I don’t love him. I don’t even like him.I just want him.Eli Loveless was my nemesis from the first day of kindergarten until we graduated high school. Everything I did, he had to do better – and vice versa. The day he left town was the best day of my life.Ten years later, the day he came back was the worst. Now he’s my co-worker.Grown-up Eli Loveless is sexy as sin. He’s hotter than asphalt in the … is sexy as sin. He’s hotter than asphalt in the summer. The irritating kid I once knew is gone, and he’s been replaced by a man with green eyes, perfect abs, and a cocky smile.
It’s bad that I want him.
It’s worse that he wants me back.
There are looks. There are smirks. There are smiles that make my panties burst into flame.
And then there’s a shared kiss that leads to the hottest night of my life.
This is no office romance. This is a five-alarm fire.
What’s a girl to do when the man I can’t stand is the one I can’t stop lusting after?
Enter into a friends-with-benefits agreement, of course.
No dates. No relationship. Just blisteringly hot sex, because if there’s one person I could never fall for, it’s Eli.
…right?

This was my first ever Roxie Noir book, but it certainly will not be my last. My plans for the next month consist of sucking down everything in her backlist. The writing was so funny, witty, and constantly pushing me to turn the next page. As someone who grew up in Appalachia and was labeled trailer trash, this book just hit different for me. These characters—especially Violet—and their circumstances were so damn relatable. Five TT stars. Now, onto the next in the series!
If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. It’s a perfect enemies-to-lovers story, and it’s just so cute, I absolutely hate having to wait on the additional books in the series. The Loveless family is absolutely adorable!!
Let’s talk about this book. Mrs. Noir had me laughing, crying and falling in love with these characters and their family and friends. From the first page, you are captivated by Violet. She is fierce and funny, she doesn’t take anything from anyone. Eli has always battled with Violet. A hilarious emotional game of one upping. Their chemistry is too hot to resist. Things happen that threatens everything in the story. This is one read you don’t want to miss.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Good Lord. This book has five stars written all over it.
I love a Roxie Noir book and this one certainly did not disappoint.
Eli Loveless and Violet Tulane have hated each other for as long as they could remember. One is always trying to up the other whether it’s the spelling bee in grade school to who could get into the best college. They basically hated each other.
Years later and they meet again. Eli is subbing for a chef and Violet was on a date who left her with the bill and her without a wallet or a charged cell phone. Days later they are thrown back together when Eli lands a chef job at the same company that Violet works for as an event coordinator.
Boy, do the sparks fly in this book. Quite often indeed. They are constantly flinging insults at each other and then kissing. And let me tell you, the tension…HIGH! But, when they finally get together, fireworks!!
You will love this book. Now, I am hoping for Daniel’s book. I want to see Daniel and Charlie get together and little Rusty to have a true mom, in every sense of the word.
Violet has been stuck in her hometown, and, even though she has achieved in her career, it’s not what she wanted for herself. Eli is her childhood nemesis, returning to his hometown after cooking his way around the world.
They meet up in the worst of circumstances – when Violet is vulnerable – and Eli rescues her.
They immediately default to their bickering childhood state, with a dash (okay, more, much more, than a dash) of attraction. Now they are co-workers, in competition again, and they both desperately want to win but they keep stumbling over their mutual attraction for each other.
So the heat turns up, from a simmer to a boil. They insist it’s just about the sex, and it was fun to watch that notion take flame as they unite against a common enemy and finally get their HEA.
In Enemies with Benefits, Ms Noir has given us a witty and sexy enemies-to-lovers romance and well worth the read.
I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
This is the first in what I assume will be a series of five. Looking forward to the other Loveless brothers, Levi, Daniel (and Rusty), Seth and Caleb.
I loved the chemistry and connection that Eli and Violet have. Who doesn’t like a good enemies to lovers romance. These characters will have you falling in love with them and hooked from page one. This was an entertaining read that is well written and hard to put down. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Enemies with Benefits by Roxie Noir is a hilarious enemies to lovers romance. And these guys have a history that goes back decades.
