it’s like they can’t deny the attraction they have. And the whole pretend engagement thing just brought out their actual feelings they had, but will they be able to build their relationship after everything is said and done and will they be able to trust each other after all the lies are revealed. I loved this series from the start and this author just got me hooked on her books.
Luca Bianco is an EMT and was auctioned off in a raffle to Lauren Hunt, a girl he has known since they went to school together many years ago. Luca knows his mom worries about him and he will do anything to help her out as she prepares for surgery.
Lauren Hunt is a physical therapist who hates Luca with everything she’s got but she also knows how much his family means to him and is willing to help him out when he needs it.
When Luca “proposes” to Lauren as a way to make his mom happy will the two be able to keep up with their charade? When the two make startling confessions about the past and when Luca defends Lauren to her family will the two be able to see past the fake and find something true?
I really enjoyed this book and I am definitely sad that the Bianco brothers are coming to an end!
I thought Luca was such a good character and although I questioned his initial proposal to Lauren I know he did it out of good faith to make his mom think he had his life together. He was dedicated in his profession and I thought it was funny with what was going on with his roommate.
Lauren was a great character as well and I hated that she needed Luca to help her with a guy problem at work. I was also shocked when I saw what was going on at her own house and I loved how Luca defended her with her parents.
I liked when the two of them admitted how they felt and how things began to change between them. I was shocked at what went down at the hospital!!
I loved Luca’s mom’s advice to him and how he took it and succeeded!!
The end was awesome and I don’t want the series to end!!
I found myself falling for this story from the very beginning. To say that Luca was my kind of dreamboat is a colossal understatement! Sure he was a bit conceited, but, this Italian stallion had the goods to back up his swagger! He was sarcastic, good-humored, and most importantly he had a heart of gold.
The girl that stole Luca’s heart back in high school, but soon became his nemesis over the years, was a girl after my own heart. Lauren, ever the tomboy, was a fierce competitor, avid sports fan, and great friend.
She loved helping others and while she tried to keep people at a distance to spare her heart from getting hurt, she was a caring woman that put everyone before herself, even if that meant her own happiness.
Butting heads with Luca since high school, Lauren was livid with her friends when she learned that they won a date for her with him at a charity auction. So when these two adversaries finally go out on the town, what could go wrong?
Well, neither of them could have predicted where their journey would take them. As a reader, I for one was so very thankful to Lauren’s besties for winning the very date that set this wonderful story in motion. It is one that I will not soon forget.
If you want a fun, charming, swoon worthy read, full of family and great friendships, look no further!
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Lit-Up My Mind
This is seriously the best of the three books of the series (not that the prior ones weren’t great, because the Bianco bothers rock!).
Luca and Lauren have been hinted throughout the series and their competitive nature was always on display. They are a bit immature (but who isn’t in their twenties?) and the good thing is that Piper Rayne shows her characters as they are, humans (and funny, and sexy…).
Luca is trying to be on his mother goodside for her heart operation and asked Lauren to be his fake fiancée for a while. She reluctantly agreed and begins to see Luca in a way that makes her heart beat stronger. It is the beginning of a great rom com with much fun, sexy times, groveling and wonderful characters.
You will love the Bianco brothers!
4.5 stars
I loved the first two books in the Blue Collar Brothers series so of course I wanted to find out what will happen with Luca and Lauren. Though, I have to be honest. I wasn’t a huge Luca fan based on the previous books. But I can honestly say that I was pleasantly surprised. The book was definitely not what I expected it to be. It was so much better.
As I mentioned above, before reading Luca’s book, he wasn’t one of my favorite brothers. But the story reveals a side of him that is not visible in the previous books. Under the under the arrogant exterior is hidden a romantic and tender heart which he shows only to the people he keeps closest to his heart. And even with them, it is very rarely that he shows who he really is. And that new side of Luca, definitely endeared him to me, though there are times when he still acts a little bit immature.
If you’ve read the first two books in the series , you would know that Luca and Lauren don’t get along but everything chances once Lauren agrees to a fake engagement for Maria’s (Luca’s mother) sake. And though, it is not a smooth sailing from there, things definitely change. The constant bickering is still there but it is also accompanied by an undeniable attraction. And with every passing day Luca and Lauren’s feelings grow. Especially once the reason why they’ve not been getting along since high school is revealed.
