Great Read!
This novel was a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There were many characters involved in the telling of this story but each character was clearly defined and unique. The main male and female characters in this story have a lot going on in their lives, besides trying to have a romantic relationship. Ms. Casey delved into dilemmas that we encounter in our lives; sometimes were are caught between a rock and a hard place in trying to do the right thing. It was interesting to have the insight of what both main characters were thinking; this gave the reader the ability to see the situation from both points of view. If only we had this option in real life.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
It is great to revisit the rusted and reckless boys. This book has lots of emotions, lots of fun lots of love and just a little heartache. Secrets tend to come out and they often cause problems, even if they are being kept for the right reasons. The band is moving forward and I look forward to seeing where the future takes them.
This is the third installment of Charlotte Casey’s Rusted and Reckless Series about a country music band. I think this one is my favorite one so far.
Darcy has secrets. Many secrets but two of them could end her career and/or break her heart. For three years now, she and Sawyer (front man of the hit country band Rusted and Reckless) have been seeing each other without anyone knowing except Nix (Sawyer’s missing brother) who helped them get together. She could be fired if her boss find out. The other big secret is she’s the only one who knows what happened to Nix when he disappeared over 9 months ago. When Sawyer finds out, she is sure he will no longer want anything to do with her.
Sawyer has a couple of dilemmas. One, he is in love with Darcy and wants to make their relationship public at least with the band and he has to find Nix before the label makes the band replace him. Which no one in the band wants to do and they are refusing to do. So finally Sawyer needs to hire a private detective because he can’t find Nix on his own. He asks Darcy to help hire one but she can’t cause then he will find out what she did 9 months ago. Solution? Get her brother to play detective and stall Sawyer. Sawyer is not having any of that and ends up hiring his own detective.
This is where the secrets start to come out and there are more than what Darcy thought.
Mystery, suspense, heartbreak and a brother that they thought was lost forever.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it. It was a quick good read. I can’t wait for the next one.
I volunteered to read a pre-release copy for my honest opinion.