Eli and Violet never really grew out of their childhood hate for each other, so when they’re brought back together after an unmitigated disaster of a blind date, leaving Violet stranded, things get a little more twisted up.
And when they find out they’re now working together and their boss is handing out a 20K prize to the best employee over the summer? Yeah, queue the competitiveness. Except this is where they find some common ground. Even though they’re both in it to win, they hate cheaters. And one guy definitely is. So Eli and Violet team up, to avert disasters and win fair and square. Because 10 grand is still 10 grand, right?
Only problem? These two are seriously attracted to each other. They may have been nerds in school, but they grew up hot. So they may hate each other, but they’re going to have some crazy sex anyway. And this isn’t an ‘I hate you, but I’m falling for you,’ thing. This is an ‘I hate you, the sex is good, damn you can cook, but I still hate you.’
And of course that makes it all the more better! Because these two denying their feelings, and insisting on hating the other is hilarious. I mean really, when they finally go hey I might actually not hate you as much as I thought I did, you gotta laugh, because mate, it was so obvious to everyone but them.
Eli and Violet are absolutely laugh out loud funny as you read this story. There are so many moments which just make you smile. And the supporting characters add a richness to this story, and I’m hoping we see more of them in the future, because there are for sure some interesting stories there. And the Loveless brothers and their mum have such an incredible dynamic, that I can’t wait to see more of these guys fall for their girls as hard and as epically as Eli did for Violet.
So I fully recommend Enemies to Benefits, but beware the book hangover, because it’s not fun.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
Oh my goodness, I am a freaking sucker for Enemies to Lovers and this book is the exact freaking reason why!
Eli and Violet have known each other since they were 5 years old. They always pushed each other’s buttons. Who started it? That is like asking what came first- the chicken or the egg? They have not seen each other in years and it irks both of them that their first thought of the other is how freaking hot that they have become.
Then they become coworkers- well this is going to be interesting, right? And of course there is a competition at work that brings out their competitive nature. And that is all that I am telling you about the story line!
The fire between these two is constantly there, they truly do not like each other for most of the book. There are some really funny parts and there are some not cool parts (not by our MCs, but other d-canoes in the story). The author did a great job combining all of these aspects into a pretty freaking awesome book.
I highly recommend this book and rate it a 5 outta 5. I am definitely keeping up with what is going to happen with the other Loveless boys, they have definitely piqued my interest!
PS: I received this book as an ARC but am voluntarily leaving a review!
This book was my first read from this author. Enemies to lovers trope has always got me unlike any other tropes.
I loved the tension between Violet and Eli, that is what makes this book. They were always competing with each other ever since they were kids. And when Eli came home for good, their banter started back up. What started as hatred and banter, turned into enemies with benefits situation. How will that work when they don’t even like each other?
With the perfect balance of heat, passion, distrust, humor, push and pull, this is a must read. And Eli’s family also added to the enjoyment of reading this book.
I love a good enemies-to-lovers story and this book did not disappoint! I found both Violet and Eli to be relatable characters with great chemistry. They have a huge competitive streak between them – one that started as kids – and they just can’t seem to let their competitive nature rest. They do bicker a lot in the beginning and while some of it seemed a bit immature at times, I found myself laughing at their back and forth banter. This book was sweet, steamy, and humorous with likable, well-developed characters and an entertaining storyline. Eli’s brothers are great secondary characters and I am looking forward to each of their books. I have enjoyed all of this author’s works so far and Enemies With Benefits is no different.
What a fun read!! I love the enemies to lovers trope and this book doesn’t disappoint!
Eli and Violet have been enemies since elementary school. Whatever one did, the other had to do even better. If either one ever showed a weakness, it was exploited to the max by the other. Upon graduation, both Eli and Violet head in different directions and are no longer at war with each other over everything. That is, until Eli returns to their small town 10 years later.