In a few words, this is a fun, romantic, relaxing and super sexy read. There are some notes of suspense here and there but they just add to the story and make it even better. So, if you are in the mood for a great read just before the holidays, be sure to pick yourself a copy asap.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I Love To Hate You
The fine line between love and hate is about to be obliterated!!!
Lauren and Luca have hated eachother since high school! The day she chose Luca’s best friend to be her boyfriend, the war was on!
Fast forward to the present and Luca wants a favor. However, Lauren’s not sure she can let go of all the torment he’s inflicted on her all these years. But once he tells her his reason, she can’t say no.
So much heat and sexual tension! Watching these two go from enemies to lovers was the sweetest fall! I loved the push and pull, witty banter and the fact that they were evenly matched. The traits Lauren thought of as faults, became the reasons Luca fell for her. Luca was incredibly swoony and sweeter than I would have imagined. So many memorable moments! I adore this family! Move over Mauro…Luca’s my new favorite!
AMAZING ending to the Blue Collar Brothers series!!! So sad to see them go, but I’m sure we will be seeing the Bianco brothers some more!!
Seeing Luca start to realize that he can be boyfriend material, is just a wonderful transformation. Realized that he can actually love is outstanding. But falling for the girl he ‘hates’ is just amazing. Love the way Luca and Lauren develop their relationship.
Totally love the writing style of these two amazing authors. Cannot wait to see what Piper and Rayne come up with next!!
“We met at the corner of love and hate. Luckily our paths crossed there again, but the second time we took the right path…love.”
Engaged to the EMT is probably one of the best enemies to lovers romance I have ever read, so needless to say, it’s a top pick for romantic comedy for 2018! In fact, the entire series is a top favorite of the year as well.
We have gotten the other Bianco brothers’ stories, so now we finally get Luca’s. I knew it would be special, and it far exceeded my expectations. Luca and Lauren don’t like each other, that isn’t a secret. When Luca asks Lauren to be his fake fiancee, no one is more surprised that she is when she actually agrees to do it. She admits he is a jerk, but it’s an offer she really can’t refuse. All of us who have gotten to know these two in the earlier books knows this is the worst thing that could happen or it could turn out to be the thing that forces them to really take a good hard look at why they feel the way they do about one another. They might just be surprised at what they discover.
As with the earlier books, I fell hook, line, and sinker for this couple. It’s all in the way Piper Rayne wrote the book. It’s from each one of their POV’s, and it’s written as if they are talking to the readers as if we are their confidantes.
As I have written earlier, it’s no secret these two barely tolerate each other. It’s been that way since high school. As they are thrown together in this charade, they actually get to know one another as adults, and they are surprised by what they discover about one another. Luca is definitely good-looking; Lauren can admit that. She begins seeing how big his heart is underneath that sexy, arrogant facade he shows the world. He is learning to respect Lauren for her strength and independence. They also admire that competitive spirit each of them has. Boy, are they competitive! It’s Lauren’s competitive spirit that makes Lauren a female lead who really stands out!
I have read each book in the series, and I have loved each one. Piper Rayne does a phenomenal job of making each story different. They do the same with each character. I have loved each one for very different reasons. Even if they are brothers, each one is very different and their own man. The same goes for the women who fall in love with them. What is the same is the humor, sexual chemistry, and romance that will melt your heart! It’s those very things that bring me back to this dynamic duo again and again!
I was very sorry to say goodbye to the Bianco clan. I loved catching up with them in each and every book. The writers do such a great job of including earlier characters in the later books. For me, that builds my bond with the story and characters. I’m so glad we will get to see more of them when we get a series about the Bianco’s cousins, The Mancini’s. I will definitely be looking forward to that one!!!!
I have been waiting on Luca’s book since I first meet him back in another series and I finally got him!!! And I was not disappointed in the least I knew that there had to be more to him. And the way Piper and Rayne and weave their words so seamlessly together still amazes me after all these books. And I still can’t choose a favorite man, so I choose them all. And as far as the books they are amazing and Luca and Lauren are no different. When I start a Piper Rayne book I cannot put it down till I am done with it. That’s how good they are and how invested you will get in these stories and the people in them become like family. I highly highly recommend this book and any other book of theirs!!!! – By Tina
