I purchased this as a 3 book bundle the author offered called BRIDAL FAVORS SERIES BOXED SET.
This is my favorite of the bundle. The H doesn’t care she is a plus size, he sees the person she is inside. Her father is in trade, such a bad word for the Ton. The H works for her father as an apprentice. There was chemistry from the start with these two, plus romance. But, they knew they could not be together because she just learned her father betrothed her to a half wit – but he was a Lord which was all the h’s father cared about.
There is lovemaking, outside of marriage, mildly described – heat level 3 out of 5.
The ending was perfect and I really enjoyed it. We have no cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romance and some spice. I recommend this story. (ljb)
This was an enjoyable read, it grabbed my attention and kept me engaged till the end. I loved the fact that the two were not part of the aristocracy but just regular folk. Anthony first fell for Francine’s throaty laughter and sultry voice but when he got a glimpse of her he couldn’t put the image of her and what she sounds like together, throw in the opposing forces of the parents and they had an uphill battle. But the attraction was impossible to overcome. Loved this short sexy read!

Cute and Steamy Romp
She is thought of as a spoiled rich girl who is firmly on the shelf. But Anthony, the son of her father’s accountant, seems to see and understand the real Francine.
I really enjoyed this cute and steamy romp by Jade Lee I found it refreshing that Francine and Anthony are not from the aristocracy, but from the wealthy tradesman class. As the old saying goes, “folks are folks” which is very true where human behavior is concerned. Both of the lead characters in this entertaining read are likable and complex, and their seemingly hopeless situation is resolved in a humorously interesting way. I also enjoyed a bit of crossover of characters from Wedded in Scandal.
Content alert: Engaged in Passion contains no vulgarities, but there are some moderately described sexual intimacies.

Cute novella that tells the story of Francine and Anthony, both introduced in the previous novel. Anthony is attracted to the sultry laugh and voice he hears, but at first is not attracted to Francine once he actually sees her. The swiftness to attraction and passion happens too quickly. Would have liked it to develop more. All in all, still enjoyable. I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review.
Anthony is initially attracted to Francine by her laugh. Meeting her for the first time is a surprise, but later when the truth about your position in the household is revealed, Anthony struggles with his feelings and his honour. Francine’s self-image has been badly dented and when Anthony flirts with her, she wants to make-believe just for a short while. Having been molded by her parents’ expectations, Francine struggles to break out of what they want for her and to grab onto the one good thing that has happened to her. The story is fairly short and but touches the heart as Francine breaks through the barriers in her life. All it takes is Anthony’s belief in her. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery.