Now Eli and Violet are working together for the same company and the sparks fly immediately when they are back in each other’s presence. And as they say, there’s a thin line between love and hate and Eli and Violet are the perfect example. What starts as bickering and taking jabs at each other ends with a passionate kiss that neither can forget. Will these mortal enemies be able to leave the past in the past and embrace the attraction they feel towards each other now?
I loved this story!! There was plenty of heat in this story along with some sweet romance. Eli and Violet are great characters! I loved Eli’s brothers as well and hope they each get their own story as well. This is my first read by this author and I loved the writing style. I will definitely check out more books by her. Definitely recommend this book!
Eli and Violet have been competing with each other since kindergarten, after High School Eli left home and ten years later he is back in town and working as the new head chef where Violet is the events coordinator. The banter between the two and the sizzling chemistry kept me reading all night long. Eli’s brothers were so interesting and I am hoping each of them will be getting their own story. It was so good to read a Roxie Noir book again. I read an advance copy for an honest review
I love a good enemies to lovers story and this book delivers. Enemies for most of their lives, we have Violet and Eli. Only now they are all grown up and realize they have great chemistry. Can they be enemies by day and lovers by night? Will they find out they aren’t really enemies after all? Read and find out. There’s also a fun cast of characters, a little intrigue, a little work competition, a little chaos, and a lot of steamy sexy times. This is a well written book that keeps you interested right up to the happy ever after ending.
***I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.***
I absolutely loved Violet and Eli story!! I love a good enemies to lovers book and this book perfectly fit the bill and I was able to read it in one sitting and kept wanting more!!
I voluntarily reviewed a advanced readers copy of this book
ARC review For honest review. Violet when she gets burned on a date she didn’t think it could get worse on till her past Eli loveless shows up in her life ,but when sparks fly they both realize there is more to their relationship. Awesome story
I love this quick read!!!! It has funny characters and sexy chemistry between Eli and Violet!!! Can’t wait for more!!
Hating someone when younger and then finding them hot when they come back years later. What a turn around. But to protect herself she makes sure it is benefits only and not anything more. Lively exchanges, laughs, hot and steamy, emotional situations, suspense and much more makes for a well written and entertaining read. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Whew what a wonderful hot and sassy book! Loved the characters and their bantering and chemistry. It will keep you reading as fast as you can to see what happens next with these two. Never a dull moment. A definite must read! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author.
Hate is such a strong word, but with Eli and Violet not so much.
The competitiveness to outdo one another is strong with these two… So is the sexual tension wowza! From a young age, whether it be academic, in physical strengths or comebacks, they were out for blood.
When Highschool comes to an end, so does the rivalry, well sort of, not to be the last person to walk away, their previous encounter left them both in a dark place with one another.
Fast forward 10 years later, when karma cruelly puts them in the same arena to battle it out again, or maybe it is fates way of giving them a second chance for the first time- who knows, either way, it’s going to be one helluva battle the whole town will have an opinion on!
Hilariously sexy, with a side of swoon, I could not get enough of Eli and Violet’s manic romance!
Down to earth primary and secondary characters, by the end, I felt invested in all their lives and needed to know more, egged on by the free-flowing, well-paced storyline that wrapped its way around my heart, while giving me a severe case of butterflies.
Ms. Noir has given us crazy good, well-rounded enemies to oh yes please story that I had no idea I would need so much!
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!
#oneclickmaterial!
4.5 stars. There is a reason why this author is a must read for me, and this book is a great example. She takes traditional tropes and one ups them. This enemy to lovers’ story was well written and a joyous read.
I loved the tension between Violet and Eli that is what makes this book. The “hatred” was felt and I loved the way (as a reader) I was feeling that lust just as much as the displeasure they both felt for each other. I truly believe (in a well written story) the higher the hate the deeper the passion! This story might have melted my kindle… just saying.
With the perfect balance of heat, passion, distrust, humor, push and pull this is a must read. If you have not read this author before I recommend starting with this story, you will be hooked! I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
