I don’t love him. I don’t even like him.I just want him.Eli Loveless was my nemesis from the first day of kindergarten until we graduated high school. Everything I did, he had to do better – and vice versa. The day he left town was the best day of my life.Ten years later, the day he came back was the worst. Now he’s my co-worker.Grown-up Eli Loveless is sexy as sin. He’s hotter than asphalt in the … is sexy as sin. He’s hotter than asphalt in the summer. The irritating kid I once knew is gone, and he’s been replaced by a man with green eyes, perfect abs, and a cocky smile.
It’s bad that I want him.
It’s worse that he wants me back.
There are looks. There are smirks. There are smiles that make my panties burst into flame.
And then there’s a shared kiss that leads to the hottest night of my life.
This is no office romance. This is a five-alarm fire.
What’s a girl to do when the man I can’t stand is the one I can’t stop lusting after?
Enter into a friends-with-benefits agreement, of course.
No dates. No relationship. Just blisteringly hot sex, because if there’s one person I could never fall for, it’s Eli.
…right?

08/12/2021 “Enemies with Benefits” (nook) is the first book in the “Loveless Brothers Series” and I am ready for the second story. Eli and Violet had an interesting, and competitive, past. When they reunite many years later, they both view the other as they had been in high school. I loved how they fell in love. A wonderful story.
This is my first book with this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The characters kept my interest and I had not figured the entire plot by the end….always a good thing.
Love it when someone stands up for me.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy full length novel Enemies With Benefits: An Enemies-to-Lovers Romance (Loveless Brothers Book 1) Eli and Violet by Roxie Noir and this review was given freely.
Contains a good introduction the Lawless family, their friends and the coworkers of the Bramblebush Inn as well as an Instant attraction/childhood rivalry/grudge romance where the couple must team up to stop a saboteur.
A childhood school rivalry and grudge resurface when Chef Eli Loveless returns home to Sprucevale in Burnley County, Virginia as the new Executive Chef for Bramblebush Farm & Inn where he runs into Lead Event Coordinator Violet Tulane.
18+ recommended for intimate scenes.
It really good and gets better has you continue on reading more on this book:)
I pretty much binged Roxie Noir’s entire backlist when I found this book. Enemies With Benefits is Eli’s book and the first brother in the Loveless Series. His interactions with Violet are completely volatile in a way that makes you KNOW it’s going to be insane when they get together. There’s drama, sass and so much steam! I loved watching them navigate their relationship and all the shenanigans along the way.
f: Violet
m: Eli
(Dual POVs)
This book was perfect! It had all the steam and banter an enemies to lovers book should have, laugh out loud dialogue (both internal and external), and such a lovable family dynamic! This book is longer than your average everyday read, but with the interesting plot and fabulous characters, I never thought it dragged on at any point! I really enjoyed Eli and Violet together cause they had these really intense moments where the tension was through the roof, but they also had soft moments where they were able to get along and help each other out in times of urgent need. I thought the workplace environment of this book was unique unlike the most common workplace romance taking place in an office setting.
Eli had me hooked from the beginning, always acting like a gentleman, even if he did have some unpleasant feelings towards Violet. He still cared for her safety by not letting her walk alone on the side of the road in the middle of the night, and he treated her like a lady by doing things like opening doors for her. I adored how he was always able to put his feelings aside and help Violet when she was in need, like with the cake incident.
This is the first book in the Loveless Brothers series and I’m already feeling a growing adoration for the family. They’re the type that try to get together every Sunday at their mother’s house and even though they all seem different and unique, you can tell they’re close with all the wisecracking they do with each other. I can’t wait to continue the series, especially with Daniel’s book next; Rusty was a hoot!
Favorite Quotes:
Violet is pretty when she’s mad. She’s pretty all the time, but anger sparks something in her eyes that makes her light up like a human flame, burning and flickering from the inside, dangerous and alluring all at once. -Eli
Even though I spent half my life wishing I never had to see her again and when I got my wish, the world was that much duller. I didn’t know it then. I didn’t come back for her, but she makes me glad I came. -Eli
“All right, Violet, let me get this straight,” I say, slowly, letting my eyes trail down her body. “You want to bang me like a screen door-” -Eli
A small-town romance, enemies to lover’s trope, and weddings!!! This book had all the things to make me love it from the start. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. I loved the banter and fights between the two main characters. The family scenes with Eli’s family were cute and super entertaining. The ending was perfect. I have nothing but good things to say about Enemies With Benefits and Roxie Noir really knows how to write a sexy romance!
Violet is on a date from hell! Not only is the man rude, he’s obnoxious and blown up with his own self importance!
But the worse part of this date, (and there is plenty wrong with it) she’s left washing dishes as she can’t cover the bill!
Eli was never going to come back home, but working and being back home is actually better than he thought.
Well that was until he sees whose washing his dishes!
The internal dialogue Violet has with herself did have me chuckling.
I liked her no nonsense attitude. I liked she could laugh at herself.
So when Eli has me questioning who Violet really is, I know I’m going to be in for a good read.
This enemies to lovers book had me putting the kindle down at the wee small hours of the following morning.
I couldn’t put it down.
It was smart, funny, sassy and sexy. Eli had enough alpha to make you want to smack him and then kiss him.
Violet in turn just made you want to know why….
Why did they always fight? Why can’t they get over their petty feelings about growing up and always having to be better than the other person?!
