Lisa and Frank had dated in college, but in an embarrassing public display that humiliated Lisa, Frank broke her heart. She was so damaged that day that she did not move on and find a new love.
So when Lisa finds out that Frank will be working at her family’s company, Lisa was beyond angry. And there was worse to come – he would also be her boss! Being around Frank again, working with him, could they rebuild what they had lost? Did they still love each other – especially when neither had seemed to move on to find someone else? What does the future hold for them?
This was a well-written story with a good story line. It comes down to whether or not they can trust each other again. They have strong chemistry together, but is that enough to warrant a second chance? Have they learned to better communicate with each other which can solve a lot of problems before they even begin? Grab your copy and see if they are willing to take that second chance.
Frank publicly humiliated Lisa when he broke up with her in college and something inside of Lisa broke. When Frank takes a position at her family’s compant Lisa is furious. Can Frank win back the love he so callously threw away?
I liked the story line. The characters were well developed but predictable. The story line could have had more conflict and drama.

The story line does have a twist here and there. The main characters, Lisa and Frank, were college sweethearts that didn’t make it. The author takes us on the journey from their past break-up to the present day when their paths crossed again.
Then the story gets to the heart of the matter. What comes after that second chance meeting at a friend’s wedding? The book plays the story out with angst and bit of compassion for Lisa and even some for Frank. The supporting characters in the story play an integral part as well. I’m not going to go into great detail here. It is enough to say that the book ends as it should for Lisa and Frank.
Frank and Lisa have a story built by a past that was not always pleasant and when given another chance, their love is found again and blossoms beautifully. It shows how you can work through hurt and betrayal and find the love you once lost.

Love enemies to lovers stories and this was great! There’s chemistry and that second-chance aspect as well with the secret baby. It’s like you get triple the trope in one story. Love their connection and their back and forth although their lack of communication did get me frustrated at times.

This is a sweet and intriguing story with well developed characters. I did not connect with them, but it is still a good storyline.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance, my heart broke for Lisa after the big breakup and I can understand why she’s emotionally distant from everyone but when her father now hires her ex, Frank to work in the company and try to win her back I could understand the hurt and confusion within her. They still have plenty of chemistry between them after all the years. Can Lisa trust her gut and her ex again to have a HEA?
Well-written story, the emotion pours off the pages. I really liked the characters
Frank and Lisa go from school sweethearts to enemies and then to lovers in this romance read , both are likeable characters , although it was cruel how Frank how up with Lisa in school , and Lisa is a grown woman and just did what her dad wanted instead of saying no and her parents said Frank wasn’t good enough all those years ago , but it was her dad who wanted them back together so she would be happy again , well written , good storyline , drama , ups and downs , steam , indecisions(on her part), and an HEA has you turning pages to see what happens next .