There were a few additional characters that I loved, mostly Eli’s family. They were a riot. And stole some of the book for themselves.
And when Eli and Violet decide on a no strings kind of thing, you know it won’t be long before they start breaking their own rules.
I know they have history, I know the competitiveness as kids was a little rough at times, but come on people that should be ancient history.
And the obligatory break up moment, I had expected more! I didn’t even break out the tissues or ice cream!
So whilst it’s a good story, it’s not a great story!
I loved this enemies to lovers romance. It’s wonderfully witty, funny, sexy, and a compulsive read. Eli and Violet are great characters who just rub each other up the wrong way, that is until they start rubbing each other up the right way lol.
It had me creased up with laughter one minute, then all hot and bothered by their smouldering attraction the next. It’s a fantastic read that you won’t want to miss!
Enemies with Benefits is the first book in the Loveless Brother’s series. This book is told from duel points of views which is my favorite writing style because I like to know what both characters are thinking.
I fell in love with Eli and Violet. They were enemies since Kindergarten. Always trying to do better than the other. Ten years later they are co-workers. They have their banter and playfulness in the job as well, but always make sure the job is done for their customers.
I love that both characters have room to grow and fall for each other. I love how Eli comes to the rescue for Violet with some things that are happening at their job place, and how they learn to work together and when their feelings are involved sparks fire.
Eli has 4 brothers and the other books in this series are their stories :).
This is a good enemies to lovers story. I really liked Eli from the very beginning. Violet was harder to get used to. She is very stuck in her ways and wasn’t very nice at first but she grew on me.
A perfect enemies to lovers romance, full of steam, witty comebacks, and all the feels.
4.5 stars
Eli and Violet have to navigate a history of competitiveness with each other to find love together. Eli is hot, hot, hot. Both are incredibly stubborn. I really enjoyed the understanding of Appalachian culture as I am familiar with it and the southwestern Virginia setting. I feel like the author’s handling of the town, expectations, and interactions are spot-on to the way things tend to go. The story has growth for both characters, a little bit of mystery, and plenty of heat.
This was my first book by this author. I am completely in love with the Loveless family and I definitely will be reading more by this author.
This was my first book by this author and it won’t be my last. I was hooked on Violet and Eli and I loved their back and forth banter. I understood Violet’s hesitance to be with Eli from the beginning, not just from childhood, but because she didn’t feel like she was good enough. Her dream was to leave their small town and she never saw that dream through, but he did. While Eli came back to town, it wasn’t for her. He quickly realized that there had been something missing from his life, and that was Violet. I loved Eli. I love when the hero of the book is such a good guy and so invested in his girl throughout the whole thing. This book gave me all the feels!
This is another wonderful page turning story that grabs you from the start, loved it and I can’t wait to read more.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest
Eli and violet take competition to a whole new level. This is a enemies to lovers story. What is better than love at first sight? Hate at first sight. It makes the sex epic. This is a hilariously funny, steamy, swoon worthy romance. Roxie Noir knocked it out of the park. It’s told in different points of view, no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a hea. I highly recommend this book
Enemies with Benefits is a stand alone romance filled with a bit of angst, a dash of humor, a heaping of witty banter, and a whole lot of swoon! Eli and Violet have been enemies for as long as they could remember, constantly trying to one up the other, in all ways until they graduate from high school. Ten years later, they’re thrust back together again, coworkers in a competition, and fighting against their attraction. Will this final competition be too much for their rocky relationship to handle, or will they realize that hate is a fine line to love?
This book is fantastic! I think my favorite part is just all of the banter that goes back and forth between Eli and Violet! Sometimes the intent is there to one up the other, sometimes a friendly conversation turns a little nastier, but there’s humor, there’s wit, and there’s a lot of emotion within the pages of this book! Eli and Violet both grow a lot, and I loved that while they both thought the other had it all, in reality, both character struggled to find themselves, to find happiness, and to find their way to each other! There were a lot of scenes where I felt like swooning, and there were other scenes I wish that Eli’s, Violet’s, or both of their egos and pride would simmer down a bit. I loved the drama in this book, I love the work complications, and I love the small town feel that comes with their families and best friends, too! Any book with Ms. Noir’s name on it, I know I’ll love, and this was no exception!
No one loves a good enemies to lovers story more than I do and Enemies with Benefits hits the mark! Violet is a manager with a private venue that specializes in amazing weddings for those that can afford them. She was never quite able to leave her small hometown due to circumstances in her life. It’s now 10 years later and she is out on a blind date that is going horribly and who does she run into? Her childhood nemesis Eli. He left town after high school with big plans for himself in college but his life went in a different direction. Now he is back and will be starting a new job as an executive chef . Running into Violet once in 10 years is enough for him no matter how great she looks. Guess what? Life has thrown these two yet another curve ball because they’re now working at the same venue! Enemies with Benefits is a lot of fun. There is witty banter, great supporting characters (Eli’s family that I am hoping to read more about) and the chemistry between the two of them heats up the pages! It is told from dual POV and I recommend it completely.
Roxie Noir is a must read author for me and she didn’t disappoint with Eli and Violet. You will swoon, you will laugh, you will feel the tension between those two. I love enemies to lovers and Roxie just stepped the trope up a notch for me. It’s a must read. I highly recommend!!
This is a story of Enemies becoming more than that.
If you love books that have a bit of mystery action definitely steam
and makes you laugh as well than this is definitely got all that.
To find out what I mean you will have to read this yourself.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
